Chapter 14: Cousin

At the school gate, Natasha’s slender fingers touched the corner of her lips. She smiled brightly at Olivianne while waving

her arms enthusiastically in farewell. Her steps were light and joyful, almost like dancing, as if she didn’t really want to

part. After several steps, she finally turned around smoothly and left behind a stunned Olivianne, who just stared blankly

at her friend’s flowing golden hair and graceful figure—watching the lively and radiant back of this energetic blonde girl as

she walked away.

“Bye… Bye-bye~”

The words slipped out of Olivianne’s mouth before she even realized it. Her heart was filled with a sudden and mysterious

warmth. Wow, this is really nice. Beautiful girls really are the most wonderful thing in the world. And to think someone

this cute is actually her best friend—ah, that’s amazing!

[Chat messages in stream:]

【Natasha-chan’s goodbye feels just like Nijika from Bocchi the Rock!】

【The Shimokitazawa Archangel’s Isekai version!】

【So full of energy and youth, what a lovely scene~】

【No need to envy her, streamer—you’re a beautiful girl too!】

【But your femininity level is still lacking, better learn from Natasha.】

“Shut up already… this stream chat is so annoying. And I’m not the streamer, okay?! Seriously—how do you even turn this

thing off?!”

Now that she was alone at the gate with no one around to overhear her, Olivianne couldn’t help but mutter under her

breath. Of course, the audience in the livestream—who were just here for the fun—were more than happy to argue back.

【Too bad, you can’t turn this stream off~】

【Streamer thinks she has feminine charm? Put on the maid outfit and prove it~】

【You always have that deadpan look like some washed-up old man—your femininity gets no points from

me!】

【Keep mouthing off and we’ll vote for your social death next time, you know what that means~】

【I wanna see the streamer embarrassed beyond saving!】

“Oh come on! You guys… how are you even allowed to threaten people like this?! This is cheating!”

Seeing those last few messages made Olivianne panic a little. Her pupils twitched as she stared at the floating text and

stammered out a weak protest. The barrage of messages only got livelier, clearly amused by her flustered reaction.

【So cute! That face—Olivianne’s totally adorable right now~】

【Big boost in femininity, she’s almost fully “fallen”!】

【Still a ways to go though~ But she’s so cute, hehe. My little loli senpai~】

【Love seeing the streamer get bullied and not be able to fight back~】

【Why do all these chatters sound like elementary school boys picking on the girl they like? Sad~】

that last comment actually sounded kinda accurate, cough cough…

Forget it. Not reading this nonsense anymore. Olivianne figured it wasn’t worth trying to go against these weirdos in the

chat. Better to focus on her own situation. If she kept interacting with them, she felt like she’d be mentally corrupted

sooner or later.

As the sun dipped below the horizon, the day ended at the Imperial Capital’s Magic Academy. There were no night classes

today, which was nice. Some students lived in dorms, but people like Olivianne and Natasha were day students.

After all… to even get into this place—an elite training school that was the largest in the empire—most students came

from wealthy or noble families.

Even someone like Olivianne, who came from a relatively modest background, still had a family with a bit of business.

While not socially powerful or politically connected, at least they could afford the sky-high tuition.

Natasha, on the other hand, came from an actual aristocratic family. Her father was a real duke—basically the undisputed

ruler of his fiefdom. Totally overwhelming.

Anyway, Olivianne was thinking about all this just to answer one basic question: School’s out… so shouldn’t she be

heading home? But… did she have a home?

Still standing at the gate, the blue-haired loli rubbed her chin.

So here’s the issue…

Where is my house?

When Natasha said goodbye, she happily reminded Olivianne to be careful on the way home. But Natasha-chan—didn’t

you forget to tell me which way that was?!

I’m doomed. Judging by how she said it, what if I live somewhere super far and sketchy in the middle of nowhere?

Not impossible… Land in the imperial capital is expensive. Her family only runs a business, so it’s totally likely they live

out in the suburbs because they couldn’t afford a place in the city. Ughhh.

Crap… why did I skip over the “where do I live” part when I was going through the original memories?! Is my sense of

direction that bad?!

Just as Olivianne squatted down, hugging her head and shivering while trying to dig through her memories for the route

home, a small hand suddenly poked her in the waist from behind.

Startled, she quickly turned around and found a grumpy little boy glaring at her. He had a few tufts of brown hair sticking

up and stood there with his hands on his hips like a bossy little brat, staring at her with a not-so-friendly expression.

After thinking for a moment, the blue-haired girl blurted out—

“George?”

Yep. That annoying little brat who gave her an instant headache was none other than George Lloros—her cousin. Her

uncle’s son. Also the only male heir in the Lloros family right now.

It wasn’t surprising to see him here. The Magic Academy had multiple divisions. Olivianne was a second-year in the

middle school section, while George was in the preparatory class—basically magic preschool. And this was when his

classes also let out.

“Hey! Stupid big sis, what are you doing standing around like this? If you don’t hurry home and get to work, my mom’s

gonna yell at you!”

As soon as George said that, Olivianne’s mind flashed with the image of his mother—her aunt. That middle-aged woman

with the brown afro, plump as a pig—Venos.

And internally, she swore: Damn it!

She remembered now. She remembered everything. Her home life was a total mess too. Crap!

Olivianne slowly stood up and gave George a cold look. Then she reached out, grabbed the brat’s head, and pushed it

down hard.

“You little punk! Who taught you to talk to your cousin like that?! Hurry up and lead the way! And what’s this about

making me work?! Just wait till we get home—you’ll see how I deal with you!”

“You jerk!” George squatted down, trying to resist her grip, looking up at Olivianne in disbelief. He pointed a finger at her

face and muttered furiously:

“You… you dare bully me?! Waaah—just wait till I tell my mom! You’re dead! Ow! Stop pulling my hair! You evil witch!

I’m telling my mom on you—stop!”

“Enough whining! Lead the way!”

Still holding onto his hair, Olivianne gave her little cousin a push from behind.

Navigation system activated. Now running: “Little Brat Cousin Edition”~
