When Mianbao woke up, it was already noon the next day.
The first thing she saw was the person she least wanted to see… the old witch Kunta.
“Since you’re awake, don’t think about being lazy. Get up quickly, there’s business to attend to.” Kunta said, walking out of the room with a tottering gait.
“The new clothes are at the foot of the bed. Change into them and come out.”
Mianbao silently watched Kunta leave, then flipped open the covers and sat on the edge of the bed.
“Eek!” Mianbao was only wearing a set of women’s underwear that someone had changed her into, and large swathes of her delicate skin were exposed to the air.
Mianbao just let out a strange cry, then rubbed her abdomen with her hand.
It was completely unscathed, with no trace of being pierced by the Umbral Beast’s claws last night.
Never mind such a large wound, not even the tiniest scratch could be seen.
Her snow-white abdomen was like a flawless piece of exquisite jade.
“As expected.” Mianbao smiled wryly.
Ever since she was little, any wounds she received, big or small, would heal rapidly in a very short time.
Even the almost fatal injury she sustained at the age of eleven had left her alive and well.
The strange “birthmark” on her back, a monstrous recovery ability that could be said to be beyond the reach of healing magic—all these things showed that Mianbao was absolutely different from ordinary people.
Perhaps, she really was a “demon”?
Mianbao stood up and stretched out in a big yawn.
What concerned Mianbao more was that Kunta definitely knew about what happened last night, but why hadn’t she asked anything just now?
“Perhaps she’ll ask later?” Mianbao thought, picking up the clothes Kunta had mentioned were at the foot of the bed.
A loud cry came from one of the rooms in the magi-mobile: “Are there no normal clothes?!”
“Damn it!” Mianbao closed her eyes, her fists clenched tightly, a huge symbol popping on her head.
“When you’re under someone else’s roof, you have to bow your head! I’ll endure it! There will definitely not be a next time!”
After putting on the new clothes, Mianbao suddenly felt regret.
The new outfit was a backless, dark blue, strapless cocktail dress.
It was pretty, but there were two things Mianbao couldn’t stand about it.
First, the dress was backless, completely exposing her fair back and the “birthmark” she had wanted to hide for years.
Fortunately, Mianbao’s hair was long and thick enough to cover her entire exposed back completely.
Second, the skirt was just too short, barely covering the top of her thighs.
Although yesterday’s dress also exposed her thighs, at least the hem was long enough to cover her knees slightly.
This time, it was a full view for all to see!
“Ah, if only this beauty were my wife.” Mianbao felt a strange force drag her to the mirror in the room.
In front of the mirror, she could finally get a good look at herself as a woman.
She touched her face and commented bit by bit: “She’s very much to my aesthetic taste: top-tier
looks, much prettier than Big Sister Marisa next door, big eyes, tall figure, slender fingers, boobs aren’t big enough, but her legs are long and straight…”
But the moment she thought that the beautiful girl in the mirror was herself, she immediately lost interest in this beauty.
“Firia! Are you ready? Come out when you’re ready!” Kunta’s urging voice sounded incessantly from outside the door, giving Mianbao the feeling that she was about to break down the door, grab her, and throw her out.
Mianbao kept her legs together out of the room step by step.
Mianbao opened the door and leaped lightly down from the magi-mobile.
Thankfully, the shoes she was given were not the high heels she had never worn before, otherwise that jump might have cost her half her life.
From morning to noon, the troupe seemed to have traveled a considerable distance.
The number of trees around had begun to gradually decrease, and it probably wouldn’t be long before they reached the Lange Village Mianbao had been dreaming of.
She hadn’t expected the magi-mobile to be even faster than she had imagined.
All the girls of the Kunta Song and Dance Troupe were already neatly lined up on a patch of grass.
Led by another slightly older girl, they were practicing a dance, which was probably the content of the troupe’s performance.
And those old women with monstrous strength stood by, watching.
Zero, with her inconvenient legs, was not participating.
She sat with Kunta, her face devoid of any expression.
Mianbao straightened her clothes, making sure there was nothing strange about her appearance before walking over to Zero.
“Zero.” Mianbao stood silently beside Zero and called out softly.
Zero turned to look at her and simply said, “Firia, you’re awake?”
“Yeah,” Mianbao replied.
Zero raised her hand and passed Mianbao something wrapped in a brown paper bag that had been on her lap.
“You haven’t eaten breakfast or lunch. Have something to eat first.”
Only after Zero mentioned it did Mianbao’s stomach belatedly start to rumble.
She really was hungry.
Mianbao accepted it without ceremony, opened the bag, and took out a piece of… buttered bread.
For Mianbao, this was very comfortable.
Eating “herself” while watching all sorts of beautiful girls dance was simply a joy in life.
Watching and eating, it was as if the buttered bread in her mouth had taken on the flavor of beautiful girls.
Kunta looked at her with disdain and said coldly, “I’ll make a special exception and let you watch this time, but you’d better watch and learn well. You’ll have to learn this dance later too, otherwise how will you please the audience? Also, can you control your eyes? I think your eyeballs are about to pop out. Such a nice girl, why is her personality so strange.”
“Cough cough!” Mianbao silently returned her supposedly popped-out eyeballs to their sockets, then finally noticed what Kunta had said about “also have to learn this dance.” Mianbao almost choked to death without swallowing the bread in her mouth.
“I have to practice too?!”
“Of course. Everyone except Zero has to learn.” Kunta squinted at Mianbao.
“And Zero is one of the few girls who has combat ability. Do you? If you do, I’ll allow you not to practice either.”
“Of course I do!” Mianbao stamped her foot and retorted.
Zero also looked at her.
“What combat ability? Magic? Swordsmanship? Or Magi-Knight Armor?” Kunta listed examples one by one.
And with each one she said, Mianbao’s face flushed a shade redder.
“Speak up, which one?”
“I-I-I!” Mianbao started to stutter.
“I can use a gun?”
“Oh? What kind of gun? A knight’s lance or a long spear?”
“Neither!” Mianbao shook her head and enunciated each word, “It’s a firearm!”
For a moment, aside from the rustling sound of the girls practicing their dance in front, both Kunta and Zero fell silent.
