Bai Jiujiu stepped forward, instinctively wiping away the tear streaks on Tong Qiu’s face. She would do this not only for her troublesome disciples but also for the young goblins she encountered weeping on Cloudfall Mountain.

It was Li Sibao, who had been busy all day and was now carrying water back home.
Upon seeing their target, Bai Jiujiu and Tong Qiu promptly crouched down, concealing themselves.

Tong Qiu was greatly surprised, but she wasn’t unfamiliar with demons revealing their true forms; she was simply startled by Bai Jiujiu’s sudden action.
