Chapter 11: Former job.

Hi Dear Reader, Admin is Here 👋Great news! 🎉 Our Pies Shop is now available. You can easily purchase Gems 💎 through it — please use it to support the site and unlock chapters!

I had forgotten about it because I was caught up in events that I would probably only experience a few times in my life these past few days, but this is a game world-like place.

“Ugh…”

Considering the amount of experience I’ve had to level up so far, there have been a lot of things happening…

I have a whopping 6 additional stat points that I haven’t spent so far!

1 point per level up, plus a bonus of 3 points every 10 levels, so it seems like a decent distribution for a zombie.

Rather, my attention is drawn to the phrase ‘Special Zombie Job Change Available’, which is a new feature.

“Ugh…” (Special Zombie Job Change)

[Current State
Common Infected (Shambler)
-Unlock Condition: Infected Dead

A human infected with the zombie virus, generally has lower physical abilities than when they were human, but

It boasts the largest number of individuals. (Approximately 99% of all zombies)]

“Hmm… it seems surprisingly specific for a game world.”

Rather, seeing those names and abilities reminds me of some zombie games. I guess it’s just my imagination.

What should I say… Is it a setting where the zombie virus evolves and mutates like in a certain Umbrella game?

Honestly, I’m a zombie now, but I don’t really want to become anything more than a mutated human form here.

For example, Charger, that’s a muscle-bound character just by looking at it. If you look at the higher unlockable entities, it’s like a mascot from a certain game, lifting cars and throwing them….

By that point, it seems like it would have gone far beyond the realm of humans.

Boomer, true to the name that matches the ability, has skills that make me want to vomit just by imagining them.

The sight of spewing vomit while making a retching noise is… no, I don’t think this is it.

Hunter, compared to the previous two species, is at least decent. But why do I have an ominous feeling?

It’s like crawling on walls and ceilings on all fours and licking its tongue… For now, let’s put this on hold too.

Screamer, compared to the previous guys, seems to be a bit of an intelligence character?

Looking at the required unlock conditions and higher entities, there doesn’t seem to be a big change in appearance.

Above all, the most important thing is that I haven’t even achieved the unlock conditions for the other species except for this guy. (So I’m glad)

Seeing that it requires very high physical stats such as STR, CON, and DEX, it means that the basic stats themselves must be somewhat acceptable before becoming a zombie.

‘Glance’

A blood-stained zombie girl reflected in the mirror,

Hmm, that’s understandable.

Looking at the ??? stat of that bug-like INT in the first place, the species that can be selected now,

The thing that can preserve my last human pride? is…

Haa… I want to drink tonight…

[Evolution into a Special Zombie has begun.]

Compared to the fact that the status window alert even rang, there was no big difference in appearance than I thought.

Just that my throat is a little itchy compared to before?

If I had chosen a zombie like Charger or Boomer… hmm…

Well, now that I’ve even job changed to a special zombie, let’s check out the new skills.

First, use the aggro skill, which is the representative skill of a zombie called ‘Screamer’…

“Ah… Kyaaaaaaa!!!”

Huh?..

A scream-like sound that would make my ears hurt, let alone the surroundings, came out of my throat.

“Ggrrr….”

“Ugh….”

“Grrr….”

And I can see the zombies scattered here and there starting to approach me one by one.

“Ggrrr….”

“Grrr… hnnn”

“Grrr….”

In an instant, a situation was created where most of the nearby zombies were gathered and surrounded me.

Certainly, it seems good for summoning zombies to use as meat shields in urgent situations.

Then next is lure.

“Ggrrr…” (Lure)

“Ggh?”

“Krr?..”

I can hear a few of the zombies gathered around me reacting to me.

“Ggrrr….”

“Krr…..”

Just in case, I moved my feet and moved to another place, and among the horde of zombies that had gathered due to the aggro skill, about 4 of them started walking after me.

“Ggrr…..”

“Khee….”

The 4 zombies continue to follow even after I’ve moved far away, I roughly understand what kind of skill it is.

The activation probability is significantly lower compared to aggro, but considering the aggro that will attract not only zombies but also survivors, it may be a better skill depending on the situation.

“Ugh…” (What do I do now…)

I’m done cleaning up this godd*mn gang, now what should I do…

“Ggrrr….”

“Ugh…” (Huh?)

One of the zombies that followed me has an M16 rifle on his shoulder.

Is he a zombie from this gang?… Wait, that look is…

“Ggrrr….”

I saw him when I was briefly locked up in the basement prison room, he left food behind…

“Ah…”

Now that I think about it, a few people who aren’t related to this gang are probably still there…

Well… They’re not bad people and they’re victims, so I don’t think there’s any need to kill them.

I have nothing to do, and this place is ruined anyway, so it would be okay to help a little bit.

I turn my steps back towards the basement because I have a goal.

‘Krr….’

“Grrr”

Ah, but how should I explain my relationship with these guys?
