Chapter 3: A Tour of Alanpa and the Divine Consort’s Wedding Dress

Since Qing Yu was new to this world and unfamiliar with everything, Aldoran decided to give him a tour of Alanpa.

She thought that, at the very least, Qing Yu should gain a general understanding of the world’s customs and culture.

“This is Phil Town, Alanpa’s largest trading hub and its very heart.

Merchants from north and south pass through here, using it as a transit point.”

Strolling along the smooth, clean main street, amidst the calls of vendors, Aldoran, holding Qing Yu’s hand, recounted the history of Phil Town as they walked.

Yet, with Qing Yu’s long, dark hair and delicate physique, they appeared more like a pair of close friends.

“Wow!”

Gazing at the endless stream of merchants, Qing Yu couldn’t help but exclaim, his eyes truly opened wide today.

Along the bustling main street, besides humans, there were elves with pointed ears; short, hunched dwarves; strong, tall beastkin with animal ears; Lamias, bare-chested and possessing thick tails; and Harpies, with their wings and clawed feet.

All sorts of races moved through the streets, browsing for coveted goods, the sounds of haggling ceaseless.

These fictional creatures, which Qing Yu had only ever encountered in books and films, now stood vividly before his very eyes.

‘It felt just like a dream.’

Thinking this, Qing Yu couldn’t help but give himself a slap.

It stung, hot and painful; this was truly not a dream.

“Um, Aldoran, besides these races, are there any others?”

Swallowing hard, Qing Yu spoke up.

“Of course.

Besides them, this world also has Dragons, Centaurs, Plant-folk, Insectoids, Merfolk…”

Aldoran listed off race after race, as if reciting precious treasures, as they continued to walk.

“Among the Dragons, there are Wyvern Dragons, Sea Dragons, Land Dragons, and Sacred Dragons…”

Qing Yu couldn’t help but marvel at the sheer number of races in this world and the intricate detail of their classifications.

A sense of anticipation began to stir within him, imagining how wonderful it would be to travel freely through such a diverse world.

“So, Aldoran, what race are you?”

Qing Yu abruptly interrupted Aldoran, curious about her origins, as her appearance seemed to align with neither humans nor elves.

She possessed a formidable strength unknown to humans, yet lacked the distinctive pointed ears of elves.

“Me?

I was once an elf; now I am a Divine.”

Aldoran said nonchalantly.

“Those chosen by the gems lose their former racial characteristics and are called Divines.”

“Eh?

So, does that mean there are only twelve Divines in the world?”

Qing Yu gasped in surprise, drawing the curious glances of passersby.

“No.”

Aldoran shook a finger, negating his assumption.

“Just because there are twelve gems doesn’t mean there are only twelve Divines in the world.”

“Then you mean—”

“Other Divines exist in the world, but we simply don’t know their names.”

Aldoran stated.

“These are things children learn from a young age.”

“Right, right!

Then Divines must be able to use incredibly powerful magic!”

Qing Yu’s anticipation grew.

Though his own authority sounded a bit low-tier (TL Note: A slang term indicating something is of low quality, unimpressive, or weak.), it would still be great if he could use magic.

“Of course.

All races in this world can use magic, but the magic Divines can wield is the strongest.”

“What about me? What about me?”

Aldoran glanced at Qing Yu, then, still holding his hand and hurrying along, replied coolly.

“I’m sorry, but even with Frigga’s crest, only a faint magical circuit has appeared within you.”

Upon hearing this, a clear expression of disappointment clouded Qing Yu’s face.

“However, with some training, learning intermediate-tier healing spells, up to around the third rank, shouldn’t be a problem.”

Aldoran hastily offered cold comfort to Qing Yu.

“After all, there’s still the crest’s blessing.

Even if the crest is weak, it’s enough to contend with most people in this world, so learning intermediate magic is well within reach.”

“Oh, oh!”

Qing Yu brightened considerably.

“In that case, can I also learn some offensive magic?”

“Theoretically, yes, but you are a Transmigrator from another world.

The magical circuits within you are entirely provided by the crest.

If you wish to learn offensive magic relying on Frigga’s crest, you’d only be able to reach the level of the lowest-tier elementary magic, not even touching the threshold of low-tier magic.”

Aldoran shrugged.

“You’re more suited to learning support magic.”

“Hmm…”

‘It seems I won’t be able to rampage around with powerful offensive magic like a manga protagonist.

Qing Yu mused that he might even be the heroine; after all, according to Aldoran, she was the one who received the Divine Lord’s crest, not him.’

“What about you, Aldoran?”

“Me?

I can learn all types of magic.”

Qing Yu felt even more dejected now.

It seemed he was destined to be the heroine.

“Oh, right.”

Aldoran suddenly dropped the topic of crests.

Instead, she pulled Qing Yu to a halt in front of an imposing-looking clothing store.

“The wedding is in two days, and the wedding dress I ordered for you is almost ready.”

“A wedding… dress?”

Qing Yu froze.

“Surely, that’s not necessary, is it?”

‘A bizarre otherworld, a strange white-haired loli, and an inexplicable wedding – Qing Yu felt as if everything was simply too fantastical.’

“No.

As my wife, and even more so as the master of Frigga’s crest, you must be properly dressed.”

Aldoran flatly rejected Qing Yu’s request, pulling him into the clothing store.

“Hi! Good morning, Lady Aldoran!”

The moment they entered, a red-haired, crimson-eyed girl threw herself into Aldoran’s embrace.

“Lance?”

Unlike Qing Yu, who looked flustered, Aldoran remained expressionless.

She placed her hands on the girl’s shoulders and gently pushed her away.

“What are you doing here?”

“Honestly, Aldoran, you do love to tease!

Your wedding is so soon, of course I have to attend!”

Lance happily grasped Aldoran’s hand.

“Oh, right, right, and this is—”

“This is my wife, his name is Qing Yu.”

Aldoran turned her head towards Qing Yu.

“This is Lance, the Princess of the Northern Duchy.”

“Um… hello… I’m Qing Yu…”

Gazing at Lance, who was clad in magnificent attire, Qing Yu timidly extended his hand.

“Oh, oh! You’re Frigga, aren’t you?!

You seem to be someone from another world!

I’m Lance, a dear friend of Aldoran!”

When Lance saw Qing Yu, a glimmer of light flashed in her crimson eyes.

She leaned her face close to Qing Yu’s, meticulously scrutinizing his features, making him feel utterly uncomfortable.

“Oh, oh, what a beauty you are!”

Lance grabbed Qing Yu’s hand and shook it.

“Aldoran is truly fortunate.

Thankfully, the crest didn’t choose some strange creature like a magical beast.”

“Mm… mm…”

Qing Yu didn’t know how to respond to such an enthusiastic greeting, so he could only nod while subtly pulling his face back.

Although he genuinely wanted to chat with the girl, his current status as Aldoran’s wife made being too intimate with her best friend in front of her feel somewhat awkward.

“I, for one, think a magical beast would be more obedient.”

Aldoran, seeing through Qing Yu’s thoughts, remarked.

Aldoran understood that if she were to marry Qing Yu without any emotional foundation, it was only natural for him to be fickle.

‘Never mind, never mind.

Affection can be cultivated slowly.’

“Oh, right, Lance, how is Her Majesty Queen Alea?”

Aldoran asked Lance, while pulling Qing Yu further into the store.

“Mm, Mother arrived a day early.

She had intended to visit you, but was delayed by other matters.”

Lance’s tone was exceptionally cheerful.

“But since we’ve met now, why don’t you come to the inn where we’re staying tonight for a visit?!”

“Mm, that would be delightful.”

Aldoran didn’t refuse, accepting readily.

“Oh, right, right, are you here to see Frigga’s wedding dress today?

I just saw your name on the client list.”

“Um… just call me Qing Yu.”

“Mm, so you’re here to see Qing Yu’s wedding dress today?”

“Yes, I ordered the wedding dress a long time ago.

Today, I’m bringing him to see it.”

Aldoran said, waving away an approaching store clerk.

She walked to a wooden door.

“I had the staff specially prepare a room to store the wedding dress.”

With a soft ‘click’, the wooden door swung open, revealing a beautifully decorated room, shimmering with light.

The pure white wedding dress was adorned with subtly glowing gems, and delicate, beautiful golden threads intricately woven, forming exquisite and vibrant patterns.

Under the illumination, the pristine silk shimmered like dancing moonlight, pure and ethereal.

“I had them use silk woven by the elves, so it can change according to the wearer’s physique.

All the gems are carved from Falter magical stones mined by the dwarves, ensuring they glow in any environment.

The threads are refined from dewdrops collected by the merfolk each morning at sunrise, and then sewn by the merfolk themselves.”

Aldoran, still holding Qing Yu’s hand, walked him to the wedding dress.

“Would you like to try it on?”

Qing Yu truly looked like a girl.

His long, dark, lustrous hair cascaded over his shoulders, his crystal-like black eyes were moist and luminous, and his slender, pale limbs made his physique appear even more graceful than a woman’s, perfectly suiting the wedding dress.

However, despite the dress’s undeniable beauty, which exuded an intangible sense of sacred wonder, Qing Yu felt absolutely no desire to wear it.

“No, that won’t be necessary.”

“Very well then.

You can wear it on the wedding day.”

Aldoran, unhurried, agreed to Qing Yu’s wishes.

“Oh, oh!

Could it be that you want to save your most beautiful appearance for the very last day?

What a wonderful wife you’ll be~”

Lance teased playfully.

“Lance.”

Aldoran pulled Qing Yu behind her.

“You still haven’t changed your mischievous ways.”

“Sorry, sorry!

Anyone would have thoughts about such a cute boy, let alone that he’s the future Divine Consort (TL Note: The title for the primary spouse of a Divine Lord or God.

In this context, it refers to Qing Yu as Aldoran’s husband.)~”

Lance winked, speaking playfully.

“So beautiful, and the wife of Lord Odin, who wouldn’t be tempted~ I’m almost tempted to snatch him away myself~”

“Honestly, Lance, stop teasing me.”

Aldoran closed her eyes and let out a soft sigh.

She was not adept at dealing with people like Lance.

“Um, Odin?”

Qing Yu was clearly more interested in the ‘Odin’ Lance had mentioned.

“That’s me.

My crest is Odin, Lord of the Gods.”

Aldoran sighed, replying.

“I had originally planned to tell you at the wedding.”

“Oh, I see!”

Odin – it seemed like a name he had heard on Earth, but Qing Yu couldn’t quite recall it at the moment.

“Alright, alright, don’t overthink it!”

Seeing Qing Yu’s troubled expression, Lance hastily suggested that Qing Yu and Aldoran go for a walk together.

“Qing Yu’s aura… he seems to be from another world.

We can take him out for a stroll!”

“Mm.”

Aldoran assented, as bringing Qing Yu out today was indeed for this purpose.

“Then, let’s take a walk first.

It’ll also be a good chance to buy you some things.”

“What kind of things?”

Qing Yu asked curiously.

“Don’t you want to learn magic?

I’ll take you to procure some low-tier magical energy gems first.”

Aldoran said, pulling Qing Yu’s hand and heading out.

Lance also hurried to follow.

“Oh, oh, what kind of magic does Qing Yu want to learn?”

Lance asked.

“I just saw a shop whose magical energy gems are very pure.

They can provide a lot of energy for a beginner’s magical circuit and won’t cause any repulsive reactions.”

“In that case, I want to learn healing magic.”

Qing Yu thought for a moment, still deciding to give up on learning offensive magic.

After all, Aldoran was a Divine Lord; with her around, what was there to fear?

“If that’s the case, what type of healing magic do you want to learn: Light, Dark, Earth, Fire, Wind, Forest, or Water?

These are all relatively basic elements, and for a beginner with weaker magical circuits, they will be much easier to learn.”

Lance said.

“Um, is there a difference?”

Qing Yu felt a bit bewildered.

He hadn’t realized that a simple healing spell could have so many classifications.

“Because you’re a beginner, and your magical circuits aren’t strong, you can’t perform healing or offensive operations using the magic within your own body.

You can only rely on external forces.

These classifications represent the sources of that energy.

For example, learning water-element healing magic means using water elements as the energy source for your internal magical circuit.

The more water elements there are, the stronger the healing effect.

In areas like the ocean, a first-tier elementary healing spell can even achieve the healing effect of a fourth-tier elementary spell.”

Lance explained.

“Once your internal magical circuit becomes stronger, combined with the magical circuit and the corresponding element, you can unleash extremely powerful combat abilities.”

“Although it sounds somewhat underwhelming, these are the easiest magical techniques for a beginner to master.”

“I see—”

Qing Yu suddenly understood.

“In that case, I’ll learn light-element healing magic!”

After all, if light alone could serve as the energy source for his magical circuit, it would make things much easier for him.

“Great!

Then, onward to light-element magic!”

Lance shouted, jumping up happily.

“Onward to light-element magic!”

Qing Yu couldn’t help but join in, happily bouncing around.

Aldoran sighed helplessly, shrugging her shoulders, and held Qing Yu tightly to prevent him from getting lost.
