Listening to the drill sergeant’s speech on stage, the new students in the audience listened in various postures, some not listening at all.
Due to her full rest at noon, Su Cheng was quite energetic during the evening lecture.
Lin Shiyue, drowsy beside her, had her eyes half-closed, seemingly about to fall asleep at any second.
It wasn’t just Lin Shiyue; looking around, many people could be seen propping their heads as if listening, but were actually already asleep.
It proved Su Cheng’s thought was right: a sudden, inexplicable weight came upon her shoulder.
Looking closer, it was Lin Shiyue’s head resting on her shoulder, her eyes already closed.
Su Cheng didn’t move her shoulder but lowered her voice, trying to wake Lin Shiyue.

“Shiyue… Shiyue, wake up…”

“Mmmph…”
The darling on her shoulder only let out a faint murmur, showing no sign of waking up, sleeping peacefully.
‘Hey, hey, you’re the class monitor!
How can the class monitor lead by example in sleeping?’
Su Cheng couldn’t help but inwardly grumble.
If it were Lin Shiyue from her previous life, she would absolutely never sleep in any class; she was always that model student.
Not only did she receive the outstanding student scholarship for four years, but she also participated in various competitions, winning first place and a lot of prize money.
Such an excellent individual was now sound asleep, a contrast so stark it made Su Cheng doubt if she was still a good student.

“Shiyue… wake up quickly, the teacher’s coming…”
Su Cheng’s words worked this time.
Lin Shiyue woke up immediately upon hearing them, her dazed eyes looking around.
Aside from the drill sergeant on stage, there was no sign of any teacher.
Finally, her gaze fell on Su Cheng’s slightly awkward face beside her, tinged with morning grogginess, staring at her with some displeasure.

“Why are you looking at me like that?
I… I was also doing it for your own good.”
Su Cheng explained in a low voice, pouting slightly, turning her head away to escape Lin Shiyue’s gaze.
Lin Shiyue quietly put away her displeasure.
She knew this wasn’t Su Cheng’s fault but her own for falling asleep.
She took Su Cheng’s soft hand, which was resting on her thigh, and gently kneaded it in her own palm.

“Alright, my fault, I’m not blaming you.”
A soft voice floated close to her ear.
Su Cheng shivered abruptly, glaring at Lin Shiyue.

“What’s going on, so close.”

“I was afraid you wouldn’t hear me, hehe.”
Su Cheng ignored her, looking up to listen to the lecture.
Lin Shiyue continued to gently squeeze Su Cheng’s hand with a faint smile, occasionally looking up at the PPT displayed on the screen.
Her delicate, smooth skin, and soft touch, were like playing with modeling clay; the more she played, the more addicted she became.
Lin Shiyue had no intention of listening to the latter half of the class, her attention entirely on Su Cheng.
Firstly, watching her listen attentively, and secondly, playing with her hand.
The dismissal bell, announcing the end of military training for the day, rang, and the previously quiet students became lively.

“Orange, it’s still early, want to go for some bubble tea?”
Lin Shiyue said, leading Su Cheng by the hand down the road.

“Seems like I don’t have the budget, so no.”
Su Cheng had a daily spending budget, otherwise, her living expenses might not be enough.
Lin Shiyue already knew her situation and had a contingency plan.

“My treat, really not going?”
Su Cheng immediately changed her attitude, grinning: “Well, if a big boss is treating, that’s different!
Let’s go, let’s go, off to the bubble tea shop!”
Lin Shiyue smiled sweetly, leading Su Cheng towards the school gate.
After all, this was Lin Shiyue’s university campus for four years, and she was already familiar with everything around the school.
Su Cheng was different; she was forced to pretend to be unfamiliar with everything, disguising herself.
Walking on the road, many people still cast appraising glances at Su Cheng.
Su Cheng, seemingly accustomed to it, didn’t react much; she wasn’t shy or blushing.
It was just the empty, chilly feeling between her legs that still needed some getting used to.
The evening breeze carried a hint of coolness, ruffling Su Cheng’s silver-white hair.
A faint, elusive fragrance was carried on the wind, drifting towards Lin Shiyue, who had a relaxed expression beside her.
Lin Shiyue remained silent, enjoying this moment of ease and the intimacy of holding Su Cheng’s hand.
Standing at the crosswalk, waiting, the two began to converse.
Lin Shiyue looked at Su Cheng beside her and asked, “Orange, what do you want to drink later?”

“A cup of lemonade.
If I drink bubble tea now, I might not be able to sleep.”
Lin Shiyue tilted her head, several question marks popping up above her.

“Drinking bubble tea makes you unable to sleep?
What kind of logic is that?”
Su Cheng shrugged, looking at Lin Shiyue: “I don’t know either, but somehow I just can’t fall asleep if I drink bubble tea at night.”
Lin Shiyue’s eyes widened for a split second, then quickly returned to normal.
It seemed just like the Su Cheng of her previous life.
She vaguely remembered one time when she and Su Cheng drank bubble tea at night, and the next day Su Cheng attended her 8 AM class with dark circles under her eyes, sleeping all morning right under the teacher’s nose.
So for Su Cheng, staying up late wasn’t just for coffee; bubble tea worked too.

“Is that so?
Maybe everyone’s body is different.
Perhaps your body has some special reaction with bubble tea that makes you excited.”
Su Cheng scratched her head in confusion: “Maybe, at least lemonade won’t cause insomnia.”
As soon as she finished speaking, the green light appeared.
Lin Shiyue gripped her hand and stepped onto the crosswalk, heading for the other side of the road.
Just then, less than ten meters away from them, a striking black sedan stopped, and then the car door opened.

“Clack, clack…”
The sharp sound of high heels landing echoed.
From the moment the pink-haired girl stepped out of the car, her scorching gaze locked onto the white-haired girl in the middle of the road.
A sudden, sharp gaze, like an arrow, pierced Su Cheng’s fair skin, making her spine instantly tense and her hairs stand on end, giving Su Cheng a fright.
Out of instinct and strong unease, Su Cheng abruptly turned her head, searching for the source of that gaze.
‘Who’s so daring?’
Curiosity prompted Su Cheng to turn and search for the source of the gaze.
She didn’t know until she looked, and then she was startled.
The source was a pink-haired girl, her exquisite figure encased in a well-tailored black dress.
Beneath the dress were straight legs adorned with delicate high heels.
The pink-haired girl’s face was as exquisite as a porcelain doll in a display window: fair skin, flawless features.
But at this moment, what made Su Cheng’s heart pound the most was the smile blooming on that beautiful face, and the pair of beautiful eyes firmly fixed on herself.
That smile revealed a chilling coldness, and her eyes showed scrutiny, like someone who had caught their partner cheating.
Su Cheng’s heart felt as if it were squeezed by a cold hand, her breath hitched.
‘How is Yin Xuelian here?
Didn’t she go for an off-campus study trip?
How did she come back already?’
Yin Xuelian wore an impeccable sweet smile, the curve of her lips just right.
She ignored everything around her, her gaze like a searchlight, with an almost pathological focus, staring intently at Su Cheng.
To outsiders, this smile was incredibly sweet, but in Su Cheng’s eyes, it sent a chill from the soles of her feet straight to her head.
Yin Xuelian advanced with devil-like steps, approaching them step by step.
The sound of high heels clicking on the ground echoed as if striking Su Cheng’s heart.
Su Cheng was so frightened her eyes were full of panic, and her legs stiffened.

“Orange?
What’s wrong?”
Lin Shiyue noticed Su Cheng’s stiffness and suddenly cold fingertips.
Following Su Cheng’s gaze, she looked back.
When Lin Shiyue’s eyes met Yin Xuelian’s, her pupils also constricted slightly.
‘It’s Yin Xuelian!’
Although she had considered that Yin Xuelian might see them, she never expected it to be now.
At this moment, Lin Shiyue tightened her grip on Su Cheng’s hand, dragging her forward, trying to widen the distance between them and Yin Xuelian.
Su Cheng, snapping back to reality, quickly matched Lin Shiyue’s pace.
Before Yin Xuelian could catch up, escaping was the best policy.
Yin Xuelian snorted coldly, her gaze sharpening: “Trying to escape?
Not so easy.”
The crosswalk’s green light was still on.
Yin Xuelian quickened her pace.
Before they could reach the other side of the road, Yin Xuelian had already crossed the middle line of the road.
As the green light entered its final three-second flashing countdown, Su Cheng and Lin Shiyue had safely stepped onto the other side of the road.
But the next instant, Su Cheng’s other hand was suddenly gripped tightly.
No matter how she pulled, she couldn’t match the other person’s strength.
Turning her head, she was met with Yin Xuelian’s icy expression.
Her cold, needle-like gaze pierced directly into Su Cheng’s little heart.
Su Cheng’s delicate body instantly stiffened, her eyes glazed over, as if her heart had stopped.

“Little Orange, where do you think you’re going to escape?”
