Elumeng tucked her long hair behind her ear, lifted her long legs off Su Yuewei’s, and released her wrists. But she didn’t get off—instead, she maintained this delicate pose.

“Uh, before serious talk, can’t we switch to a normal position? Sister Elumeng, aren’t you tired?”

“No, what else?”

Su Yuewei’s suggestion was shot down.

This was Elumeng’s protest against Su Yuewei seeking other big sisters. She wanted all of Su Yuewei’s view—like now.

Hands on either side of Su Yuewei’s head, forcing her gaze only on herself.

Elumeng brushed back fallen hair, revealing a serious, earnest face.

More than worrying about debt splitting, she feared Hug-Save Society snatching Su Yuewei.

Su Yuewei perked up, listening intently.

“Remember these?”

Elumeng pulled out the familiar syringes, explaining bloodthorn scent to the girl beneath.

Seeing Su Yuewei’s confusion, she remembered—she knew nothing of this world, probably didn’t understand.

Why a hug-obsessed group was dangerous, why target a thirty-thousand-debt beauty…

Thinking of explaining basics from scratch, exhaustion hit.

“I’m tired—stop here. Just know Hug-Save Society is dangerous. Stay away. An org leaving bloodthorn on potions can’t be good.”

Finally, Elumeng rolled off, lying beside Su Yuewei, eyes closed, soon asleep.

But Su Yuewei wasn’t sleepy. First night in this world—no modern phone.

Normally, she’d scroll before sleep.

Now, no phone—just resting eyes.

Unadjusted to low light, tossing and turning—no sleep!

So she turned to admire Elumeng’s sleeping face.

“Her halo dims when she sleeps!”

Su Yuewei sat up, curiously rubbing the faint halo—not just off, no substance! Like hidden mode~

She lay back on the soft bed, watching the sleeping girl.

Elumeng’s lashes fluttered, wings wrapped like a hug, enclosing her curled-up form—like a child.

“Hoo… Su Yuewei… no other big sisters! You’re mine…”

“Angels talk in their sleep… Good night, Elumeng.”

Su Yuewei smiled gently, watching until exhaustion closed her eyes, deep sleep.

Next morning, sun just rising, light streamed through the window onto the bed.

But only Elumeng remained—Su Yuewei gone.

“Ah~”

Sleepy Elumeng sat up, stretching, squinting around.

Best sleep ever? Yesterday’s chaos exhausted her; she slept early. Su Yuewei’s sleeping posture didn’t wake her.

Best since leaving angelic realm for the academy?

“Halo glow, wings fold.”

Awake, her halo recharged to normal brightness. Wings tucked behind.

“Today, investigate bloodthorn and Hug-Save Society. Simple clothes for mobility.”

She reached out—wardrobe opened. A plain white dress flew out, dressing her. A cleaning spell handled face and teeth.

Baths could be cleaning spells too.

But Elumeng preferred manual—angelic enjoyment, especially tub-soaking.

Every feather relaxed—bliss.

“Where’s Little Yuewei? Woke up, she’s gone?”

Dressed, Elumeng left the bedroom—no Su Yuewei in bedroom or living room.

Thought she’d study world knowledge in the living room! Not there—must be the garden.

Heading out, she spotted hot egg omelet rice on the table—enticing aroma, refined, generous portion.

Plus Su Yuewei’s early note.

“Sister Elumeng, when you see this omelet, I’ve found work~ Surprise! Saw you still asleep, didn’t disturb~”

Reading, Elumeng’s heart warmed. She pulled a chair, sat, scooped with the prepared spoon, savoring alone.

She stored the yellow sticky note in her halo.

“Little Yuewei has a thoughtful side…”

Su Yuewei left the floating island before dawn on her broom, hunting part-time spots.

Too early—most shops closed. At seven, the city was still empty.

About to head back, she spotted Vampire Maid Bar open.

Only 24-hour shop in the academy city. Only delivery last night, only open now.

Su Yuewei pushed the glass door—bells jingled.

“Honored master! Hello, I’m Yuejiu, owner of Vampire Maid Bar. Pleasure to serve you.”

Behind the counter: silver-haired, red-eyed beauty in maid outfit—Yuejiu, the boss.

Seeing Su Yuewei, she greeted politely, curtsying.

“Hello, Miss Yuejiu! Please hire me! I can do anything!”
