X
The second artifact was a folding fan.
It looked like a normal-sized folding fan, but the surface was painted with ancient-style patterns of the sun, moon, mountains, and rivers.
Under the sunlight, the fan exuded a mottled, ancient aura.
Just by looking at it, one could tell it was extraordinary.
“Senpai, what’s this one?”
This time, Arisugawa Yuu had learned his lesson.
Even though the fantastically functional fan was floating in front of him, he didn’t dodge.
Anyway, if Miyamizu Rin wanted to do something, he couldn’t escape even if he tried.
In that case, he might as well just lie back and accept it.
As if knowing his thoughts, Miyamizu Rin didn’t answer his question right away.
Instead, she covered her cherry lips with her slender hand and chuckled softly, her voice like tinkling silver bells, crisp and pleasant.
“Senpai?”
Arisugawa Yuu looked sullen.
Miyamizu Rin cleared her throat and said slowly, “This is called the River and Mountains Fan.”
“Good name.”
Arisugawa Yuu praised.
Miyamizu Rin glanced at him with her clear eyes, the meaning probably being—You finally said something human.
For the sake of her being so beautiful, Arisugawa Yuu decided not to argue with her.
Let it be known, he was definitely not doing this because he couldn’t beat her.
Definitely.
Arisugawa Yuu asked again about the fan’s effects: “Senpai, the effect of the Mind-Reflecting Mirror can be guessed from its name, but this River and Mountains Fan is a bit confusing. What is it used for?”
“I’ll give you a hint. Look at the pattern on the fan—the sun, moon, mountains, and rivers are all in one fan. Guess what its effect is.”
Miyamizu Rin said.
“Don’t tell me it summons these things to smash people in battle?”
After thinking about it, that was the only thing Arisugawa Yuu could come up with.
Miyamizu Rin rubbed her temples, a look of pain on her cold and beautiful face: “It’s my fault for having expectations for your brain, which is filled with girls’ legs and feet.”
“Senpai, even if you say my mind is full of lewd thoughts, I won’t have any objections.”
“It’s good that you know.”
“What? Senpai, you’re not even denying it?”
“This is a fact. There’s no denying it.”
“……”
Ignoring Arisugawa Yuu’s sullen face, Miyamizu Rin took the initiative to explain the fan’s effects: “You can think of the River and Mountains Fan as a storage artifact. As long as you have enough power, you can even put the sun, moon, mountains, and rivers into it. The upper limit of the space depends on your ability.”
“That powerful? Isn’t that like a world in itself?”
“It’s not that exaggerated.” Miyamizu Rin said blandly, “To be a world, it must be able to contain living things.”
“It can’t?”
Arisugawa Yuu looked disappointed.
If possible, who wouldn’t want to carry a world with them?
Having a harem, hiding beauties in a golden house—it’s a man’s dream.
Miyamizu Rin chuckled softly, “It’s not that it can’t, it just requires paying a little price.”
“What price?”
Arisugawa Yuu was full of life again.
Miyamizu Rin glanced at him with her clear eyes, a faint smile on her face: “Put them in, and they die.”
“Huh?”
‘How can it be so absurd? No wonder it can’t become a world.’
But in that case, couldn’t it be used as a refrigerator?
The sterilization effect would be top-notch, and things would never rot.
“What, are you still thinking of putting girls inside, doing some dirty things to satisfy your perverted beastly desires?”
Seeing Arisugawa Yuu’s strong reaction, Miyamizu Rin said with a disgusted look.
Arisugawa Yuu forcefully defended himself: “Senpai, even I don’t think about such things all the time.”
Miyamizu Rin’s ability to grasp the main point was always on point: “So, you’re not denying that there are times when you do think about such things, right?”
“Senpai, has anyone ever told you that your personality is a bit nasty?”
Hearing this, Miyamizu Rin smiled slightly, a hint of mischief on her delicate face: “No. Anyone who dared to say my personality was nasty has already… ahem, do you think everyone is like you, calling others annoying at the drop of a hat?”
“Senpai, please be clear. What happened to them?”
“Nothing.”
“There must be something, right?”
“Hmm?”
Being stared at by Miyamizu Rin’s oppressive cold gaze, Arisugawa Yuu wisely chose not to pursue the question. He raised his hands high: “I’m sorry, my attitude was wrong.”
The farce ended there, and Miyamizu Rin continued to talk about the effects of the River and Mountains Fan: “Besides being used as a storage artifact, the River and Mountains Fan can also be used as a conventional weapon. For example, it can imprison enemies and summon wind, rain, lightning, and other things to attack them at their location. Of course, the abilities of the River and Mountains Fan are not limited to this. The extent to which it can be used ultimately depends on the holder’s comprehension.”
“A crowd control artifact? And it comes with an attack effect? Isn’t that even more powerful than the Mind-Reflecting Mirror?”
“Are you an idiot?” Miyamizu Rin scolded him lightly, as if hating him for not living up to expectations, then continued, “As divine artifacts, there is no distinction between high and low. It depends on how the user uses them flexibly. Although the River and Mountains Fan can imprison enemies, it cannot control their minds. The Mind–Reflecting Mirror, on the other hand, can completely control the enemy’s mind, making them lose their ability and will to resist. Moreover, the Mind-Reflecting Mirror has various other functions, not just simply questioning the heart and bewitching the mind. Both the Mind-Reflecting Mirror and the River and Mountains Fan have many wonderful effects. Even I haven’t fully understood them and need time to slowly discover them.”
Alright, Arisugawa Yuu understood. Since they were divine artifacts, their functions were bound to be multifaceted. That’s what made them worthy of the title of divine artifacts.
The last artifact was a sword.
The sword was three feet long, ice-blue in color, and looked as if it were condensed from ice crystals.
Under the sunlight, the longsword radiated an ice-blue sharp aura, which was incredibly cool.
Although Miyamizu Rin hadn’t said what effects this sword had, Arisugawa Yuu was moved the moment he saw it.
Who didn’t have a dream of wielding a sword and roaming the world in their youth?
A handsome young swordsman with a face like jade, dressed in white robes, killing one person every ten steps, leaving no trace for a thousand miles—it was cool no matter how you thought about it.
Not to mention that with the two divine artifacts, the Mind-Reflecting Mirror and the River and Mountains Fan, as precedents, this sword certainly couldn’t be bad. Even if it wasn’t that strong, Arisugawa Yuu wanted to choose it.
Strength is temporary, but coolness is for a lifetime.
“Senpai, I want to choose this.”
Arisugawa Yuu pointed at the ice-blue longsword.
Hearing this, Miyamizu Rin’s face flushed, and she looked a little unnatural: “I haven’t even told you its effects, and you’re already choosing it?”
