Another month passed. I crossed Mariejois, reached the New World, and entered Wano Country, Kaido’s territory, heading straight for Onigashima.
“The Maxim is a godsend, and I am invincible.” The Maxim, capable of flight with enough fuel, allowed me to bypass Mariejois and avoid encounters with pirates and Marines.
“Information first.” Upon arriving in Wano, I stored the Maxim and began gathering information. This was Kaido’s territory. I couldn’t just barge in and try to take Yamato.
“Facing an Emperor, a full B-rank, is impossible for me right now.” I had observed Kaido from a distance and sensed his power. The Emperors were high B-rank, bordering on A-rank, the realm of superhumans.
‘I can barely reach B-rank with all my buffs. I’m no match for him.’ The power difference within the B-rank, the peak of human potential, was significant. Kaido, a high B-rank, was at least twice as strong as me.
My plan was to wait for Kaido and his Beast Pirates to leave on an expedition, then infiltrate Onigashima and rescue Yamato.
‘I need to get stronger before then.’ I drew the Holy Sword.
Wano was in chaos, ruled by the tyrant Orochi with Kaido’s backing. This chaos bred criminals, preying on others. I planned to grow stronger by hunting them down.
But there was a problem. After wiping out a group of murderers…
[Radiant Mana increased by 1.]
[Radiant Mana reaches 100!]
[Encountering the Limit of Class!]
[Growth of Radiant Mana restricted until Class is increased!]
“Damn it. I forgot about this.”
Reaching 100 in a stat, the B-rank limit, restricted further growth. To overcome this, I had to increase my Class, which was incredibly difficult, requiring the accumulation of significant achievements exceeding my current power.
“Should I challenge Kaido now?” Defeating strong opponents was the fastest way to gain achievements.
“No, that’s suicide.” Challenging Kaido now would be a death sentence.
“Tsk. I’ll focus on maxing out my other stats and skills for now.”
Despite this unexpected setback, my growth continued. Wano, despite being called the Land of Samurai, was overflowing with criminals, many of them surprisingly strong. I hunted them down.

“No new skills or Traits, huh?” I was eager to try the new magic unlocked by the skill evolutions. I valued every skill and Trait, as I never knew when they might prove useful.
“Well, I’ll wait for Kaido to leave.” I had eliminated all the criminals in the area, and further training here would only increase skill proficiency, not stats. It was time for a break.
I explored the Flower Capital, visiting restaurants and enjoying the local cuisine with the money I’d rightfully earned.
“I’m attracting too much attention.” My appearance made me stand out. Some samurai tried to kidnap me, but they were no match for me.
“I’ve run out of places to visit.” I had explored the entire capital. Bored, I sat in a shop, sipping a drink.
“Did you hear?”
“Hear what?”
“Kaido is leaving on an expedition with his crew today!”
“Oh, right! I heard about that!”
“Where are they going to plunder this time? These pirates…”
“Shhh! Be careful! If they hear you talking about them like that…”
I smiled, hearing their conversation.
“Today’s the day.” Kaido was leaving.
“I’ll wait until nightfall.” I paid and left the shop.
Night fell. Kaido and his main force left Wano, leaving only a few subordinates behind on Onigashima.
Holy Lightning
Lightning Strike
Rumble!
The Onigashima raid had begun.
Onigashima, Kaido’s airborne base, was now occupied only by his weaker subordinates, those deemed unfit for the expedition. Still, they were dangerous. Handpicked by Kaido, each one was powerful enough to make a name for themselves in the New World. They were, at best, high D-rank to peak D-rank.
But they were no match for me, a near B-rank.
Rumble!
Crackle!
My Holy Lightning rained down on Onigashima like divine wrath.
Mid-Low-Grade Radiant Magic
Radiant Rain
Radiant Rain, a large-scale spell that filled the sky with light projectiles, targeted the surviving pirates, piercing their heads.
Those who withstood the lightning and magic were cut down by my Aura-infused Holy Sword.
It took me 30 minutes to conquer Onigashima.
“Easy.” I scoffed at Kaido’s arrogance. Leaving his base defended by such weaklings.
“This is why arrogance is a poison.” Kaido’s arrogance led him to believe that Onigashima was impregnable, leaving it vulnerable.
“Oh, quite a treasure trove. As expected of an Emperor.” I had interrogated a subordinate and learned the locations of Kaido’s hidden treasures. I emptied the vaults, filling my Inventory, and left trap spells in their place.
“They’ll rush to the vaults after discovering the missing treasure, and boom!” I chuckled, imagining their reactions.
I headed towards my next objective: Kaido’s daughter, Yamato, the early-stage Oden-obsessed patient.
The prison in Onigashima’s basement. A prison for a single person.
I found her there, a young girl with striking white hair and red horns. Emaciated, she looked at me warily.
“Who are you?”
Slice. I cut through the bars with the Holy Sword.
“A pirate here to take you.”
Time to cure her delusion.
