Chapter 45: Control Your Dog

Feng Lili grabbed Luoyao’s arm without warning.

She yanked her back roughly.

Her strength far outmatched Luoyao’s.

Luoyao stumbled, falling onto a seat.

Her side slammed into the desk’s hard edge, pain flaring.

She winced but stayed in front of Xiaan.

Facing the aggressive girls, fear gripped her.

But she knew giving in now meant never standing tall again.

She locked eyes with Feng Lili, voice low. “What do you want?”

“Kid, don’t push your luck. Xiaan’s trash, ditched by her master. Stick with her, and you’ll just get bullied. Join us, and you can live a little freer.”

“Freer?” Luoyao scoffed.

“Your idea of free is bullying the weak? Sorry, we’re not the same.”

She said, “Move. I don’t want to fight.”

Luoyao’s defiance lit a fire in Feng Lili.

Before becoming Aleng’s blood s*ave, she was a delinquent.

Smoking, drinking, tattoos, clubbing—she did it all.

Bullying the weak was ingrained in her.

She couldn’t stand Luoyao’s self-righteous attitude.

No real strength, yet standing up for others.

What a fake hero.

It made her sick.

“Move? Dream on. Teach her a lesson. Let her know who runs things among blood slaves.”

At Feng Lili’s command, the girls closed in.

They surrounded Luoyao and Xiaan.

Hurling filthy insults, they shoved them.

Pushing them into a corner.

Luoyao had never fought.

She didn’t realize the shoves were meant to trap her.

By the time she did, there was no escape.

Her back pressed against the wall.

She held Xiaan’s frail frame tightly.

Her fingers trembled.

But facing these cruel girls, she didn’t back down or beg.

Her eyes, scared yet resolute, infuriated Feng Lili.

She scowled, muttering, “Do it.”

The girls swarmed.

Fists and kicks rained on Luoyao and Xiaan.

Luoyao shielded Xiaan, taking the blows on her shoulders and back.

So… Xiaan’s wounds came from fellow human girls.

How… ironic.

Punch after punch, kick after kick.

Some girls yanked Luoyao’s hair.

Their nails slashed her face and neck.

But Luoyao never retreated.

She kept Xiaan safe in her arms.

“Thought you were tough? Can’t even fight back. No wonder you’re friends with trash like Xiaan. You’re just like her. Blood slaves, living off scraps, and you reject Lili’s offer? You’re pathetic.”

Physical blows weren’t enough.

Their vicious words cut deeper.

“Hmph, you’re so weak, your master’s probably a loser too.”

Loser…

They’re… talking about Noah…

They dare insult Noah…

The girls didn’t know.

Sometimes, cruel words don’t break someone.

They ignite them.

They could bully Luoyao.

Beat her.

Say awful things.

She could endure it.

But insulting Noah in front of her?

Absolutely—not allowed.

Feng Lili watched the one-sided beating with glee.

Until the frail girl erupted with shocking strength.

Luoyao broke through the crowd, charging at her.

Feng Lili regretted it too late.

Luoyao tackled her to the ground.

The once-weak girl’s eyes blazed with fury.

Her hands clamped around Feng Lili’s throat.

“Do something!” Feng Lili screamed, clawing at Luoyao’s arms. “Pull this maniac off!”

The girls rushed to help.

They tried dragging Luoyao off.

But she was immovable, heavy as a mountain.

She straddled Feng Lili’s stomach.

Her loose hair veiled her face.

Her hands tightened on Feng Lili’s throat.

Feng Lili struggled, her movements weakening.

Her vision blurred.

In a haze, she thought Luoyao’s black eyes turned red.

“Let go… cough… let go, you maniac!”

The struggle continued.

As Feng Lili neared her limit, the grip loosened.

She seized the chance, shoving Luoyao off.

Luoyao fell, dazed, as if unaware of her own actions.

Feng Lili, helped up by the girls, clutched her throat, coughing.

She glanced at Luoyao’s eyes again.

Black pupils.

Had she imagined the red…?

She shook her head.

Didn’t matter.

Luoyao looked like that defenseless rabbit again.

Sitting there, lost.

Feng Lili had nothing to fear.

“You dared choke me, you little sh*t.”

She stepped forward, reaching for Luoyao’s collar.

Then, the classroom door opened.

The girls turned.

A vampire stood there.

She wore a white dress, tall, with a commanding air.

Her eyes dripped with disdain.

“Leng-jie…”

Feng Lili dropped her bravado.

She scurried to the vampire’s side, bowing. “Why’re you here, Aleng-jie?”

So this was Aleng, Feng Lili’s master.

One of the castle’s eldest vampires.

Luoyao, leaning on the wall, stood shakily.

Her eyes fixed on Aleng.

“You made such a ruckus, I had to check.”

Aleng met Luoyao’s gaze. “So, you’re the one fighting my blood s*ave?”

“Yes, Leng-jie, she nearly choked me,” Feng Lili fanned the flames.

Aleng’s brows furrowed. “Lowly human, don’t you know she’s mine? How dare you. Get over here and apologize!”

All blood slaves knew one rule:

Never cross a vampire in the castle.

Or you’d die.

Especially with Aleng, a high-ranking vampire.

Killing a human blood s*ave was like squashing an ant.

“She’s done for.”

“Who knew Aleng would show up?”

“Tch, dead’s dead. Who cares?”

“I wanna see how Aleng kills her.”

The girls whispered, certain Luoyao was doomed.

“Can’t hear me? I said apologize, or I’ll kill—”

“What’ll you do?”

Aleng’s words were cut off by a cold voice.

Heads turned.

The back door opened.

A silver-haired vampire strode in.

She ignored everyone.

Even Aleng, high-status as she was, didn’t register.

Her eyes saw only one person.

She stood by Luoyao, pulling her into her arms.

Then walked her toward Aleng.

“Noah… she’s your blood s*ave—”

Slap

A crisp smack.

A red mark bloomed on Aleng’s cheek.

Noah delivered it backhanded, swift and mocking.

Everyone—blood slaves in the room, vampires at the door—was stunned.

Noah was Yelan’s strongest heir.

But always low-key, never clashing with other vampires.

Yet today, for this blood s*ave, she slapped Aleng…

Aleng, whose status rivaled Huangwei’s.

“Apologize? Still need one?” Noah asked.

Aleng clutched her stinging cheek, silent.

“Fine, if you’re quiet, you apologize.”

Aleng bit her lip, glancing at Feng Lili.

Feng Lili, quick-witted, spoke up. “N-Noah-sama, I’m sorry, it’s my—”

“Did I f*cking ask you to speak?”

“Ah!!”

Noah didn’t care for her nonsense.

She grabbed Feng Lili’s head, slamming her face-down to the floor.

Feng Lili, knees and chest battered, lay there.

She stared at Luoyao and Noah’s shoes, too scared to rise or look up.

Noah’s gaze shifted to Aleng.

One arm around Luoyao’s shoulders, she pointed at Aleng’s nose.

Word by word, she said, “Control your dog, Yelan Aleng.”

“Next time she messes with my Luoyao, I’ll kill her.”
