Chapter 11: A Morning with My AI Assistant

“Master, it’s morning already; time to get up~”

Lidoa’s sweet voice chimed in Cheng Lan’s ear.

“No rush… Just ten more minutes, please…” Cheng Lan mumbled, rolling over and burying his face in his pillow.

“That’s not true!” Lidoa, unusually, voiced her objection. “Keeping my master’s home spotless is my foremost duty!”

“Whatever makes you happy.”

“Oh, right, Master,” Lidoa suddenly recalled something, looking up at Cheng Lan. “Why is your kitchen completely empty? I wanted to show off my culinary skills!”

“With all the studying I have to do, where would I find the time to cook? Alright, I’m getting ready to leave now.” Cheng Lan spread his hands helplessly.

“Master, may I accompany you to school?” The girl blinked.

“Hmm.” Cheng Lan pondered for a moment. “Do you possess an optical camouflage module?”

“I do!” Lidoa nodded.

“Fine, then.” Cheng Lan agreed to her request.

“Remember, don’t let anyone else discover your presence. Do not wander off without my permission, and absolutely do not speak. You may only open your mouth when I address you. Is that clear?”

“Clear!” The girl replied, visibly delighted.

“Oh, and,” Cheng Lan casually glanced down at Lidoa’s pristine white feet, then took out a pair of brown leather shoes from the shoe cabinet. “It’s dirty outside, so you should wear shoes when we go out. And remember to wear socks.”

“Master, I actually have a self-cleaning function, so I’m not afraid of getting dirty~”

“Put them on!”

“My dear boy, you have such a hearty appetite today!”

The breakfast shop auntie chuckled as she placed two steamers of freshly made small steamed buns and two cups of hot soy milk on the table in front of Cheng Lan.

“By my standards, this small steamed bun tastes delicious.” As he spoke, Cheng Lan also picked up a bun, blew on it a few times before putting it in his mouth, and swallowed it whole.

“By Master’s standards, it’s delicious…” Lidoa picked up another small steamed bun, put it in her mouth, savored it carefully, then nodded. “I’ve noted it!”

“Learn slowly, remember slowly. Anyway, I have an income now, so later I’ll take you out to indulge in the finest delicacies.”
