Chapter 58: Heat of the Night

Su Yubai’s “mark” wasn’t a hickey like hers, just a soft kiss on her collarbone, lingering there.

Feeling her warm breath on her neck, Jiang Yule’s breath hitched, voice trembling, “Done marking, Sister?”

Realizing her shaky tone, cheeks heating up.

Silent, Su Yubai’s hand circled her waist.

Lashes fluttering, palms sweaty, feeling nervous.

Before speaking again, Su Yubai sighed, leaving her collarbone.

Her hand loosening, Jiang Yule quickly grabbed her shoulders, sliding to her neck.

Su Yubai looked up, locking eyes.

Trying to read her, seeing only cool restraint.

How could she stay so composed?

Heart tightening, recalling a forum post, surging forward, lips near hers.

Back against the door, no retreat.

Breaths mingling, hers quickening.

Staring, still calm, restrained.

Breaths fused, familiar.

Yet Su Yubai didn’t move, unease rising—unlike this morning’s office or car.

At home, shouldn’t it be… easier? Why so restrained?

Pouting, “Shouldn’t you kiss me now?”

Whiny, wronged.

A flicker in her eyes, “Want me to kiss you?”

Lips nearly touching, glaring, “Isn’t it obvious?”

Watching, repeating, “Want me to kiss you?”

Calm tone, expression.

Realizing, releasing her neck, pulling back, “Don’t.”

Pushing her hand off, turning, freeing her.

Half a step, wrist caught.

Back pressed against her, waist encircled—

In her arms, lashes trembling.

“W-What?”

Chin on shoulder, breath on ear and neck.

“Classmate Jiang, you seem eager.”

Huffing, “Not eager.”

Amusement flashing, kissing her neck.

Skin below ear claimed by wet warmth, her heavier breath, body trembling.

“So good.”

Mouth opening, cheeks blazing.

Wanting to deny, unable.
Wanting to flee, waist trapped.

Kissing slowly, tongue grazing, breathing harder.

Heart oddly empty.

Earlobe enveloped, trembling, a shy sound escaping.

Breaths heavy, her swallowing loud in the quiet house.

Wanting closer, “Sister.”

“Hm?” Releasing earlobe, kissing neck, head tilting back.

Breath too hot, voice too intimate.

Grabbing her arm, turning, wrapping her waist, pressing close.

Heart pounding.

Kiss pausing, but loving the embrace.

“Sister, hug.”

Pausing, hugging back, feeling her breath, heartbeat.

Nestling, pulling back, bending, “Wanna hear your heartbeat.”

Voice soft.

Ear on her chest, listening.

Chest pressed, throat moving, trembling.

“Your heart’s so fast.”

Throat shifting,

Laughing, looking up, “Jumping, Sister?”

Watching, hand reaching, caught, pulled away—

Feet off ground, lifted in her arms.

“Ah!”

Silent, carrying her forward.

“Sister?”

Looking down, “Answer my question.”

Mind racing, set on sofa, still clueless.

Seeing confusion, sighing, “Yule.”

Looking up, she leaned in.

Lips two fists away, throat moving, “Want me to kiss you?”

That’s the question.

Smiling, “Sister.”

“Hm?” Hovering, unmoving.

“Kiss me.”

Wrapping her neck, pulling, kissing her.

Loving kisses, new in her twenty-plus years.

Tonight, bold, catching Su Yubai off guard.

Breaths hotter, heavier than ever, wet sounds catalyzing.

Kissing fiercely, tongue numb from sucking.

Neck stroked, coolness warmed.

Releasing, circling her waist, pulling shirt from pants.

Touching her smooth skin, no excess, caught quickly.

Breathless from kissing, no strength to resist.

Lips parting, a silver thread, licking it.

Her breath quickening again.

Grabbing shoulders, pulling down.

Pressing fully, softness touching.

Strange, wonderful.

Panting entwined, listening closely.

Phone ringing, breaking it.

Pulling away, coughing, “Phone.”

Voice hoarse.

Smiling, “Answer for me.”

Fetching, handing, “Si Qing.”

Startled, taking it, coughing, clearing throat.

“Senior Si.”

“Yule, busy lately?”

Sitting beside, scooting closer.

Glancing at phone, warning look.

Pouting, “Thanks, Senior, busy with Qiao and… Professor Su’s project.”

Scratching her palm, another warning.

“Oh, can you review your junior’s paper? I checked, minor issues.”

Meaning revise.

Pinching, shaking head—don’t agree.

Smiling, “Sorry, Senior, revising my own, might not be skilled enough, maybe ask others?”

Polite, firm refusal.

Silence, then, “Okay.”

Click, hung up.

Mischievous, pretending to talk, pecking her lips, hooking neck.

Responding, missing her tongue, escaping.

Slipping under shirt, caught.

“Don’t move.”

Hoarse, lovely.

Knowing call ended.

Dropping phone, staring openly, red eye corners, unlike her usual cool.

“Sister~” Voice rising, shaky.

Emboldened, “Say more.”

“Say what?”

Half on her, “Say you like me.”

Catching her hand, sitting upright.

Looking, back to cool, betrayed by quick breaths.

Blinking, hugged into arms.

Settling on lap, startled.

Fingers lifting chin.

“Sister?”

Lips brushing, parting.

“I love you,” nose touching, soft.

Heart trembling, hugging waist.

“Love you too.”

Silent, holding her.

Nestling, meeting eyes, she turned away.

“Shower.”
