Chapter 20: Fujino’s Wild Guess Shocks All, Escorting Bro and Sis Sparks Misunderstanding

The rain cleared.

The sun, like a nurturing mother, scattered light generously across the earth.

Su Buyu and the others hurried back to the classroom, finding it in chaos.

Water stains coated the floor, slick and sticky, glinting under pale light.

The hypnotized classmates lay sprawled, clothes soaked, expressions dreamy.

As if everything was a blissful spring dream, enchanting and inescapable.

“That strong?”

Su Buyu sniffed, catching a faint honeysuckle scent, frowning at the Super Perception Potion’s power.

He thought skin application was intense enough.

But vaporized in the air, its effect was undiminished?

He approached Renyu Saiki, who lay collapsed, face twisted, overwhelmed by a sensory storm ravaging her fragile mind.

Eyes rolled back, tongue lolling, chest bared, she fainted on the floor, her black stockings stained with unknown liquid.

…Uh.

Not what he was thinking, right?

Su Buyu’s lips drooped, brows furrowing, stepping back.

But Officer Ni waved off his fear.

“Hey, my brother! No need to be scared! I’ll check this out!”

“Wait, hold up…”

Su Buyu tried to stop him.

But Officer Ni puffed out his chest, striding to Renyu Saiki, crouching, dipping his finger in the liquid below her knees.

He sniffed it, then lightly tasted it with his tongue.

“Oh~”

“Sh*t!!!”

“…Real sh*t, or…?”

Su Buyu asked, hesitant.

But Officer Ni’s yelp gave him the answer.

“Yo, my homie! Motherf*cker, this b*tch plays dirty! Lucky it’s just piss!”

“Oh, just piss? That’s fine then.”

Su Buyu wiped rain from his forehead, forcing a laugh.

But Officer Ni, gagging, stuck out his tongue and bolted for the hallway.

“Hey, bro! Not funny!”

Toilet flushes and gargling echoed from the bathroom.

Su Buyu couldn’t hold back a laugh.

The pain made standing tough, so he leaned on Shizuku Sakurai’s shoulder.

The doctor finished her call.

She returned, eyeing the woman on the floor, her gaze lingering on the broken fingers.

Joints twisted backward, skin purpled, likely severe soft tissue damage.

Not self-inflicted.

Could it be…

The doctor glanced at Shizuku Sakurai and Su Buyu.

Catching her look, Su Buyu opened his mouth to explain, but Shizuku Sakurai gripped his shoulder, covered his mouth, and spoke firmly.

“I caused the harm…”

Before she finished, the doctor raised a hand, cutting her off.

“Yeah, yeah, I get it. She broke her own fingers. Case closed. You two fell from a building and walked it off, so I can believe she did this to herself. Go find a quiet spot to rest and recover.”

The doctor pulled out her sleek drill, heading for the bathroom.

“Uh, Doc, where you going…? To let off steam! Overtime’s killing me. You two, rest somewhere. Don’t get involved.”

She stormed off, irritated.

Buzzing came from the bathroom.

Genshi Fujino, silent until now, watched, puzzled.

He glanced at the doctor and Officer Ni, then at the teacher and students.

Eyes rolled back, collapsed.

He looked at his Big Bro and the delinquent.

No injuries, just rain-soaked clothes.

Recalling their fall, Genshi Fujino pieced it together, eyes widening with a shocking conclusion.

Could it be…

While he was gone…

Big Bro Su Buyu and delinquent Shizuku Sakurai took down the entire class, teacher included, then, for the thrill of life and death, bet on who’d “finish” first by jumping off the building?

And now… they tied!?

This was bad!

A tie meant they might “fight” again!

Genshi Fujino trembled, swallowing hard, his eyes filled with fear.

No doubt… these two were monsters!

Su Buyu, seeing his terrified look, was confused.

“What’s up, Genshi Fujino? Legs shaking? Something stuffed in there?”

A light jab.

But to Genshi Fujino, it sounded like pre-battle taunting.

He knew he had no strength or trash-talking skills.

In his eyes, Big Bro was an unspeakable entity.

They couldn’t stay here!

If they got excited, other classrooms would suffer!

He had to act!

After a moment’s hesitation, he decided.

“I’ll take you to the infirmary! It’s empty! Rest there!”

Under other students’ stares, Genshi Fujino led Su Buyu and Shizuku Sakurai to the infirmary.

***

The infirmary was locked.

But Genshi Fujino, tight with the nurse, had a key.

He opened the door, hung a “Do Not Disturb” sign, and bid farewell to Big Bro and the delinquent.

Only Su Buyu and Shizuku Sakurai remained.

Fresh air wafted through the window, carrying the earthy scent of post-rain, easing their fatigue.

Su Buyu leaned on an infirmary bed, ready to nap.

His wounds were bandaged.

Shizuku Sakurai carefully fed him medicine, handing him warm water to swallow it.

“How’s the temperature?”

Her cherry-highlighted hair caught his eye, her caring whisper soft in his ear.

He took the water, swallowed the pill, and nodded—it was just right.

After the rain cleared, everything felt slower.

A brief rest let sleep creep in, weighing on his eyelids.

Yawning, Su Buyu leaned against the bed, pulling a blanket over himself.

Shizuku Sakurai lay on the bed beside him, quietly watching.

Their eyes met.

Logically, they had much to say.

Why did Shizuku Sakurai bite her finger to stay awake, just to save him at the critical moment?

Why didn’t Su Buyu abandon her and use the potion from the start?

Why did they go this far?

Their questions, reflected in each other’s eyes, needed no words.

No reason—just trust.

They stayed silent until Shizuku Sakurai broke the quiet.

“If there’s nothing else… goodnight.”

“Mm.”

He nodded, exhaustion pulling his eyes shut, sleep flooding in, consciousness fading.

Su Buyu fell asleep fast, deeply.

So fast that when Shizuku Sakurai turned back, his eyes were closed.

So deep that when she leaned over, her gentle breath on his face, he didn’t stir.

She stared at his sleeping face, her hand unconsciously moving downward.

“…Sorry.”

She lied to him.

She had something big on her mind.

She’d inhaled some of the gas.

Just a little.

But enough to make her body burn, a fire in her abdomen.

“…Sorry.”

Wet, sticky.

Staring at his face, she rubbed, pressed, again and again.

She covered her mouth, trying to stifle the soft sounds, but a sweet moan slipped out.

Bad, so bad… she was so bad.

He was right there, yet she was doing something so shameful.

Sorry… sorry.

Her breaths grew rapid, her hand moved faster.

She knew she shouldn’t, but under the gas’s influence, she couldn’t resist.

It wasn’t her fault…

Right, not her fault.

It was his mistake, his jacket’s scent making her inhale the gas.

It was him… all him.

So… what she was doing was justified.

Right?

Biting her lip, her eyes like silk, the overwhelming sweetness unbearable.

With a bird’s chirp outside, her soft moan mingled with the wet fabric.

She… wasn’t a good kid.

But good thing she was a delinquent.
