What Does It Feel Like to Watch Your Own Little Kitten Eat?

Yin Xuelian didn’t have a cat at home, but she had a Little Orange.

She sat beside Su Cheng, her eyes fixed on her as she ate, like a curious baby.

Su Cheng herself felt uncomfortable.

“Sister Lian, why do you keep staring at me?”

Yin Xuelian smiled, her gaze still not leaving Su Cheng’s cheek.

“Because watching you eat is very fun.”

Su Cheng muttered under her breath, scrolling through videos on her phone while eating.

She happened to come across a singing video posted by someone a few days ago.

Gu Xiya’s Bilibili account was different from her WeChat.

“‘Xixi Doesn’t Hehe,’ isn’t this Gu Xiya?”

“It is.”

Su Cheng hadn’t followed her before, but now that she’d stumbled upon it, she tapped the follow button.

But it was precisely because she followed her that the look in Yin Xuelian’s eyes changed.

“Why are you following her?” Yin Xuelian said in a deliberately sad tone. “Is it because Sister wasn’t good to you and even made you sick, so now you hate me? Sigh.”

Su Cheng sighed helplessly, the piece of meat she had just picked up with her chopsticks hovering in mid-air before falling.

“Aiya, I clicked it by mistake, by mistake. Let me do it again.”

Yin Xuelian’s eyes never left Su Cheng’s phone screen until “Following” changed back to “Follow.”

“Hehe, that’s more like it. Hey, hey, don’t scroll away.”

“What’s wrong? Does Sister not like Gu Xiya?”

“I never said I don’t like her. I’m just jealous. You haven’t even followed my account.”

Yin Xuelian frowned slightly, a hint of dissatisfaction on her lips as she pouted.

Su Cheng was speechless. After a moment of silence, she exited the video interface.

“Then… you tell me your ID, and I’ll follow you right now.”

Yin Xuelian’s face lit up, and she said softly, “Okay, search for ‘Pink-Haired Dorothy’.”

Su Cheng couldn’t hold it in; the food she hadn’t yet swallowed almost sprayed out.

She glanced back at Yin Xuelian, “What kind of weird ID is that? Hmm?”

“Is there a problem? I have pink hair, and Dorothy also has pink hair, so I thought of this ID.”

With that, Su Cheng had followed Yin Xuelian’s Bilibili account.

“But, doesn’t Sister not play games?”

“I only just started playing. Besides, you don’t have to play a game to know the characters in it, right?”

“Oh, right, that… Goddess of Victory. Let me see your account, help me see what else I need to pull for.”

“Oh? Let me see.”

Su Cheng put down her chopsticks and took the phone from Yin Xuelian, a hint of curiosity in her eyes.

But after one glance at the “Nikke Warehouse” and another at the “Diamond Count,” she immediately closed the game.

Su Cheng could hardly believe her eyes. All the currently released characters in the game were fully limit-broken, and the diamond balance was a six-digit number.

“Eh? What’s wrong? Aren’t we playing the same game?”

Su Cheng was speechless for a moment, then handed the phone back to Yin Xuelian and said slowly, “It’s the same game, but also not the same game.”

She picked up her chopsticks and continued eating.

Yin Xuelian pressed, “What do you mean? Do I not need to pull anymore?”

“What’s left to pull? You’ve already pulled the entire card pool and all the characters, and they’re all maxed out. What else can you pull?”

‘Could it be those damn rich people?’

‘No, no, I should just say she’s a rich woman.’

Although she knew Yin Xuelian’s family was quite wealthy, to spend this much money on a game was truly beyond Su Cheng’s expectations.

Yin Xuelian scratched her head, somewhat in disbelief, “Is that it? I thought there were still a lot more.”

“With that many diamonds left, it’ll take until the year of the monkey and the month of the horse to spend them all.”

Yin Xuelian rested her chin on her hand and turned off the phone screen, “It’ll probably take a long time. If you want to play, you can use my account.”

“My account is almost at the end game, so it’s not much fun. Sister’s account, on the other hand, still has a lot of content left, so it’s quite fun. I’ll just use my own account. Also…”

Su Cheng explained for a long time, probably the length of a thesis.

“I told you, I’m not your wifey. If Sister keeps calling me wifey,” Su Cheng turned to glare at Yin Xuelian, a hint of dissatisfaction in her calm eyes. “Also, there’s not much to do on your account. I might as well play on my own.”

Yin Xuelian smiled faintly and held out her hand for Su Cheng’s phone, “Then lend it to me, okay? You can help me pull.”

“My account has a lot of good characters and even has the exclusive collaboration character from the limited-time event. Want to try?”

“No, what about giving me a surprise?”

“You can choose this one,” Yin Xuelian said with a smile.

Su Cheng replied without thinking, “No, it’s too expensive. Sister might as well save the money and treat me to more meals.”

“That works too. So what kind of surprise do you want?”

“Can it still be called a surprise if you say it out loud?” Su Cheng retorted.

“That seems to be true. So what is a surprise?” Yin Xuelian blinked, not because she didn’t know, but because she was pretending to be dumb.

“Silly sister, you don’t even know this. It’s an unexpected happiness. You’ll have to experience it for yourself.”

After hearing Su Cheng’s words, a strange light appeared in Yin Xuelian’s light brown eyes, and her tone was also strange, “Oh~ so my little baby likes this.”

Su Cheng immediately thought of what happened yesterday and quickly stopped Yin Xuelian, “No, no, don’t misunderstand me.”

“Hehehe.”

The lovely laughter beside her sounded like teasing to Su Cheng.

Helpless, Su Cheng pouted, picked up her chopsticks, and threw out her words before continuing to eat, “Hmph, Sister Lian clearly knew and was still teasing me. I’m not talking to you anymore.”

“Wifey, don’t be like that. I was wrong,” Yin Xuelian’s sweet, childish tone gave Su Cheng goosebumps.

Su Cheng rolled her eyes at Yin Xuelian and growled, “I’ll say it again, I’m not your wifey!”

“Wuwuwu, I’ve been abandoned by my wifey…”

Yin Xuelian covered her face with her hands and started to fake cry.

Su Cheng looked up and sighed, feeling an urge to let the world be destroyed.

‘Can someone tell me what I should do when the school belle calls me wifey every day? Should I agree or not? Huh?’

“Alright, stop messing around. Does Sister Lian want to eat?”

The playful banter ended, and Yin Xuelian returned to her normal expression, “You eat. This meal was bought especially for you. I was afraid it wouldn’t be enough.”

Su Cheng glanced at the lunchbox on the table. About a third of the food was left, which wasn’t much.

It didn’t look like enough for one person.

“Haha… it doesn’t seem to be enough for Sister Lian,” Su Cheng laughed dryly, scratching the back of her head.

“No need. I ate a lot for lunch. I’ll be fine even if I don’t eat dinner.”

“Huh? Can you manage like that?”

Yin Xuelian nodded lightly, her eyes holding a deep meaning as she gazed at Su Cheng, “I’ll feed you until you’re full in the future.”

‘I used to do this often.’

The ‘before’ she spoke of was the days after their breakup in their past life.

In order to quickly move on from the relationship, Yin Xuelian had thrown herself into exams and certifications, in a way that was almost self-torture.

In the end, she developed stomach problems, and she hadn’t forgotten a single bit of that relationship.

“Oh, oh, Little Orange, we brought you back food! Aren’t you going to thank us? Hey, Senior Yin is here too.”

Chen Xi stood at the dormitory door, holding a bag like a monkey.

“Hello,” Yin Xuelian greeted Chen Xi and Sun Xiaochen behind her.

When Chen Xi saw that Su Cheng was already eating, her big eyes blinked continuously, as if she had figured something out.

“Aiya, Little Orange, you’re already eating. Doesn’t that mean the food I brought is wasted?”

Su Cheng looked at Chen Xi and quickly said, “It’s not a waste. Give it to Sister Lian, she hasn’t eaten.”

“Oh, that works too. Senior Yin, I hope you don’t mind the dishes I ordered,” Chen Xi said with a smile as she handed the food to Yin Xuelian.

Yin Xuelian smiled politely, “Not at all, I’m not a picky eater. Thank you.”

After handing the food to Yin Xuelian, Chen Xi slowly backed away, took a deep look at Su Cheng and Yin Xuelian, and then turned to walk towards Sun Xiaochen.

“Hehe, it’s nothing, it’s nothing. You two take your time. Xiaochen and I are going for a walk.”

Sun Xiaochen turned a blind eye. Just as she stepped into the dorm, she was pulled out by Chen Xi, “Hey, hey, what are you doing?”

“Aiya, we just ate. Let’s go for a walk. Let’s go, let’s go.”

“Geez, you’re really something else.”

The dormitory door closed again, leaving the dumbfounded Su Cheng and Yin Xuelian behind.

Su Cheng thought about it and came to the conclusion that Chen Xi didn’t want to be a third wheel.

This explanation seemed very reasonable.

“Your roommate is quite interesting,” Yin Xuelian looked at Su Cheng, the smile on her face unconcealed.

“Indeed, just a little too interesting.”

Su Cheng continued to eat, and Yin Xuelian also started to use her chopsticks.
