“──Who is she this time, you bastard!!”

“H-Hiiik…! Keck! Cough!?”

Her crimson eyes, sharp and gleaming like embedded rubies, were terrifying.

Slitted pupils, reminiscent of a reptile’s, dilated, and the chain bracelet adorning her wrist jingled, reflecting her turbulent emotions.

“I warned you, didn’t I? Not to wag your tail around like a dog.”

“Keheuk…! W-Wait, just listen to m-me…!”

“And yet, you dare bring the scent of another woman on you while I’m watching?”

“Keuhk…!”

His breath caught in his throat, his consciousness fading. Her grip was crushing, as if his bones were about to shatter.

Gritting his teeth, the boy fought to stay conscious.

“Uuugh…!! D-Damn it…! Helping an old lady cross the street, is that such a crime…?!”

“Regardless, she was much younger than me!! So, that means there was a chance for you two to hit it off, doesn’t it!?”
