Chapter 9: The Aftermath of Carnage

-SuperRedFlavorLeni is on a rampage.

The news echoed proudly across the battlefield. It meant I had secured my fifth kill, and that Leni had been robbed of a kill five times in a row.

“Wow… Guys, isn’t that a bug?”

[Real talk, isn’t she hacking?]

[Seriously?]

Bug? Please. These clicks were the result of highly skilled physical prowess and insane mental calculations.
Even I, who had only imagined this scenario in my head, hadn’t expected it to go this well.

“I’ll really focus and try this time.”

She should be getting angry by now, but Leni remained calm. If it were any other Iron player, they would have begged me to meet them in real life…
It happens sometimes in online communities, doesn’t it? Players who fought in-game end up fighting in real life. Such entertaining occurrences.

As expected, Leni’s patience was commendable. There was a reason she was a major streamer.
But even she was human, and she seemed to be wavering.

“Oh, wait! Ha…”

[She died again? She died again?]

Leni’s character was hit by the enemy Warrior’s body slam and collapsed miserably. It was a reckless trade, unlike her usual style. She was probably trying to catch me off guard with a surprise kill attempt.

It was pointless, though. I could steal a kill with a single click whenever the opponent’s health dropped below 15%.

Unfortunately, she still hadn’t figured out the principle behind it. Well, she wasn’t as mentally gifted as me, so it was understandable.

Anyway, Leni’s two consecutive deaths infuriated not her, but our teammates.

I completely empathized with their reactions.
The current score was 8-2. It seemed like an easy win, but Leni dying alone was concerning. Assassins were known for solo carrying, and because there were so many trolls, the class had a bad reputation.

“Haa… I’ll report the Dark Mage and Priest for verbal abuse after the game.”

It was getting thicker.
The density of Leni’s sighs, that is.
It was a signal for me to go one step further, so I immediately started typing.

[SuperRedFlavorLeni(Ranger):  Guys, don’t be too hard on the Assassin. I’ll carry you.]

Joining the teammates in criticizing Leni would be amateur. A true master doesn’t imitate others; they orchestrate their reactions.
And it’s always the sister-in-law who tries to mediate that’s more hated than the nagging mother-in-law, isn’t it?

“Wow… Is she seriously defending me? This is absurd.”

She tried to type a message denying the Dark Mage’s words, but of course, I was much faster. I had been waiting for this moment.

“Wow… I’ll just mute everyone and play.”

Leni’s single exclamation. That one word expressed the whole situation.

Leni, holding back her anger, finally crumbled. In other words, the feast of reactions was about to begin.

-SuperRedFlavorLeni is dominating the battlefield.

“Ah, seriousl!”

Leni no longer held back her shouts. She unleashed her usual excessive energy. The only regret was that she didn’t use any profanity today.
Still, it was a satisfying reaction.

=Victory!

It would have been perfect if we had lost, but unfortunately, we won. Perhaps because we were so far ahead in the early game, the enemy team didn’t take it seriously.

My kill score was 13/0/7. Leni’s was 1/8/11. It was almost as if Leni was sniping me.
I wanted to give her zero kills, but I ended up giving her one towards the end because the opponents started throwing.

-Ta-da!

“Ha…”

And I finished this sniping cleanly by typing in the results screen.

-SuperRedFlavorLeni left the game.

“Hey!!!!!!!!!!”

I turned up the volume on my smartphone and savored Leni’s reaction.

“Seriously, how can this happen!! Is this even possible?”

Delicious.
Why was this reaction so delicious? Was it because she was pretty? Was I just a pervert? Or maybe it was because I orchestrated it myself.

This is why people snipe.
It was fun to watch someone get sniped, but doing it myself released dopamine on a whole different level.

“So much fun~”

Leni’s broadcast wasn’t over yet, but I decided to stop sniping for today. I needed more practice.
My goal was to replicate the Dark Mage’s play from last time, at the very least. I had to teabag her at least that much.

For today, it was enough that I had etched my existence into her and her viewers’ minds.

Leni, unfortunately tilted, failed her promotion series again.
Perhaps thanks to that, or maybe because today’s broadcast was particularly entertaining, LoL Gallery was ablaze with talk of Leni.

-Wasn’t it just a lucky game? Even Assassins are broken if the game goes well
-It’s a build focused entirely on kill-stealing with
damage, why bother?
-Ranger’s attack speed is too slow, and the execution probability is only 5%
