He wasn’t sure how much time had passed.
The girl finished dressing herself with a satisfied smile, concealing her perfectly delicate figure beneath her elegant dress.
A white cat, which had appeared in midair at some point, grumbled irritably: “My dear master, is this really all you’re capable of?”
It said this because, despite the girl’s bold words earlier, she had ultimately done nothing more than talk.
The most extreme thing she’d actually done was straddling Arisugawa Yuu’s face and taking several photos.
Granted, she had done so completely bare—but since the victim was unconscious, doing it and not doing it made little practical difference.
Yukino Sora blushed slightly and huffed: “Well, what else was I supposed to do?”
“If you ask me, you should’ve done something more substantial. You didn’t even take off your dear Yuu-nii’s clothes—just let him kiss you a few times. What’s the fun in that?”
Yukino Sora rested her slender fingers on her chin, her clear, beautiful eyes fixed on the white cat, a half-smile playing on her lips: “You perverted cat, you just want to see my Yuu-nii’s body, don’t you?”
The white cat frantically waved its front paws: “N-No way! I’m just an innocent little kitten who knows nothing!”
Yukino Sora snorted coldly: “Don’t think I don’t know. You’ve been able to take human form for ages—I saw you last time.”
At that, she glanced down at her own flat chest, her pretty face instantly clouding with sadness: “Waaah… Why are you so big, and with such long legs?”
The white cat wore a smug, almost human-like expression of triumph as it declared in a victor’s tone: “Must be natural talent, I suppose? Don’t be sad, Master. There are people out there who like flat-chested lolis.”
Yukino Sora’s face darkened. “Ugh… I don’t want comfort from a perverted cat like you. This world is so unfair. Why can’t we just swap bodies?”
“……”
The white cat raised a paw to cover its face, pretending not to understand what the girl was saying.
After a moment, it heard the girl continue: “Perverted cat, listen—I’m warning you, don’t you dare flirt with my Yuu-nii just because you’ve got a better figure.”
The cat sighed helplessly. Oh, my foolish flat-chested master… Don’t you know the term ‘sneaky cat stealing fish’?
As it thought this, it stole a few glances at Arisugawa Yuu’s handsome face in the sunlight.
No wonder he’s the man my lovesick master has her eyes on—he really is good-looking.
Its heart gave a little flutter.
As the current Saintess of the Spirit Cat Clan, though she had temporarily accepted the girl as her master, they hadn’t formed any formal master-servant contract.
Their relationship was merely a transaction.
Through this deal, she could use her position as the girl’s spirit pet to blend in and travel freely through the human cultivation world.
In return, the girl could borrow her power to aid in battle.
Each got what they wanted. No debts, no obligations.
A perfectly fair exchange.
So it wasn’t as if the girl could just forbid her from flirting, and she’d obey.
After all, according to Spirit Cat tradition, seducing human men to become their husbands was an extremely common practice.
Of course, while she did find Arisugawa Yuu’s body somewhat tempting, she had no intention of making him her husband—for now.
Spirit Cats lived long lives. She had plenty of time to choose a suitable mate.
Besides, Arisugawa Yuu currently appeared to be an ordinary human with no trace of spiritual energy. If she picked him and later found herself unable to even break the membrane… well, that would be extremely awkward.
This wasn’t a joke—it had actually happened before.
Cultivators’ bodies were far tougher than those of ordinary humans.
Spirit Cats were deeply loyal; once they chose a partner, they rarely changed their hearts for life.
She didn’t want to end up having to deal with her own needs alone—especially since, as a perverted cat, her desires were quite strong.
Unlike her timid, talk-only master, when she took action, she went far beyond mere teasing.
Simple flirting would never satisfy her.
Seeing that the cat wasn’t responding, Yukino Sora waved her hand dismissively, bored: “Alright, alright, I should wake Yuu-nii up now. If it takes too long, he might notice something’s off.”
The cat sneered. With her master’s cowardly nature, who knew when she’d ever get to first base?
No wonder, after all this time together, she was still stuck playing the little sister role.
Regardless of what her disobedient cat thought, Yukino Sora felt deeply satisfied.
Yuu-nii must have memorized my taste by now, right?
Thinking of the earlier wet sensation, her heart fluttered with shyness.
I wonder if I gave him too much?
Her eyes flicked toward the corner of Arisugawa Yuu’s mouth.
In the sunlight, a few glistening strands sparkled at his lips.
After the cat vanished, Yukino Sora first kissed Yuu-nii’s forehead, reluctant to part. Then, gazing sweetly at his face, she gently parted her lips and whispered: “Repeat after me: Three two one, one two three, aah—You will slowly wake up, and forget everything that happened during this time.”
Arisugawa Yuu, like a puppet on strings, echoed the girl’s words.
“Three two one, one two three, aah—I will slowly wake up, and forget everything that happened during this time… Huh? Did something happen just now?”
Yukino Sora smiled, satisfied with his reaction.
Heh, no wonder my Charm Magic that I practiced so hard finally paid off—it really works well.
When Arisugawa Yuu woke up, he felt a patch of dappled sunlight on his face, slightly blinding.
He raised a hand to block the light, squinting until his vision adjusted.
Then, a sweet, soft voice filled with surprise reached his ears: “Yuu-nii, you’re finally awake! Waaah, I was so worried—I thought something terrible had happened to you!”
Arisugawa Yuu looked up at the girl’s delicate, snow-white face.
Her beautiful eyes were misty with concern, as if she were about to cry.
His heart warmed instantly, and he gently reassured her: “Silly… cough cough… kid… cough… How could anything happen to me? I just suddenly felt sleepy and accidentally dozed off.”
The moment he spoke, something slippery slid from his mouth, making him choke.
Saliva?
But it didn’t quite feel like saliva—saliva wasn’t this slick. And there was a faint metallic taste in his mouth, like the sea.
Strange.
Maybe it was just his imagination.
He didn’t dwell on it. His mind was still foggy from waking up—hallucinations were normal.
Yukino Sora pulled a tissue from her skirt pocket and gently wiped the glistening droplets from the corner of his mouth, her voice sweet and obedient: “I’m so glad Yuu-nii is okay. Oh, Yuu-nii, are you hungry? Do you want to eat something? I’m starting to feel a bit hungry myself.”
Yukino Sora was telling the truth. After expending so much energy, she genuinely felt hungry and wanted to replenish her body.
Hearing this, Arisugawa Yuu realized he was a bit hungry too.
He was still growing, and they’d walked around a lot earlier—no wonder he was hungry.
So that liquid he swallowed must’ve been saliva from hunger, right?
After all, some had even dripped to his lips—Yukino Sora had noticed.
Embarrassed, he scratched his head and said: “Yeah, I’m hungry. What should we eat?”
Yukino Sora rested her finger on her chin, thoughtful: “Yuu-nii, how about seafood?”
Arisugawa Yuu instinctively replied: “Seafood… Hmm, I somehow don’t feel like eating it today.”
Yukino Sora’s face flushed slightly. She turned her head away awkwardly, murmuring: “If Yuu-nii doesn’t want seafood, then we can eat something else.”
“Alright, Sora.”
