I felt a gentle nudge.
“Lu You, wake up.”
“Look at what you’re signing up for.”
I stirred from a light nap.
I rubbed my eyes.
I saw Su Ye Mi standing by my desk, holding a form.
“What’s up, Class Prez?”
“The sports festival’s in a few days.”
“Everyone’s gotta pick at least one event.”
“What’re you choosing?”
“Four hundred meters, I guess.”
“Can I see what others picked?”
“Sure, here.”
Su Ye Mi placed two printed sheets on my desk.
She pointed at one and continued.
“This is our class’s sign-up sheet.”
“A few people haven’t chosen yet.”
“The other’s the festival rules.”
“Check it out.”
Neat black text filled the white paper.
Only narrow margins were left blank.
This festival’s different from past years.
It lasts two and a half days.
New events include javelin and shot put.
The last day has a 100-meter teacher race.
Most importantly, this rule:
During the festival, students must stay in the designated stands to watch, with free movement allowed, but returning to classrooms is prohibited except in special cases.
No way!
No classroom?
Am I supposed to nap in the stands?
With all that cheering, how am I gonna sleep?
I picked up the other sheet.
Zheng’s doing long jump and the 1000-meter run.
An Xue Ruo’s in high jump and the 100-meter sprint.
They seem pretty athletic.
Why do I feel like the only loser here?
“By the way, Class Prez, I don’t see your name.”
[TL Note: “Class Prez” → a nickname for the student who serves as the leader or representative of the class (usually elected). It’s a friendly or informal way of referring to them.]
“You haven’t picked anything either.”
“I don’t care.”
“I’ll choose from what’s left after you’re done.”
“Don’t want to take spots you guys want.”
Are you an angel?
A class president this considerate?
Is someone like me, a total slacker, allowed to meet someone like you?
For a moment, I swear this slender, pretty girl had wings.
Like an angel radiating pure goodness.
“I’m pretty confident in my athletic skills.”
“Anything’s fine for me.”
“As class president, it’s my job to let you guys pick first.”
“Having you as our class president is an honor, Su Ye Mi.”
“It’s not a big deal.”
“Just give me the form back when you’re done.”
“I need to pass it to the next person.”
She brushed her hair behind her ear.
She smiled shyly and took the papers I handed back.
As she walked off to ask the next classmate, Zheng leaned over.
“Told you, Young Master Lu.”
“Su’s totally your type, right?”
“You into her or what?”
“If I talk to a girl for two seconds, I’m into her?”
“Cool it with the romance brain, you jerk.”
Sister Yuan’s jealousy is bad enough.
You’re imagining way more than she does.
“But you said you’re into big chests.”
“Su totally fits that, and she’s gorgeous.”
“Too bad she’s blonde, not your fave long black hair.”
“Otherwise, she’d be right in your XP zone.”
Goddamn it.
If Sister Yuan heard that, I’d be in deep trouble.
“Cut it out.”
“I’m not dating, at least not before graduation.”
“If you’re into her, go chase her yourself.”
“Don’t drag me into it.”
“The sports festival in a few days…”
“Stop, Sister Yuan.”
“No physical contact with girls in that setting is impossible.”
“I can only promise to try my best.”
At ten p.m., Sister Yuan was hugging me in bed.
Her light purple eyes blinked as she tried to warn me again.
“Fine, but you better watch yourself.”
“If I catch you touching another girl on purpose…”
“Okay, stop.”
“I wouldn’t dare.”
“Last time scared me senseless.”
“You practically gave me PTSD*.”
[TL Note: “PTSD” (Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder) refers to a mental health condition triggered by a terrifying event, as defined in the text: a disorder caused by experiencing or witnessing actual or threatened death, serious injury, or physical harm, leading to delayed and persistent psychological symptoms. Here, Lu You uses it hyperbolically to describe his fear from Mo Yuan’s intense “punishments.”]
“I still get chills thinking about it.”
“That’s even better.”
“The more scared you are, the more you’ll avoid other girls.”
“Then I’ll feel more at ease.”
“You’re not worried I’ll start collapsing and foaming at the mouth around girls?”
“That’s fine too.”
“You’d just stay by my side forever.”
“Didn’t I say I’d take care of you for life?”
I gave an awkward laugh.
I didn’t know what to say.
Is dominating me that fun for you?
In the dark, I felt her soft, boneless hands roaming over me.
The cool touch was like a viper coiling around me.
Like my neck could snap any second.
“So, Xiao You, what’s your deal with An Xue Ruo?”
“An Xue Ruo? Just classmates.”
“With you watching me like a hawk, what else could there be?”
“Lying again?”
“Want to lick my feet some more?”
“Aren’t you two friends?”
Sure, An Xue Ruo and I are kind of friends.
But with Sister Yuan, it’s safer to play it distant.
“Barely friends.”
“Classmates feels more accurate.”
“Has she said anything to you lately?”
“Anything different about her?”
“Hmm… let me think…”
An Xue Ruo hasn’t changed much.
Same as always: top grades, friendly, the perfect honor-student mold.
“Nope, she hasn’t said anything.”
“I haven’t noticed anything different.”
Her hands stopped moving.
She pulled me closer into her arms.
Her sharp, pretty nose sniffed around my head.
“No trace of her scent.”
“You’re still clean, Xiao You.”
“You can smell that?”
“With a nose that sharp and bites that painful, are you part dog?”
“If I were a dog, I’d bite you and never let go.”
“You’d never escape.”
“My feet—you still want to lick them?”
“I told you, I’m not a foot fetishist!”
“Your feet are soft and smell nice, but I’m not interested!”
“Please don’t stick them in my mouth again.”
“Oh? Really?”
Her legs were wrapped around mine.
The cool, silky touch spread through me.
She started rubbing restlessly again.
I hate to admit it, but it felt good.
No, no, stay strong.
Act like it’s no big deal.
Don’t fall for her trap.
Seeing no reaction, she let go.
She pulled back, putting distance between us.
Just as I wondered what she was up to, her long, slender leg lifted high.
It pressed against my face.
“You sure you don’t want to lick?”
“If I’m ticklish, you’d find my weakness.”
Her weakness?
That’s tempting.
She’s always so invincible, no flaws in sight.
I’m completely helpless against her.
If she’s really ticklish there…
Why don’t I just tickle with my hands?
“Only licking allowed.”
“If you use your hands, I’ll demand payment afterward.”
Why does it have to be licking?
And what kind of payment?
I didn’t want to roast her weird tastes.
I didn’t dare risk her “payment” either.
Swallowing my embarrassment, I lightly licked her foot.
A flush spread across her face.
She bit her lip, like she was holding something back.
It worked!
Her weakness is her feet!
I put in more effort.
My tongue slid slowly across her sole, leaving a wet trail.
Her expression grew more strained.
She was clearly fighting to hold it in.
Got her!
One big push to break her defenses!
But no matter how hard I tried, her expression didn’t change much.
She looked more uncomfortable but held firm.
“If I actually laughed, it’d be from how ridiculous you look.”
“Haha, you’re the puppy now, Xiao You.”
“If I kept pretending I couldn’t take it, would you keep licking?”
Damn it, she played me.
I must’ve looked so stupid.
Good thing she didn’t take a picture.
“You… ugh, you’re too much!”
“Is messing with me that fun?”
“Of course.”
“It’s one of my few great joys.”
“Alright, you’ve had your lick.”
“Now it’s my turn to find your weakness.”
As she said this, she leaned in close again.
“Find what?”
“I’m mad right now, don’t—”
Before I could finish, her smooth leg slid between mine.
Her knee slowly lifted upward.
That devilish, playful smile appeared on her face.
Just before reaching a sensitive spot, she stopped.
She started rubbing the inside of my thigh.
“So, Xiao You, feels good?”
“Can I go higher?”
“No way!”
“It doesn’t feel good!”
“Stop it!”
A tingling pleasure surged through me.
My mind went blank, unable to form words.
“You sure you want me to stop?”
“You look like you’re enjoying it.”
“Be honest with yourself.”
“If you nod and agree, I’ll be happy.”
“I… no, I don’t want it.”
“Stop, Sister Yuan.”
I pinched my waist hard to snap out of it.
That was close.
Almost fell for her trap again.
I quickly rolled over, facing away from her.
A silvery laugh came from behind.
She pressed close again, whispering in my ear.
“If you don’t like it, I won’t do it.”
“Good night.”
