“Why isn’t the competition continuing?”
“I heard that after Gudou Toutian confessed his feelings to the Dragon Princess, Gudou Ritien cried and ran off. They haven’t found him yet.”
“Seriously, I thought we were going to witness an earth-shattering battle. What’s with this drama?”
“How melodramatic! The Dragon Princess is so pitiable; I even saw her cough up blood.”
“What is Gudou Toutian even doing? It’s so strange.”
“He’s always been an eccentric. Just ignore him. I don’t think there’s anything left to see today. Let’s all head home and find our own mothers!”
The surrounding crowd buzzed with chatter.
Ahoge Dragon, pulling Mao Yuxia along, found it incredibly difficult to navigate through the throng.
Nevertheless, the two of them eventually managed to push their way out.
“Little Ahoge, are you truly going to pull out the sword? It’s said that this sword was sealed by the third generation head of the Gudou family using immense magical power. So many years have passed, yet no one has ever managed to draw it.”
Mao Yuxia had assumed Ahoge Dragon was unaware of these facts, which was why she intended to try pulling the sword.
“That’s only because this sword hasn’t met *us* yet! I’ll tell you later! If the two of us pull it together, we’ll definitely be able to draw the sword!”
Ahoge Dragon remained unfazed, for her [Analytical Dragon Eyes] had already revealed the sword’s secrets.
The Gudou Dragon Sword, like Yao Yueli’s Flashing Thunder Dragon Sword, was a Dragon Artifact.
It was one of only three Dragon Artifacts in the entire country.
Her dragon eyes had discerned that this solitary sword required two or more individuals to simultaneously draw it from its sealed altar.
Powerful swordsmen, however, always roamed the world alone.
As for why the Gudou family’s third head had chosen to seal the sword in such a manner, that remained an unresolved mystery.
Regardless, Ahoge Dragon now knew how to draw the sword, and acquiring it would be an immense gain, she felt.
Ultimately, Mao Yuxia could not deter Ahoge Dragon and could only accompany her to the altar.
She figured that if Ahoge Dragon made a mistake, she could at least pull her back.
‘As for drawing the sword?’
‘It was merely a thought; a Dragon Artifact was priceless, so how could it be drawn so easily?’
‘Hadn’t the Gudou family all but given up? Otherwise, they wouldn’t allow just anyone to attempt drawing it.’
“Eh, eh, eh! Just pulling it out like this feels a bit dull. Let’s make a bet with that toad!”
After Ahoge Dragon ascended the altar, her thoughts suddenly turned to Yue Guangyao, the very person who had swindled her out of five hundred thousand magic stones.
This time, Ahoge Dragon decided she needed to thoroughly fleece him to vent her frustration!
“Ahoge Dragon, what are you trying to do now! Stop causing trouble!”
Upon hearing this, Mao Yuxia was so frightened her soul nearly fled her body.
This little Ahoge Dragon, though small, was constantly stirring up trouble!
And she always picked fights with the prodigies of great aristocratic families, or even the kingdom’s Crown Prince!
“What do you mean, ‘causing trouble’! I’m making money! Just watch, this time I’ll definitely earn a million magic stones!”
Ahoge Dragon was brimming with confidence.
Then, from beneath her skirt, she pulled out the Moonwheel Flying Dagger and held it high.
Releasing her magic, the Moonwheel Flying Dagger instantly filled with power, emitting a dazzling silver light.
Even in broad daylight, it shone brilliantly, immediately drawing everyone’s gaze!
Seeing that Yue Guangyao was also looking their way, Ahoge Dragon waved her hand and shouted:
“Hey! You toad! You fat pig! Get over here! Do you dare to bet with me again!”
“What is this stupid Ahoge Dragon up to now?”
Yao Yueli furrowed her brows, hadn’t she told Ahoge Dragon to behave herself once they arrived?
“That… stinking lizard! This Crown Prince will strip… her hide today!”
Crown Prince Yue Guangyao was so enraged he gnashed his teeth, furious that she dared to insult him in front of so many people!
“Your Royal Highness, please calm your anger. Leave this matter to your humble servant. I assure you, I will resolve this for Your Highness.”
Qian Zhisen saw that Yue Guangyao was about to order Ahoge Dragon’s arrest.
He quickly stepped forward to intervene, for if Yue Guangyao followed through, wouldn’t that be telling all the common folk in the city that *he* was the one who had been insulted?
“You go? Can you bring her head to this Crown Prince! If you fail to bring her head, then use your own to atone for it!”
The Crown Prince was truly in a fit of rage; this time, he was serious.
“Your humble servant…”
Qian Zhisen trembled with fear.
‘This…’
“Are you two going to talk or not! Just bet on whether I can pull out this sword! Hurry up! Since when did two grown men start dawdling like little girls!”
While Qian Zhisen was still hesitating, Ahoge Dragon’s irritating voice rang out once more.
Hearing Ahoge Dragon declare her intention to draw the sword, his eyes darted around.
He quickly bowed to Yue Guangyao and vowed:
“Your Royal Highness, your humble servant will certainly bring you her head!”
“Good! Then this Crown Prince shall await your good news right here.”
Yue Guangyao clutched his throbbing head, wondering why there were so many issues today.
First, Gudou Toutian had messed with his sister, then Gudou Ritien had flaked on the competition.
And now this disgusting, stinking lizard!
‘So weary.’
“Why are you the only one here? Isn’t that toad coming down too?”
Ahoge Dragon always felt that without Yue Guangyao present, much of the fun would be lost.
“His Royal Highness is indisposed and should not descend. You can discuss the bet directly with me.”
“Since you intend to draw this sword, you must be quite confident, I presume. Do you dare to wager your own life on it?”
Qian Zhisen spoke a torrent of words, getting straight to the point, for he truly loathed conversing at length with this foul-mouthed individual.
“Hahaha! It seems you, big fat pig, want to play for high stakes!”
“In that case, I want two million magic stones this time!”
Ahoge Dragon, naturally, was brimming with confidence.
Her lips curled into a smirk as she named an exorbitant price.
“Two million… that’s too much… This time, I am merely betting with you personally…”
With such a vast sum involved, Qian Zhisen dared not make a decision unilaterally.
“Don’t even think about tricking me again! Last time, you swindled fifty thousand magic stones from me; don’t assume I’m stupid!”
“Two million, plus the previous five hundred thousand—not a single coin less! Bring it over, or forget about betting with me!”
Ahoge Dragon bared her fierce fangs.
“Are you mad with greed? Go back at once! If you cause any more trouble, you won’t get any pocket money in the future!”
Yao Yueli had also overheard Ahoge Dragon and Qian Zhisen’s exchange and was equally furious.
In her anger, she landed a sharp punch on Ahoge Dragon’s head.
“Ow… that really hurts!”
Ahoge Dragon clutched her head, her face etched with displeasure.
‘She worked so hard to earn money for Yao Yueli, and this was how she was repaid?’
“You still know how to feel pain? If you lose, I’ll catch you, tie you up, and use a small whip to leave mark after mark on your body. Scream all you want; it won’t do any good!”
Seeing Ahoge Dragon so unrepentant, Yao Yueli glared at her, trying to intimidate her.
“Hmph… I won’t lose!”
Ahoge Dragon pouted her little lips in indignation, feeling wronged that despite their close relationship, Yao Yueli still didn’t trust her.
Then, she hugged Yao Yueli’s leg, tilting her small head up to whisper:
“Big Sister, don’t worry. I’ve already confirmed it with my [Analytical Dragon Eyes]; I can definitely pull it out!”
