“Good, prepare for deployment! Attack the aftermath cleanup site. While the mobile forces are being dispatched, we will hunt down the wounded. Slaughter every single person who has lost their combat capabilities!”
Any faint trace of girlish charm shattered in an instant.
With her preparations complete, Kuonji Mashiro’s lips curled into another cruel smile.
Fight. Kill. It mattered not whether any of it was necessary.
Kuonji Mashiro, this beautiful young lady, was a girl whose appearance would certainly be considered lovely if she remained silent. Yet, her mind was immersed in a world utterly different from her outward facade: a thrill of combat and sadism.
More intense battles of life and death, more horrific bloody massacres, more violent sensory shocks.
Her numb heart felt no joy. For her, only these extreme stimuli could provide a fleeting sense of satisfaction to her shattered spirit.
After a light kiss with Nuonuo, which granted her some of Nuonuo’s telepathic abilities, Ling Xing peered into the young lady’s mind.
What she found was only madness—a self-destructive frenzy that filled Kuonji Mashiro’s tattered consciousness.
Just a brief moment of contact ignited a furious, nameless rage within Ling Xing’s small head, forcing her to cease her intrusion.
This was far from a normal person’s mental state. Such a chaotic frenzy, one that even Ling Xing found unbearable, would have long dissolved any normal person’s self-awareness into complete insanity.
Yet, Kuonji Mashiro—
“Ah… the Allied mobile forces will likely try to intercept us. But tanks that have suffered losses in an ambush won’t stop us! On the contrary, we will actively annihilate them!”
She could even maintain her rationality, calmly think through problems, seek solutions, and make logical decisions.
Her outward manifestations were merely murmuring to herself, alongside irritability and agitation—a level that suggested only minor mental distress.
It was a dichotomy so profound it seemed impossible for these traits to coexist within a single individual.
“Yes, and Ling Xing. She’s already got what she needs, so we must escalate! Darklier…”
“…”
Ling Xing showed a hint of pity before turning and closing the door.
Behind her, Kuonji Mashiro mumbled Dal’s name, pulling out her terminal.
“Darklier… Darklier… huh?”
‘What was it again?’
Kuonji Mashiro’s arrogant words abruptly ceased.
A faint, bright pink glow enveloped her eyes, steeping her beautiful golden irises in a pale rose hue.
It stirred her thoughts, destroying her consciousness.
In mere moments, her pretty face, which had always worn a cruel smile, fell into a daze of blank confusion.
The terminal, still displaying Hane’s dialing interface, slipped limply from her grasp.
“Ugh, ahhhhhh❤—-!”
Her consciousness boiled.
Her arrogant words melted into meaningless wails.
Kuonji Mashiro, her voluptuous figure tightly constrained by the form-fitting combat suit into rounded curves, seemed to forget how to stand. She collapsed, fluttering, to her knees.
Her firm, tender white curves were harshly squeezed, overflowing from the suit. Her thick, soft legs still tried to maintain a proud stance, but ultimately, they only flailed aimlessly.
Not a trace of her former arrogance remained. She was pathetically comical, like a small animal with a broken spine, struggling and thrashing.
[Debugging successful, Xing. However, this is an older model of brainwashing glasses, and they haven’t been maintained in a long time. They feel a bit unstable, so be careful.]
“It’s fine. It won’t be for long. Once this is over, I’ll release her.”
She closed the door, sealing Kuonji Mashiro’s screams within the room.
Ling Xing took a deep breath, replying to Nuonuo’s telepathic communication.
With Nuonuo’s assistance, Ling Xing now knew how to reactivate the glasses’ functions. She could use her crow familiar to have Nuonuo recalibrate the hypnotic ability.
For a young lady whose mental state was already extremely poor, with negative mental resistance, this was nothing short of a perfect, targeted attack.
But, as expected…
“I really dislike this feeling.”
The guilt was overwhelming.
Although the opponent was indeed a hopelessly evil magical girl, a monstrous villain who had committed heinous acts, these reasons could only barely persuade Ling Xing. They merely justified using such equally wicked means.
The emotions she felt wouldn’t simply vanish or become acceptable through self-persuasion.
If it weren’t for an evil magical girl like Kuonji Mashiro, Ling Xing would rather elbow everyone herself than resort to such a trick.
[If you dislike it, then don’t look.]
“No.”
The young lady’s pathetic wails gradually ceased.
All strength left her, her stamina depleted, and even her instinct to struggle dissolved into nothingness.
Her slick, small pink tongue lolled weakly from her mouth, uncontrollable drool smearing her delicate face. Her mature, tender maidenly figure, like a newborn infant, curled into a ball amidst electric tremors.
Her beautiful golden eyes were completely tinged with pale pink, staring blankly, lost in a daze, at the phone on the floor. She fixated on the name and picture of another girl noted on the screen.
Unable to think, unable to comprehend.
She couldn’t grasp why she had ultimately acted this way. No, she couldn’t even understand what she was doing at all.
She had forgotten the meaning of the words she had just spoken, let alone such complex actions.
Kuonji Mashiro, this evil magical girl driven by frenzy and arrogance, who prided herself on solving and calculating everything.
Here, at this moment, the very equipment she intended to use to frame the dark organization had interrupted her thoughts.
She, who called herself a brainwashing combatant, finally experienced the true feelings of a brainwashed combatant.
“……”
She was dull and placid, as if adrift in an endless void, unable to think, and with no need to.
Her consciousness still lingered, yet she could understand nothing and make no movements.
Her proudly voluptuous body, her innately keen strategic intelligence, her noble status from a prestigious family, her magic reserves honed to surpass those of her peers…
Everything had lost its meaning.
All that remained was a vacant puppet, at the mercy of others.
‘—At least in this regard, it feels similar to typical magical girl stories, doesn’t it? A proud young lady susceptible to hypnosis and such?’
Ling Xing let out a self-deprecating sigh and removed her combatant mask, which had obscured her face.
With the doors and windows tightly shut, the air was thick with Kuonji Mashiro’s sweet, cloying milky scent, mingled with the humid, fermented fragrance of sweat.
The overwhelming sweetness, tinged with a faint metallic odor, gave Ling Xing the illusion of struggling to breathe.
She no longer needed this, and besides.
“Remember me, Big-Busted Monster. It was I, Elite Combatant Ling Xing, who did this—if you feel humiliated, if you feel unwilling, then come seek your revenge after this is over. That is your right.”
“……”
Of course, there was no response. Kuonji Mashiro, her eyes devoid of light, didn’t even glance at Ling Xing. She merely stared blankly at the phone until its screen dimmed and extinguished with time.
“Even if you can’t remember, it doesn’t matter. I’ll remember it for you.”
Ling Xing took the Book of Hatred from her embrace.
With a gentle flick, a page turned. Her pen tip drew a line through Kuonji Mashiro’s entry, erasing the sins previously recorded against her.
Then, she turned to the first page.
On the page belonging to Ling Xing herself, she recorded a new line.
“Hmph…”
Having recorded it, she closed the book.
Ling Xing flicked her wrist and let out a long breath.
What happens later can be dealt with later. For now—
Just be a good, low-level brainwashed combatant, Kuonji Mashiro.
It’s time for the true elite combatants of the Dark Organization to put an end to all this.
