Chapter 7 : Evening Light Shines, Garden of Light

Shinjuku Gyoen, located in both Shinjuku and Shibuya wards of Tokyo, is the largest park in Tokyo that combines Japanese and French garden styles, with an area of about 58 hectares.

As the filming location for Makoto Shinkai’s film, “The Garden of Words,” the scenery’s beauty went without saying.

However, no matter how beautiful the scenery, it always feels lonely to enjoy it alone.

Fortunately, Arisugawa Yuu wasn’t alone today.

Crossing the stone arch bridge over the green water, the trees provided shade, the birdsong was clear, and the distant skyscrapers and nearby pavilions were clearly visible, as though he had stepped into the world of anime.

With a fully bloomed cherry blossom tree as the backdrop, against the sunlight, Yukino Sora happily formed a peace sign, calling out to Arisugawa Yuu in a sweet voice:

“Yuu-nii, take a picture for me!”

Though it was a cliché pose, one had to admit—because the girl was cute enough, the pose didn’t feel awkward at all. Instead, it felt like the girl was meant to be like that.

Striking that pose, she looked pure and natural, bright and innocent.

Yukino Sora was such a cute girl, that it made one’s heart genuinely think the world was beautiful.

Arisugawa Yuu picked up the camera hanging around his neck, found the angle, and took several pictures in quick succession.

After finishing, he hesitated, wondering which photo to keep.
The petite Yukino Sora, snuggling next to him, stretched out a small hand and snatched the camera.

Upon first glance, she wrinkled her brow cutely, pouting as she complained, “Oh, Yuu-nii, you made me look so ugly! I’m not that short, you know!”

Arisugawa Yuu looked carefully a few times, puzzled, “But isn’t it really realistic? And you look very cute, too?”

Yukino Sora’s face turned dark, and a thin layer of mist appeared in her clear eyes.
She stomped her foot, humming, “Yuu-nii is such a big dummy.”

As she said this, she took the opportunity to embrace Arisugawa Yuu’s body, pretending to be angry and lightly hitting him a few times with her small hands.

It didn’t hurt, of course.

The girl’s sweet breath filled his nostrils, and her coquettish charm when acting spoiled was even more captivating than the early spring cherry blossoms.

Arisugawa Yuu reached out and ruffled her head, comforting, “Alright, stop it. It’s my fault. My photography skills are really not very good, and I didn’t take a good picture of you, Sora.”

Yukino Sora raised her head from Arisugawa Yuu’s arms, her delicate little face expressing a desire to cry, “Does Yuu-nii mean my photos look bad?”

Arisugawa Yuu quickly waved his hand.
“No, no, I absolutely didn’t mean that. If Sora wasn’t pretty, then you wouldn’t find anyone prettier.”

Hearing this, the girl’s smile returned, and the shadow of her displeasure vanished.
She started chatting to Arisugawa Yuu about all sorts of things again.

“Here, you should take the picture like this. This will make my legs look longer.”

“Here, the angle of the camera should be moved a bit so that you can highlight the subject of the photo.”

“Here…”

The girl enthusiastically taught Arisugawa Yuu a lot of photography tips, and Arisugawa Yuu found himself feeling a headache coming on.

Pressing his aching temples, Arisugawa Yuu sighed, “Photography is really complicated.”

The girl covered her cherry lips with a slender hand, giggling, “Giggle, giggle, Yuu-nii really is a dummy, isn’t he?”

Having been called a dummy so many times, Arisugawa Yuu was immune to the word. He awkwardly touched his nose and didn’t say much.

After the girl’s giggling stopped, she suddenly grabbed Arisugawa Yuu’s hand and said, “Yuu-nii, let’s take a photo together.”

Before Arisugawa Yuu could respond, the girl pulled him under the cherry blossom tree.
She snuggled closely against Arisugawa Yuu and, in the pose of a couple taking photos, tilted the camera and took several pictures in quick succession.

Arisugawa Yuu inwardly wondered—how could this girl have so much strength?

Although he hadn’t resisted just now, the force from his hand still surprised him. He even had a feeling that even if he had tried to resist, he wouldn’t have had the strength to fight back against the girl.

How strange.

She looked so small and delicate.

After taking the photos, the girl happily raised the camera, showing off her work to Arisugawa Yuu.

Arisugawa Yuu lowered his head and glanced at them.
Indeed, they were much prettier than the ones he had taken.

But, there was a problem—

“Sora, why does this photo look so strange?”

Arisugawa Yuu pointed to one of the photos and asked.

In the photo, Arisugawa Yuu was half-squatting.
The girl was embracing his neck, their faces close together. Due to the angle, it looked like the girl was licking Arisugawa Yuu’s ear.

But Arisugawa Yuu clearly remembered that the girl’s pink mouth was still a distance away from his ear at the time.

The photo just looked way too suggestive.

Yukino Sora blushed and tilted her head, explaining, “Maybe my hand shook a bit while taking the photo, and I didn’t get the right angle.”

“Is that so?”

Yukino Sora stomped her foot in dissatisfaction, grumbling, “Of course it is! When did I ever lie to Yuu-nii?”

Well, hearing the girl say this, Arisugawa Yuu didn’t investigate further.
He was just curious, and asked for the sake of it.

After taking the photos, the two continued to stroll.

After about half an hour, they arrived in front of a pavilion that looked exactly like the one in the movie “The Garden of Words.”

Looking at the pavilion, shrouded in dappled sunlight, the words ‘Evening light shines, Garden of Light’ involuntarily floated into Arisugawa Yuu’s mind.

Thinking of the plot of the movie, Arisugawa Yuu chuckled and said, “Even if it doesn’t rain, I will stay here.”

Yukino Sora tilted her head in confusion towards Arisugawa Yuu. “What’s Yuu-nii talking about?”

“Nothing, just saying something.”

“Hmph, Yuu-nii always says things I don’t understand.”

“…”

Because they had been walking for a while, the two of them also felt a little tired, and they sat down on a bench in the pavilion.

Yukino Sora suddenly took off her shoes and stretched her snow-white feet into Arisugawa Yuu’s arms, complaining with a small, sad face, “Yuu-nii, my feet hurt. Rub them for me.”

The girl’s snow-white feet were perfect and flawless, her cute toes were pink and tender, emitting a lustrous glow, and the lines of her feet were exceptionally beautiful, radiating a different kind of charm.

For some reason, Arisugawa Yuu suddenly felt hot.

He hadn’t felt anything before, and now felt strange.
Was it because the weather was too hot?

He thought so.

In a place Arisugawa Yuu couldn’t see, a pink glow flickered in the girl’s beautiful eyes, and the pure and lovely face, at that moment, seemed to be somewhat bewitching.

In the air, the girl’s sweet body fragrance grew even more intense, making him feel a little intoxicated.

A strong wave of drowsiness came over him.

At the same time as the drowsiness, a primal desire surged up from deep within his heart.

Staring at the girl’s snow-white feet, Arisugawa Yuu swallowed hard and muttered to himself, “I… I want to lick them.”

Although this sentence was incredibly perverted, at this moment, Arisugawa Yuu didn’t feel it was strange at all.

The girl looked at Arisugawa Yuu’s reaction with satisfaction.
She stretched her feet to Arisugawa Yuu’s lips, her voice extremely seductive.
“Yuu-nii, if you want to lick them, then lick them. Whether you want to lick here, or… you want to lick somewhere else, I’ll satisfy you, hehehe~”

If Arisugawa Yuu were still in a sober state, he would definitely feel very strange. Although the girl’s actions towards him were very eye-catching, the people around them seemed to completely not see, they not only didn’t give them any attention, but even the people who had originally wanted to come to the pavilion, subconsciously turned around and left. It was as if there was an invisible wall in the air, which confused people’s minds, while also isolating everything.

At this moment, in the Garden of Light, besides the sound of the wind blowing through the leaves and the crows’ noisy calls, there was nothing else.

No, there was also the sound of clothing rubbing against skin.

Accompanied by a rustling sound, the denim miniskirt slid down her snow-white legs.

Black lace, shining brightly in the sunlight.

“Yuu-nii, am I beautiful?”

Sitting astride Arisugawa Yuu’s neck, Yukino Sora’s smile was like a blooming flower.
