Chapter 2: Jo Nam-yeon.

“Whew~”

Standing in front of the entrance, he scanned the naked girl who had confidently opened the door, Chayeon, from head to toe, and then serenely whistled.

“You crazy b*stard.”

“Here, clothes.”

Namyeon handed over the paper bag he was holding in his right hand and strode into the room.

“I didn’t know what to do about the underwear size, so I prepared a few different things, but it looks like I won’t need them.”

Namyeon said in a gentle voice, staring intently at Chayeon’s chest.

Could it even be an A cup?

“You’re really something.”

Namyeon was not hesitating to make sexually harassing remarks in front of a naked girl he was seeing for the first time.

[He’s not even surprised.]

“He’s always been like that.”

Clearly, from Namyeon’s point of view, it was a woman he was seeing for the first time, but he was not at all flustered and acted as if they had known each other from the beginning.

In fact, they had known each other from the beginning, but anyway, as Chayeon had expected, he seemed to be accepting this situation without any problems.

Since he had guessed that he would be calm even in this situation, he had called him.

Chayeon gave up thinking deeply and immediately opened the paper bag.

What came out was a navy blue girl’s school uniform.

“What is this? You’re telling me to wear a girl’s school uniform right now?”

“That’s all I could get in a hurry.”

“Where the h*ll did you get a school uniform, you crazy bastard?”

“Don’t worry about the small stuff.”

Namyeon said with a smile in a very light tone.

Now that he thought about it, he was a guy who was good at making people feel bad.

If he had known this would happen, he would have ordered it specifically.

He couldn’t believe he would bring something like this to wear.

“And these panties are f*cking like this.”

Under the school uniform was a pair of pink girl’s panties with cute characters drawn on them.

It wasn’t for adults, anyone could see that.

A sense of repulsion washed over him, but he couldn’t wear a school uniform skirt without wearing underwear.

He resigned himself and began to put on the clothes.

He was struggling with the female clothes he was wearing for the first time, but thanks to Namyeon’s help, he was able to put them on quickly.

It wasn’t as uncomfortable as he thought it would be.

However, it felt strange because his lower body was empty in many ways.

“F*ck, how did I end up like this. Haa-“

“Miss Chayeon, it suits you well.”

“Shut up, you b*stard.”

He dismissed the playful words like that.

“So what happened? I thought it was some kind of hidden camera that you suddenly became a woman, but why is this real?”

“Do you believe so easily that I’m Jeon Chayeon?”

Chayeon looked at Namyeon with a dumbfounded look.

As he said, if this was really a hidden camera, and the real Chayeon was actually hiding somewhere, that would be much more realistic, even if it was absurd.

“Honestly, I didn’t believe it. I thought it was some kind of nonsense, but as soon as the door opened and I saw your expression, I knew. Ah, that’s Jeon Chayeon.”

What kind of expression was it?

It was an explanation that didn’t make sense in many ways, but anyway, it was easy to talk because he believed it easily.

Chayeon explained what had happened yesterday.

He had come back from exercising, felt pain while showering, and collapsed.

After that, when he came to his senses, he had become a woman, and he heard a voice in his head saying that he was some kind of spirit.

And that he had to kill something called a Baekgumiho in order to return to being a man.

Namyeon, who had been nodding as he listened, whistled when the story was over.

“It’s an interesting situation.”

“What’s so interesting.”

“So the thing inside you is a Heukgumiho? Can I hear the voice too?”

Was it possible? As he hesitated, a voice was heard from inside.

[It’s impossible. Unless I manifest in reality, only the vessel can hear my voice.]

“That’s too bad.”

“That’s too bad. So that voice could be your delusion.”

Namyeon said, plopping down on the bed.

“What delusion? Can’t you see what I look like now?”

“It’s definitely believable that you’ve become a woman, since I’ve seen it with my own eyes.”

Suddenly, Namyeon, who was looking at Chayeon with narrowed eyes, got up and came towards him.

Seeing him up close, he was a hand’s breadth taller.

Namyeon’s right hand, which naturally came up, gently stroked Chayeon’s soft left cheek.

“The only thing that’s true is that you’ve become a woman, but the voice you hear in your head…, well, if I had to say, it could be a kind of psychological defense mechanism, right?”

The hand that had been running down his cheek grabbed the end of Chayeon’s chin.

“Well, either way, I don’t care…”

“You crazy b*stard.”

Thwack-

“Ow!”

Chayeon kicked Namyeon’s shin hard.

Namyeon grabbed his leg and rolled around in pain that made his eyes spin.

“Isn’t that too much for this kind of joke? Oh, are you on your period?”

“Keep talking.”

At the fierce look, Namyeon was just grabbing his shin without saying anything.

“Putting the nonsense aside, there’s some truth to the opinion that this is my delusion.”

[I am not your delusion.]

“We’ll have to wait and see.”

He would find out the answer to this opinion today when he went to ‘Jindal’.

If the existence of the Heukgumiho was just his delusion, as Namyeon said, then Jindal would also be a place that didn’t exist.

“You said you were going to ‘Jindal’? An academy or something where people like you gather.”

In response to Namyeon’s question, who had recovered in the meantime, Chayeon nodded silently.

With a “Eucha” sound, Namyeon got up from his seat.

“Okay, let’s not dilly-dally and go quickly.”

He strode towards the entrance as he had when he came in.

Chayeon was just staring blankly at the scene.

“What are you doing? Aren’t you coming?”

“…Where are you going?”

“Where else? You said you were going to Jindal, right?”

“You’re going too?”

“Of course.”

Namyeon replied with a smile that many women would think was cool.

Of course, Chayeon had no feelings for it.

“Why are you going?”

“How can I leave our cute Chayeon alone? A guardian together……………. Okay, I won’t do it.”

Namyeon quickly canceled his words when he saw Chayeon’s expression.

“If I had to give a reason, it’s for my own interest. Suddenly becoming a woman one day. It’s amazing. Besides, I’m worried as a friend. Anyway, you’re a woman now.”

He had been showing an endlessly light attitude since they met, but it seemed like he was worried in his own way.

This consideration that Chayeon didn’t have was one of the reasons why he was popular with people of all genders.

“…Well, what. It won’t be boring if we go together. But don’t you have to go to school?”

“School?”

Namyeon held up his smartphone and showed the screen to Chayeon.

The background image of the mobile app of the prestigious university he attended was visible.

“I applied for a leave of absence after listening to you earlier. This looks more fun.”

“You crazy b*stard.”

Consideration my ass.

He was just a selfish guy.

“Guide me.”

[You’re talking as if you’re ordering around a servant.]

The two went out into the street.

It was summer, but it was still early in the morning, so it was moderately cool.

“Don’t complain, you parasite. So where is this place called Jindal?”

The place that Heukgu told him about was a remote province far from where he lived.

“What, why is it stuck in such a rural area?”

It was a place name he had never heard of in his life.

He had thought it would be in Seoul, or at least within Gyeonggi Province, but it seemed that was not the case.

“The transportation is going to be a hassle.”

[Originally, there is a direct transportation to Jindal from each region. But we can’t use it.]

“Why?”

[The direct means of transportation can only be used by people whose faces are known.]

“Useless.”

Since he didn’t have a car, he had to use public transportation.

The two headed to the nearby train station.

According to KakaoMap, in order to get to the area Heukgu had told him about, he had to take a train to Daejeon and then transfer to a bus twice.

“There, I’ve heard of it a lot, isn’t that the place famous as the headquarters of the J cult group?”

Namyeon, who had been thinking hard, opened his mouth.

“Cult?”

“Yeah, I saw a news article about that place being the headquarters.”

He was about to brush it off, but Heukgu intervened.

[That’s right. Jindal is disguised as a cult group in the world. Or rather, it is both.]

“Huh?”

Namyeon looked at Chayeon with a puzzled look as he suddenly frowned and made a loud noise.

“What’s wrong?”

“He says the place called Jindal is a cult group.”

[It’s not a cult group. It’s just a disguise, it’s an academy for people with supernatural powers.]

Heukgu protested in an aggrieved voice, but from Chayeon’s point of view, it was the same thing.

“Whew~, could this be a kind of evangelism to try to entice me?”

“That can’t be. I’m hearing this for the first time too. Is it okay to go?”

It was becoming more and more suspicious the more he knew about it.

“We’ll know when we get there.”

It was faster than he thought to take the KTX.

The problem was after that.

The bus times were far apart, and it took a long time to get there.

By the time they arrived at the place Heukgu had told him about, walked a few more minutes from there, boarded the private bus run by the J cult, and arrived inside, it was already midday.

“It’s so far away.”

He felt a little tired even though he had just been traveling in a car.

The place they arrived at was like a utopia.

As they walked along the babbling brook, he wondered if paradise would look like this.

“They must have money to burn.”

“It’s a famous cult. And shouldn’t you refrain from speaking so loudly?”

Namyeon said with a bitter smile, but suddenly Chayeon stopped in his tracks.

“Huh? What’s wrong?”

“No, I thought I saw someone I knew. I must have been wrong.”

He was about to go back along the path, but Heukgu stopped him.

[Wait a minute. This is not the way to go. Turn off to the side path on the right.]

When he looked to the right at those words, he saw a side path that sloped gently upwards.

Chayeon headed there silently, and Namyeon followed behind.

After walking along the path for several minutes, a classic building appeared.

When he went inside, there was a wooden desk and a woman in a Hanbok was standing there.

“Welcome. What brings you here?”

[Say you received a spirit.]

“I received a spirit.”

He was wondering if it was okay to say it so openly, but as Chayeon followed Heukgu’s words, he felt the woman pause.

“I see. Then could you wait a moment?”

With those words, the woman went through the door inside the desk.

He could vaguely hear the sound of conversation.

It sounded like she was talking to someone on the phone.

A moment later, the woman reappeared and spoke with the same polite smile as before.

“I’ll guide you. Would you like to come this way?”

They followed the woman up the stairs.

They climbed the not-so-long stairs and walked along the hallway to the left.

[Something’s strange. To go to the academy site, we’ll have to go out the door in the back. Is the procedure different for outsiders?]

‘Didn’t you say you knew a lot about this place?’

[I’ve never come here on my own like today. In the case of the previous vessel, Jindal discovered us and came to find us.]

He was a spirit who had no trustworthy side.
