Chapter 20: Don’t Bully a Poor Young Woman!

“Well, Olivianne? Have you made up your mind now? Are you going to marry him or not?”

Venos lightly flicked her black velvet folding fan and smirked coldly at Olivianne. Her expression was enough to send

chills down anyone’s spine. This—this was the true meaning of a venomous woman. Who knew what benefit this fat snake

was hoping to get from arranging such a thing? Besides ruining Olivianne’s future, what else could she possibly gain?

If it were just for her own selfish gain, that would be bad enough. But if her only goal was simply to destroy Olivianne’s

future… that was truly terrifying. After all, before today, Olivianne had always been bullied by this fat woman one-sidedly.

Well, it made sense. Once Olivianne graduated and became independent with a bright future, someone like Venos—who

clearly knew she had mistreated her—would definitely be afraid of future payback. So she wanted to take Olivianne down

before that could happen—make sure she could never rise again.

If Olivianne were still her old self, she’d probably have no choice but to accept her fate in this medieval world—just

another noble girl being sacrificed in a family marriage alliance.

But now? Not only was the girl fully aware of what was going on, but she also had the confidence to resist. And more

importantly…

Who the hell wants to get married?!

And to some old man, no less…

Olivianne still stood by what she’d said before: If you want to marry someone, go marry him yourself. Don’t drag me

into it.

“Not marrying! Hah, let me say this again—this contract wasn’t signed by me. Aunt, did you ever ask for

my opinion? I never said I wanted to get married, did I? You made this mess, why should I be the one to

clean it up?”

Olivianne’s voice was firm. Hearing this, Venos just sneered again and replied:

“Oh my, since when does a noble lady choose her own man to marry? Isn’t that what the elders are for?

Or are you saying you don’t recognize me as your aunt anymore? Hah, kids these days, no gratitude at

all~ I raised you and your mother all these years, and now you don’t even respect me enough to let me

make decisions for you? Truly… an ungrateful little wolf~”

“Ungrateful wolf?!”

Olivianne couldn’t hold back anymore. She suddenly stood up and pointed her finger straight at Venos’s nose. Her

mother, Fufu, quickly tried to stop her, and even Venos herself was startled, backing away slightly. But after a moment,

realizing she couldn’t lose face as the elder, she forced herself to puff out her bulky chest and shouted:

“What, little wolf? Are you rebelling now?!”

“Heh, so what if I point at you? You seriously have the nerve to call us ungrateful? Let me ask you this—

where did Uncle get the money to start his business? Wasn’t it from my father? And when he was alive,

who helped his business grow so big? Wasn’t it my mother’s support? And you? After Uncle died, you

took the money that my parents and my uncle worked so hard to save and used it to treat us like trash.

You boss us around like slaves! I’m telling you right now—I’ve never owed you anything. So where’s this

‘gratitude’ supposed to come from? All I feel toward you is hatred!”

The blue-haired little girl’s rant was fiery and full of reason. Since this fat woman already crossed the line by trying to ruin

her future, there was no need to keep pretending. Across from her, Venos’s eyes turned sharp and cold as she stared hard

at Olivianne. After a while, she snorted and said:

“So, you’re really going to turn against me, your aunt? Hah, and here I thought your uncle told me before

he died to raise you no matter what. Do we really have to take it this far?”

“Whether it goes that far depends on how you act, doesn’t it? If you hadn’t been scheming all these years,

I would’ve focused on making money for the family. And let me make something clear—if you end up

running this house into the ground one day, I’ll still take care of that brat George, because he’s my

uncle’s son. So stop pretending like you’re the only one being loyal to Uncle’s memory!”

“Enough!”

Venos frowned deeply and cut her off mid-sentence. Her face showed signs of irritation as she waved her hand

impatiently and said:

“Before next Sunday, pack your things. Take your little vixen of a mother and get out. Just seeing the two

of you pisses me off…”

“Well, isn’t that funny. I’ve had enough of looking at you too! But, Aunt Venos—let’s be clear. The second

floor was left to me and my mom by Uncle. You don’t have the right to kick us out.”

Olivianne tilted her head slightly, but instead of being angered, Venos suddenly burst out laughing coldly. After a while,

she nodded and replied:

“That’s fine. That doesn’t matter. Little brat, do you really think just because you didn’t sign the

contract, you’re off the hook? Let me tell you—that noble old man wants you, specifically. And now he

has proof. You think you can just say no and that’s it? If you refuse, he’ll send people after you. They’ll tie

you up and drag you back. Even if you run, you won’t escape a noble’s reach. He’ll chase you to the ends

of the earth!”

Olivianne’s face darkened immediately. Seeing this reaction, Venos doubled down:

“Unless you cough up the compensation, you’re definitely marrying that noble geezer. If you don’t, your

mom might get dragged down too. Hah—what now? You think you can earn that kind of money in one

week? If you can, then fine. I won’t just stop kicking you out—when you come back home, I’ll have eight

sedan-bearers carry you through the door! Go on, run along and become someone’s s*ave-wife already!”

As Venos spoke, she cast another mocking glance at Olivianne. But unexpectedly, Olivianne didn’t show the despair or

fear she was hoping for. Instead, the girl seemed to think for a moment, then smirked coldly back at her. After hearing the

last part of Venos’s rant, she even nodded calmly and said:

“And what if I can earn it? Hah, let’s be clear—I won’t just earn fifteen thousand. When I’m rich and

powerful, I hope you’re still laughing. Because by then… your ending might not be so pretty. Don’t say I

didn’t give face to my uncle’s widow.”

” Big talk…”

Venos wasn’t convinced. Looking at the confident girl in front of her, she just thought this was another naive bluff from a

kid. Earn money? Hah—with what?

Not to mention the little girl, even her mother—who could charm any businessman into offering her the best deals—

wouldn’t be able to make that much in just a week without solid capital.

What, did Olivianne think she was stupid enough to fall for that?

But Olivianne couldn’t be bothered with Venos anymore. She was focused on digging herself out of the trap the fat woman

set. After that, it’d be time for payback.

So the blue-haired girl grabbed her mother Fufu’s hand and said:

“Mom, let’s go back to our room. Starting today, we don’t need to work anymore.”

“Wait, sweetheart, calm down, just wait a moment—”

The beautiful blue-haired woman was pulled upstairs by her daughter just like that…
