X
I rested inside the tent for a while, recovering my strength.
Time felt stagnant here, but it allowed me a rare moment of peace.
I had filled my stomach several times with canned food and drinks, regaining my composure.
But I couldn’t stay here indefinitely.
I couldn’t stay stagnant if I wanted to escape.
Encouraging myself, I headed toward the door to the next location.
Slowly opening the old, rusty iron door, a vast parking lot stretched before me.
The floor and ceiling extended endlessly, empty and dark.
Fluorescent lights flickered constantly above the parking lot’s support columns, while the other, column-less corridors were barely illuminated by a faint light, pushing back the darkness.
A door was visible at the end of the corridor, but I couldn’t tell where it led.
‘What kind of place is this…?’
I cautiously surveyed the surroundings.
Suddenly, the parking lot lights began to flicker.
After flickering on and off several times, the light finally vanished completely.
Except for the area in front of the door where I stood and the supports surrounding me, I was enveloped in complete blackness. The flashlight was useless.
Shining the flashlight only drew more darkness, making it impossible to see even a single inch in front of me.
“What in the world is this…?”
Instantly, I felt a strange presence in the darkness.
The surrounding air seemed to ripple, and a subtle tremor emanated from the floor.
Then, something emerged from the darkness.
It resembled a massive octopus tentacle.
But it wasn’t merely a tentacle.
These writhing, pulsing appendages, like grasping arms, seemed alive.
They slowly swept across the area.
Strangely, they never approached the lit corridors.
Instead, these tentacles wandered the shadowed parts of the hallways, eventually fading back into the darkness.
‘This is definitely…?
The kind of tentacle you see in erotic games.
The slimy, purplish color made me feel disgust.
Gulp.
I gripped my flashlight and swallowed hard.
Even after the tentacles disappeared, my tension didn’t ease.
If I were caught by those tentacles, my fate would undoubtedly be… no, I shouldn’t imagine.
‘Are the lit corridors safe?’
I cautiously considered the corridor.
The tentacles clearly avoided the light.
Could it be that they couldn’t approach the light?
But I wasn’t sure. Perhaps their absence in the lit areas was just because there were no living things there.
My head was aching.
But one fact was undeniable: avoiding encounters with the tentacles in the darkness was crucial.
What should I do next?
I cautiously took a step forward.
I had to find the clue to escaping at the end of this passage.
Should I trust the light and stick close to the pillars, or should I run towards the door as soon as the tentacles disappear…?
The choice was mine.
“Wait, what if…?”
Observing the hallway and the tentacles’ behavior, I decided to conduct an experiment.
Jumping into the darkness was too risky, and I needed certain information first.
‘Alright… let’s try it.’
I took two empty cans from my pocket.
One was a leftover tomato soup can, and the other was a drink can.
‘The reaction to light and darkness might be different.’
I carefully rolled the tomato soup can toward a lit pillar.
The can stopped near the illuminated floor.
Then, I rolled the drink can into the dimly lit hallway.
The can smoothly disappeared into the darkness.
I held my breath, waiting for the tentacles’ reaction.
And as expected, the lights in the parking lot began to flicker again.
As the lights flickered and dimmed, the tentacles emerged from the darkness.
The sheer creepiness of the sight alone made my body recoil reflexively.
The tentacles slithered through the corridor, moving slowly through the darkness.
Then, they began to approach the area with the drink can.
The tentacles approached the drink can and began to manipulate it playfully.
The sound of the can crumpling could be heard, and the tentacles moved around it, as if teasing it.
Their touch was disgustingly slow and sticky.
‘This is…
Just imagining it makes me feel ill.
I shuddered and looked the other way.
There were tentacles heading toward the tomato soup can.
However, the tentacles stopped at the edge of the light.
They seemed to notice the tomato soup can, hesitating and attempting to get closer, but recoiled as soon as their bodies touched the light’s edge.
And they didn’t go any closer to the can.
“Are they afraid of light?”
It was a glimmer of hope.
Perhaps light might be a weakness for the tentacles, so now I needed to find a way to exploit this.
But at the same time, the tenacity and teasing behavior of the tentacles never left my mind.
If caught by those things, I…
‘No, that mustn’t happen.’
I gritted my teeth and resolved to avoid the tentacles and head for the exit.
After a while, the tentacles disappeared into the darkness, and the lights flickered back on.
I took a deep breath, releasing the accumulated tension in my body.
‘If the illuminated areas are safe, I’ll have to move by sticking close to the pillars.’
I lowered myself and surveyed my surroundings.
The exit door at the end of the corridor seemed far away, but the pillars were thankfully spaced regularly all the way.
“Let’s try this.”
I cautiously took a step toward a pillar.
Approaching a pillar bathed in the glow of the fluorescent lights, I pressed myself tightly against it.
My heart pounded as if it would burst, even after only covering a short distance.
Sticking to the pillar, I scanned the darkness. The surroundings were still silent.
After catching my breath, clinging to the consistently illuminated pillar, I started observing the corridor once more.
The fluorescent lights began to flicker again.
“Oh, please…”
Anxiety welled up.
The flickering lights became more frequent, and eventually, they went out completely.
The lights vanished, and the corridor plunged back into darkness.
Except for the pillars I was clinging to.
‘Are the tentacles coming back?’
I held my breath and crouched down.
And as expected, I felt a presence in the darkness. A heavy vibration traveled through the floor, toward me.
“They’re here…”
The tentacles slowly emerged from the darkness.
More tentacles than before slithered and crept through the corridor.
I clung to the pillar as tightly as possible, swallowed hard, and silently observed the situation.
I heard the sound of the tentacles moving around the pillar.
‘Please…’
The tentacles were getting closer.
The air currents were almost touching my skin.
And at that moment, one tentacle came right in front of my vision.
I almost screamed, but I managed to hold it back.
The tentacle moved slowly, as if examining the pillar.
Then, when it touched the boundary of the light, it suddenly recoiled and stopped.
‘They’re afraid of the light…!’
It was fortunate.
The tentacles didn’t try to reach the light.
Instead, they hesitated at the border, squirmed, and eventually slowly retreated.
“Whew… whew…”
I exhaled the suppressed breath, huddled under the pillar and trembled.
Fortunately, the tentacles didn’t approach the light, and I was relieved by this fact.
‘Good.
I’m still safe.’
When the tentacles’ presence completely faded into the darkness, the fluorescent lights flickered on again.
Only then did I relax my tense body and take a deep breath.
‘Light is apparently a safe zone.
I can move forward using this.’
I briefly surveyed the surroundings.
The distance to the next pillar seemed somewhat far, but I felt it was reachable.
February 2, 2025.
Day 1 in the vast parking lot.
Today, I left the tent and headed to a new location.
A huge parking lot appeared as soon as I opened the old iron door.
Faded lights and fluorescent lights flickered alternately in the endless space.
I thought it was just an ordinary space at first, but I soon realized how dangerous it was.
When the parking lot lights flickered and went out, strange tentacles appeared in the darkness.
They looked like slimy octopus tentacles, moving through the darkness, and only the light of the fluorescent lights could stop them.
I took a risk and conducted a direct experiment.
I wanted to move forward only when I had certainty about safety.
The tentacles were so disgusting.
Anyway, I rolled the empty drink can into the darkness and the tomato soup can under the fluorescent light.
The results were clear.
The drink can was found and teased by the tentacles, but the tomato soup can was not even approached.
Later, when the tentacles appeared again, I clung to the pillar, barely managing to avoid their attack.
The light was definitely their weakness.
It’s really fortunate.
Monster File: [Tentacle Yuri Trap]
Form: This… is… what should I say? A being composed of many tentacles, like a giant octopus.
The tentacles are slimy, translucent, and emit a faint purple light in the darkness.
The surface is covered in an organic texture; it looks like part of a large living creature.
They seem to have independent movement.
They act as if they have a will.
Characteristics: It appears that the tentacles can only move in darkness without light.
They don’t approach places with fluorescent lights or bright lights; they stop or retreat at the edges of light.
And the tentacles sweep through the corridor, searching for targets.
If they find a target, they try to wrap it with tentacles, teasing or trapping it.
They don’t simply attack; they seem to approach slowly and persistently, putting psychological pressure on the target.
Danger: It seems very difficult to escape if caught by the tentacles.
Their numbers are apparently enormous, too.
It is not just a blockade of movement but also involves psychological fear and disgust.
Weakness: For one, the tentacles cannot approach strong light.
Bright spaces like under fluorescent lights seem to be safe zones.
And, well, their movements are slower than I thought, so I might be able to outrun them.
I think it’s best not to try it.
