Chapter 33 Part 2: The Master’s Table

The temperature plummeted towards freezing.

White mist escaped from the mouths and noses of everyone present.

Simple breathing turned into frosty mist.

Dark, sticky blood stains spread and froze from the window.

The floor gradually darkened with the flow of blood, spreading like a virus.

At the same time, the painting on the theater’s dome let out a crack.

The face of the woman holding a child in the painting split from the middle.

Her melancholic face turned into a mysterious smile due to the cracking lines.

The theater’s walls and the arched canopy above rapidly melted.

Like a piece of white paper burned by a cigarette butt, they curled and dissipated into the air.

Surreal things were happening.

At the same time, a long table appeared in the very center.

It was laden with fresh, plump fruit.

They were casually arranged on plates.

Grapes were placed on top of apples and other fruits.

The grains were full and plump, almost rolling off one by one, emitting the vigorous and enticing scent unique to plants.

Yu Ziyu pulled out the head seat at the front and sat down.

He tapped his finger on the table.

“Alright.”

Yu Ziyu glanced sideways at the clock and said perfunctorily.

“Our guests have arrived.

Just sit down.”

The moment his words fell, several twisted, flickering fiery figures appeared in front of the originally empty table.

One of the black shadows landed directly right behind Yu Ziyu, his arms encircling the back of his chair, affectionately resting his chin on top of his head and rubbing, then leaning down to deeply kiss the crown of his head.

Yu Ziyu didn’t even blink, as if he were used to it.

He pulled a long list from the table, densely covered with the names of those who had accepted the invitation.

“Sloth.”

Lou Chen stared intently at them.

In Lou Chen’s eyes, Pride was doing these things using Yu Ziyu’s body.

He could almost hear the heartbeat in his own eardrums.

Anger made his head ache.

The scene before him began to blur.

But he stood still, didn’t move.

His emotions reached a boiling point and suddenly stagnated, becoming extremely calm.

The fingers hanging at his side twitched slightly as he stared at Sloth.

Hearing this, Sloth paused and withdrew his movements.

He seemed to just notice Lou Chen’s existence and waved lazily at him:

“Hello.”

But before Sloth could even retract his smile, he suddenly, without warning, raised his hand as if to block something in the air.

But almost immediately, a surprised expression appeared on that handsome face.

His body flew backward.

“…You really don’t know how to share, do you?”

Sloth steadied himself and curled his lips, but the smile didn’t reach his eyes.

The culprit, Jealousy, gave him a cold look with his grayish-white eyeballs.

He pulled out a chair and sat in the seat closest to Yu Ziyu.

He stared at him without blinking, just as he had always done, his gaze glued to him, unwilling to look away for even a second.

“Master,” he said in a low voice.

“You didn’t tell me you were in his body…

No wonder I before…”

“Quiet.”

Jealousy immediately fell silent, obediently quieting down.

Although the head in his arms was still dripping blood, he behaved like a well-behaved student, looking at Yu Ziyu adoringly.

Sloth gave him a disgusted snort, then put back on a friendly smile, walked past him, pulled out the second chair, and sat down.

“Since we can just say it directly, why did you have to fight with me there?”

Gluttony had already pulled out a chair and sat down, some time ago.

He crossed his legs and smiled casually.

His hand reached for the fruit on the table.

The moment he touched them, they rapidly shriveled and shrank, losing their fresh appearance.

When Gluttony’s fingers completely picked them up, they even started plopping down disgusting eggs and maggots—if you hadn’t seen it with your own eyes, no one could have imagined this scene of rapidly draining vitality.

He clicked his tongue in annoyance and threw the grapes and bugs back onto the plate.

The bugs writhed, trying to crawl away from the plate.

Gluttony listlessly picked up a fork and directly pierced one.

Green liquid splashed onto the edge of the pristine white plate.

He raised the fork, watching the fat bug struggle desperately in mid-air.

Sloth didn’t even lift his eyes, lazily lying on the table: “Because I didn’t want you to mess up the master’s plan.”

As his words fell, a faint sound of explosion came.

A slender figure appeared from the still blazing fiery curtain.

All the black-robed people let out quick breaths, unconsciously gasping.

Because that figure was so graceful; even just a vague shadow made people uncontrollably bewitched.

The crowd began to stir, trying to move closer to the center of the stage.

And indeed it was so.

It had no fixed human form, no definite gender, yet it could discern people’s hearts.

Although different people saw different appearances, they all shared one common point—no matter how well they concealed themselves in life, it could stimulate their innermost urgent desire for s*x.

Sloth lifted his chin slightly as a greeting.

“Hello, Lust.”

The vague shadow glanced at Yu Ziyu.

The next moment, the vague lines disappeared—it turned into Yu Ziyu’s likeness.

Although there had been no indication before that Lust had already appeared in the real world, Yu Ziyu wasn’t surprised by its appearance.

Based on his original guess, as long as one boss from the Land of Desire Amusement Park appeared, then the bosses from other floors would absolutely appear too.

Because once a place was torn open, more loopholes would be exposed.

The only difference was when they would join in and try to contact Yu Ziyu.

“You’re so beautiful.”

Lust licked its lips, reverently stroking the lines of its hand and wrist, very satisfied with the new body it saw.

Several consecutive movements of touching its own skin were almost obscene.

“In the past few hours, in order to seduce a little guy, I trapped myself in an employee’s dirty body…”

Speaking of this, Lust wrinkled its nose in disgust.

“That’s really not my preference.

If it weren’t for making things more interesting.”

It had to be said, this was truly bizarre.

Especially the moment it appeared, the heretics clearly became parched.

And it freely stretched its body, as if extremely enjoying these base stares.

After all, this suited its promiscuous nature.

Gluttony rolled his eyes, put down his fork, and forcefully split the maggot in two.

It finally stopped moving after twitching: “We didn’t come here to watch you touch yourself.”

“Jealous?”

Lust smiled, deliberately biting its lower lip, making the lips engorged, looking at Gluttony seductively through Yu Ziyu’s long lashes.

“Since we all know you’ll never have a chance.”

Jealousy turned to look at them, his tone calm: “I’m still here.”

Lust glanced at him, its expression feigning shock, but its tone was contemptuous: “Oh, almost forgot the little shadow following the master around.

The cowardly mutt.”

As its words fell, the atmosphere at the table instantly became tense.

Although their bodies showed no signs of movement, their body language appearing relaxed, no one could ignore the bloody atmosphere flowing between them.

Obviously, their relationship was far from friendly.

Sloth narrowed his eyes, rested his elbow on the table, propped his cheek on his hand, and lazily scanned the faces of the several bosses.

This made their hidden plan, conducted behind Pride’s back, seem all the more unusual.

Lou Chen took in all the interactions.

Many thoughts flashed through his mind.

He coldly pieced together the information he had gathered into a complete picture—

First, the reason they appeared here was because of Pride, and only because of it.

But this also meant division.

Second, Yu Ziyu was still in Pride’s mind.

Perhaps, he just needed to find an opportunity to let Yu Ziyu wake up again.

In these few short minutes, Lou Chen had never been so clearly aware of one thing—

The reason Yu Ziyu was called the savior wasn’t that he didn’t have the strength to oppose Pride.

They hadn’t reached the worst step yet.

It was because he represented the obverse side of the coin.

Flip it over, darkness.

Flip it back, light.

Yu Ziyu was the one who could decide whether to bring disaster or end it all.

If he wanted to, he could completely do either.

Lou Chen didn’t know if Yu Ziyu was still conscious at this moment, able to see everything happening now through the body occupied by Pride.

He might be assessing, or, wavering.

Then, his mental stress must be even greater than Lou Chen could imagine.

After all, when you want to be a normal person, another force inside you keeps telling you that you’re a monster, that you should choose the other dark path, that you can become someone else—before Lou Chen appeared, he had already been resisting this temptation.

This gave him an inappropriate thought: he should have gotten to know Yu Ziyu sooner.

If it hadn’t been like this, perhaps the current situation wouldn’t have occurred.

Lou Chen had a plan.

The expression on his face became determined.

He narrowed his eyes and looked at Yu Ziyu, seated at the head.

Yu Ziyu had been observing Lou Chen’s expression with his peripheral vision.

Only when he finally found what he was looking for on his face did he tear the invitation list in half.

The tearing sound attracted the attention of all the monsters at the table.

Emotionally, he pushed his chair back.

Accompanied by the loud noise of scraping against the ground, he stood up with a gloomy expression.

He paced slowly, his fingers sliding over the backs of chairs behind the other bosses, looking down at them.

A suffocating atmosphere hovered in the air, sucking away all sound.

“You know I don’t like latecomers.”

He said, stopping in front of an empty chair.

At the same time, he tapped its back with his finger.

Then, he looked up, scanning the bosses who had arrived at the scene, and said coldly, “Looks like someone still isn’t obedient enough, right?”

Only Yu Ziyu’s voice echoed in the air.

Even the bosses sitting at the table didn’t speak, let alone the heretics uncomfortably seated in the audience…

In the darkness, hierarchy and power meant absolute obedience.

Everyone’s gaze was focused on Yu Ziyu, but no one could raise any objection to this.

“What do you want to say, Sloth?”

Yu Ziyu suddenly looked in one direction, because Sloth had tilted his head slightly, seeming to hesitate.

Being named, Sloth was silent for a moment.

“I think, Master, you might have already received his gift.

He’s on his way here.”

He said cautiously, looking up, tentatively at Yu Ziyu.

“A package…

I hope he didn’t send anything strange to you.

But he seems to really like expressing his love this way.”

Hearing this, the corner of Yu Ziyu’s mouth twitched subtly.

Although Sloth didn’t say its name, these familiar characteristics immediately brought a name to mind…

Wrath.

Realizing Yu Ziyu had a reaction to this gift, Lou Chen was stunned.

And Sloth turned his head slightly and quickly winked at him.

It was like a hint.

Strangely, it didn’t seem malicious—in fact, it could be said Sloth was helping him.

Wait a minute…

Lou Chen frowned.

Why would Sloth be friendly to him?

As if deliberately revealing something?

He didn’t remember having any interaction with him, except during the time in the Land of Desire Amusement Park.

But that wasn’t enough to make him this friendly.

He was scheming—obviously, related to Yu Ziyu, not Pride.

Sloth looked away, continuing to lower his head, docile and obedient.

“Continue,” Yu Ziyu said.

“He brought you another gift.”

Sloth said.

“I don’t know.

I mentioned he would come because he actively found me.”

Yu Ziyu gave him a faint glance.

Sloth immediately shut his mouth and sat up straight.

“I think that annoying guy is coming.”

Gluttony wrinkled his nose.

With his uninterested words, the next moment, a black spot appeared in the center of the stage.

It was as if a pool of sewage had suddenly wet the smooth floor, making a gurgling sound.

Then, an excessively pale hand reached out from the black pool.

Like a climber climbing upwards, the lines on his arm were taut.

With a slight exertion, a complete, elegant figure emerged from the pool.

Like a wet water ghost crawling out of a swift current.

Completely devoid of the breath of the living.

He stood up straight.

His figure was thin to the point of paleness, giving a sickly feeling with no beauty whatsoever.

Especially the gloomy and irritated expression on his face, like a fixed mask hanging on his delicate features.

Black liquid dripped down his clothes onto the floor, quickly gathering into a scarf.

He bent down and picked up the scarf.

Everyone could see that when he shook the fabric, dead pigeons and butterflies with torn wings fell out as if by magic, like a rain of beads tumbling to the floor, creating an annoying noise.

A still-alive moth, panickedly trying to escape, fluttered on the floor.

The young man didn’t even have the patience to let it try again; he simply raised his foot and forcefully crushed it.

Stepping on the juice-covered remnants of the moth, he walked over and sat in one of the two remaining chairs.

“Sorry, Master.”

Wrath said lifelessly.

His chest heaved from excessively violent emotion.

A faint pinkness appeared on his pale cheeks due to anger.

“I just, I just needed to vent before coming to see you.

Because I didn’t want to, to make you angry.

No, make us angry.

Sorry, I can’t control myself.

I mean…”

“Look, we have another stutterer among us.”

Lust smiled, tapping its fingers on the table, snorting contemptuously.

Wrath gave it a gloomy look, suddenly grabbing the fork from the table.

His knuckles turned white from excessive force.

“Please, everyone, calm down.”

Sloth sat up straight and sighed.

“You don’t want to embarrass yourselves in front of the master, do you?”

Wrath was stunned and stole a glance at Yu Ziyu.

He still maintained an expressionless face.

He released the fork and knife, let out a deep breath, letting them fall onto the gleaming plate.

Then he silently lowered his head, calming his anger.

“Speaking of gifts, I have one for you too, Master.”

Lust eagerly crawled up from its chair, pushed aside the fruit on the table, and sat on the table.

It meaningfully blinked at Yu Ziyu, then glanced at a certain part of the theater, saying casually, “I know what you want to do… probably?”

Yu Ziyu just narrowed his eyes, unmoved.

“So, it should be live streaming right now.”

Lust thought for a moment, smiled slightly, and said slowly.

“No, that person named Xu He is very good at this.

So… it must be live streaming now.

No matter which station, they can convey the master’s thoughts immediately.

That’s good…

I hope you like this gift, Master.”

Lust looked at Yu Ziyu, eagerly widening its eyes.
