Chapter 20: Pussy Guard Killer

We started walking along a narrow path that branched off to the side after passing through the door.

While following the narrow, winding path, we discovered a small hole in the ground.

The ground around the hole was slightly sunken, and we felt that something was amiss.

“What’s that?”

I carefully approached the hole.

The hole was dark, so I couldn’t see inside well, but I felt a strange sense of unease.

“That’s weird. There’s no way there would just be a hole in a place like this. Something might be hidden.”

Sia looked around and picked up a stone.

“It looks dangerous to just pass by. Let’s check it out with this.”

I nodded and stepped back.

“Okay, throw it.”

Sia picked up the stone and threw it forcefully towards the hole.

The moment the stone hit the hole, something like a giant finger popped out of it.

The finger had a sharp, elongated shape, like a thorn.

The finger quickly came out, bounced off the stone, and then disappeared back into the hole.

“Wh, what is that?!”

I shouted in surprise.

Sia said in an excited voice.

“Oh my god, if we had just passed by there, one of us would have been stabbed by that finger.”

“………We’re lucky we noticed it early. But what is that finger, anyway? It looks like it was set up like a trap.”

“I don’t know. But what’s important here is that we avoided it. Let’s keep going forward.”

“Yeah.”

We bypassed the hole and moved deeper into the maze.

The surroundings gradually became darker, and the air became heavier.

But we couldn’t stop.

In order to find the real escape route, we had to keep going.

Not long after we started walking along the path again.

We heard an ominous sound from behind again.

“Could it be, it’s coming again?”

I turned around.

The woman with the still unfocused eyes and twisted smile was staggering towards us.

Sia sighed and picked up another stone.

“Okay, let’s do it. I’ll distract it with the stone, and then you lead it over there.”

I followed her words and chose one of the holes in front of me and ran near it.

Sia picked up a stone and threw it at her, shouting.

“Hey! You dumbass!”

The thing turned its head towards the side where the stone hit, and staggered towards Sia.

In that gap, I moved towards the hole and waved my hand to lure it in.

“What are you looking at! Come here!”

The thing slowly started approaching me.

I moved closer and closer to the hole, leading her on.

Finally, when she reached near the hole, I turned my body and quickly dodged to the side.

It was a close call.

The thing couldn’t react to my sudden movement and stepped onto the hole as it was.

Thump.

From inside the hole, the giant finger-like thorn popped out again and stabbed her hard.

The thing made a somewhat strange moan and was sucked into the hole.

The moan gradually faded, and soon disappeared completely.

“Oh my god…….”

That must have hurt.

She was wearing a skirt, so I couldn’t see the details with my eyes, but for some reason, I felt like I knew where that finger had stabbed.

…….No way. Let’s not think about it.

I shook my head and looked back at Sia with a sigh of relief.

She was also relieved and was wiping her chest as if she had been relieved.

“That was really close. If we were just a little late, we would have been in trouble.”

We looked at each other and shared a brief smile.

The bathroom looked like a school bathroom, and it was divided into small cubicles.

Faded tiles and mirrors, and a slightly old-looking washbasin greeted us.

A faint sound was heard from inside the bathroom.

It was a mix of something scratching and a light door opening and closing.

“Someone’s there, I think……………

I whispered and carefully approached the inside of the bathroom.

While walking, looking at each cubicle, I found that one cubicle door was slightly open.

“There, the open door.”

I turned to Sia and pointed at the door with my finger.

She nodded and followed behind me.

“Maybe someone’s hiding?”

I stood in front of the door.

It was dark inside and I couldn’t see properly.

I took a deep breath and slowly pushed the door open.

Squeak–

The door opened and the inside was revealed.

There was no one inside.

“Hehe.”

And from somewhere, someone’s mocking voice began to be heard.

As expected, this time again, from the empty air.

A day in a space that looks like a school bathroom at the end of a complicated maze.

A small hole found while walking along the road.

At first, it seemed like a simple obstacle, but it hid an unimaginable danger inside.

But I finally escaped from the maze!

The next room is a space that looks like a school bathroom.
