Chapter 27: A Goodnight Kiss and a Mysterious Uniform

Mmm…”

Feeling Bai Hao’s fervent breath, Xia Zhiquiu’s beautiful eyes widened, filled with a mixture of shame and indignation.

She reached out, intending to push him away, but found herself utterly unable to budge him, forced to let him leave his mark between her lips and teeth…

After a long moment, Bai Hao finally ended the goodnight kiss.

He gazed at the mature woman before him, her eyes languid and seductive, her breaths coming in soft gasps, feeling an undeniable sense of wanting more.

By now, Xia Zhiquiu’s body had become utterly pliant; had she not still been seated in the car, she would likely have collapsed directly onto the ground.

Xia Zhiquiu was consumed by intense shame and indignation over her body’s uncooperative state, yet she found herself helpless.

Even though she knew perfectly well that she didn’t like men, being forcibly kissed by this little scoundrel left her utterly drained of strength…

“Auntie Xia, goodnight.”

This time, Bai Hao had no intention of further tormenting her, understanding that excess could be detrimental.

Thus, he merely leaned in and gently kissed the forehead of the stunning beauty before him.

The brush of Bai Hao’s breath as he spoke tickled Xia Zhiquiu’s nose, causing her to instinctively turn her head away.

Her eyes, somewhat adrift, she uttered,

“You, you hurry and get out! Don’t make me bite you!”

Hearing this, Bai Hao opened the car door, but then turned his head back to say,

“Bite? You really mean it?”

For a moment, Xia Zhiquiu didn’t grasp why Bai Hao was suddenly so excited.

However, as she silently repeated the word ‘bite’ to herself, a realization dawned upon her, and her charming, alluring face immediately flushed crimson.

“Where did your mind go?! You scoundrel!”

After a soft, indignant curse, Xia Zhiquiu knew it was impossible to let Bai Hao linger any longer.

She decisively lifted her leg and kicked out at him, sending him tumbling out of the car.

Bai Hao rubbed his lower back and pouted.

“If it’s not allowed, it’s not allowed. Why be so violent?”

Inside the car, Xia Zhiquiu watched Bai Hao, who kept turning his head back every few steps.

Only after he finally entered the villa did she finally let out a sigh of relief.

However, she didn’t drive away immediately.

Instead, she waited for a good while until her body no longer felt so weak before finally departing.

By the time she returned home, it was already quite late.

Xia Zhiquiu gazed at the diamond ring on her ring finger, a flicker of an unusual emotion passing through her eyes.

But she quickly snapped back to reality, hastily removing the ring and slipping it into her pocket.

Only then did she take out her keys and open the door.

“Mom, you’re finally back.”

Xia Wei was still awake at this hour.

Upon seeing the beautiful woman return home, she still felt a touch of disbelief.

After all, not long ago, she had jokingly remarked that her dad could be her mom.

She never expected her words to become a prophecy, and now her dad truly had become her mom!

Xia Zhiquiu noticed Xia Wei staring directly at her.

She glanced down at herself, and, a little bewildered, asked,

“What is it, Xia Wei?”

Xia Wei shook her head.

“Nothing, really. It’s just that Dad is so beautiful after becoming Mom. I wonder which man will be lucky enough to marry you.”

Xia Zhiquiu froze for a moment at these words.

Immediately, the image of a certain scoundrel flashed through her mind, causing her delicate body to tremble slightly.

She quickly cut off her thoughts and cleared her throat twice, saying,

“Instead of constantly thinking about such things, you should put more effort into your studies.”

Xia Wei hummed in response, expressing both disagreement and a touch of curiosity as she asked,

“Mom, what exactly happened with my shadow disappearing? Are there really ghosts in this world?”

Xia Zhiquiu gently ruffled her head.

“Don’t overthink it. Go to bed quickly. You have school tomorrow.”

Xia Wei didn’t dwell on it further.

She nodded and then returned to her room.

Xia Zhiquiu sighed at this.

She was unsure whether she should tell her daughter about the supernatural entities.

Although Xia Wei had escaped harm this time, what would happen if she encountered another supernatural entity?

If she had known beforehand that such entities existed in this world, she might have had a slim chance of survival when truly facing one.

Of course, that possibility was quite remote.

For ordinary people, even a single vengeful spirit-level supernatural entity would render them utterly defenseless.

***

The following day, in the afternoon.

Xia Zhiquiu arrived at Bai Hao’s villa, as per their agreement, to tutor him.

However, her expression was fraught with internal conflict.

While it was ostensibly for tutoring, she was perfectly aware of Bai Hao’s true intentions: he simply coveted her body.

Yet, Xia Zhiquiu couldn’t possibly defeat him.

Therefore, entering would be akin to a lamb walking into a tiger’s den, wouldn’t it, even if she refused to admit she was any kind of lamb.

Bai Hao, however, had long since taken in Xia Zhiquiu’s inner turmoil.

With his current strength, no rustle of wind or blade of grass around his home could escape his notice, much less a ‘prey’ that had captured his interest.

At this thought, Bai Hao’s lips curved into a slight smile.

He instantly appeared behind Xia Zhiquiu and hooked an arm around her slender waist.

“Ah!”

At Bai Hao’s sudden grasp, Xia Zhiquiu instinctively cried out.

Upon turning and seeing it was him, she immediately bristled with shame and annoyance.

“You, are you a ghost? You make no sound when you walk. And also, let go of me.”

Hearing this, Bai Hao, of course, had no intention of letting go.

Instead, he leaned closer to the exquisite neck of the stunning auntie before him and took a deep breath, murmuring with appreciation,

“Truly fragrant… Auntie Xia, you’re late today, you know.”

Xia Zhiquiu felt a pang of guilt upon hearing this, as she truly had arrived quite late.

“So, let’s not waste any more time. Didn’t you want me to tutor you?”

Bai Hao chuckled softly at this, deciding to temporarily let the ‘disobedient’ Auntie Xia off the hook.

He nodded.

“Alright then, Teacher Xia, let’s go inside. First, I’ll take you to register your fingerprints. After all, this is your home now, too. It’s our joint marital property.”

Upon hearing Bai Hao’s words, Xia Zhiquiu couldn’t help but feel a strange sensation in her heart.

Even now, she still couldn’t believe that she had actually registered her marriage with this young man.

She had once been a man herself; this was simply too absurd!

Arriving at Bai Hao’s room on the second floor, the villa’s interior still felt somewhat austere and quiet.

However, for Xia Zhiquiu’s sake, he had still ‘bought’ some juice, coffee, and snacks.

“Teacher Xia, why don’t you get ready first. I’ll get you something to drink. Do you want juice, milk, or coffee?”

Without a second thought, Xia Zhiquiu casually replied,

“Coffee, please. Oh, and why exactly am I supposed to ‘get ready’?”

Hearing this, Bai Hao naturally pointed to the clothes already laid out on the bed and stated matter-of-factly,

“Why, to change into a teacher’s uniform, of course.”

Xia Zhiquiu stiffened at his words.

She turned her head to look at the clothes on the bed; Bai Hao’s words had made her realize what she hadn’t noticed before: a teacher’s uniform was laid out before her eyes.

Yet, it was clearly not a proper uniform.
