“Don’t look away.”

Without realizing it, Ha Eun-gyo had begun to lower his gaze. The Crown Prince’s warning stopped him cold.

Meeting the prince’s eyes was unnerving. Those pitch-black irises seemed capable of stripping away every secret hidden within him.

“You’re not from the Kingdom of Sinhye, are you?”

The certainty in his voice made Eun-gyo’s heart slam against his chest.

When he opened his eyes, Ha Eun-gyo found himself stranded in the unfamiliar land of the Kingdom of Sinhye.

“I’ve changed my mind.”

He prayed over and over that whatever the Crown Prince had changed his mind about would be something that wouldn’t bring him harm.

The Crown Prince rose from his seat, grabbed Eun-gyo by the arm, and effortlessly pulled him away. Dragging him into the innermost bedchamber, he shoved him onto the bed as though throwing him down.

As Eun-gyo braced himself on one elbow and tried to sit up, the Crown Prince leaned over him.

“To be honest, I only intended to use you as an excuse to avoid taking a Crown Princess.

I never planned to have you… but now you’ve piqued my interest.”
