Chapter 12: Inguguo

Inguguo is a great nation on the Luosheng Continent.

Its strength is powerful.

Because the king wisely employed capable talent, Inguguo mastered major industrial technologies early.

Agriculture never fell behind, making it a model nation for global development.

The scenery of Inguguo is beautiful, with mountains and clear waters.

Located near the center of the world, summers are hot and winters are warm.

There is a rainforest in the northern region where public safety is good, with little crime.

Forestry is one major source of national income.

In ancient times, a forestry magnate named Grob McLaughlin used his wealth to rise.

But wealth breeds envy, and McLaughlin was assassinated.

Jordan Max likewise gained wealth and later became arrogant, bullying the poor and weak.

Later the government declared the rainforest national property, and no more forestry tycoons arose.

Conflicts over doctrine caused frequent battles between Inguguo and the nations Yingchaga and Kongshan.

Though Yingchaga and Kongshan often opposed each other, they cooperated closely against Inguguo.

Inguguo failed to gain advantage and eventually signed a cease-fire agreement.

The three-nation conflict has been dormant for a long time.

To this day, Inguguo has long maintained diplomatic relations with the Northern Mong Empire.

But the Northern Mong objective is the conquest of neighboring nations, especially Selas.

This action cannot yet be judged as right or wrong.

In my view, settling disputes through war is always a mistaken approach.

Resolving conflict without war is the grandeur of true great nations.

Yet Northern Mong chooses war as the solution.

I may boldly say Northern Mong seems a great power, but is not truly great.

I do not fear Northern Mong’s pursuit or execution order.

I only regret that my dying advice may never be taken.

Ah — who can predict my true thoughts!
