X
Renyu Saiki has something to tell me?
A “blesser” like her, wanting to share something with me?
After I left her in such a mess?
Something’s off, isn’t it?
The static crackle of the intercom faded with the students’ footsteps as they left the classroom.
The crowd bustled out, emptying the room.
Soon, only three remained.
Su Buyu and Shizuku Sakurai.
And the girl Shizuku had helped before—Eime Yoshida.
The sunset’s glow fell perfectly on her, heavy bangs hiding her eyes in shadow.
Half her face was cloaked in darkness, her outstretched hand catching the dying light, as if stained with shimmering blood.
Her deep eyes fixed on the two, hesitant, unsure what to say.
“Um…”
Her voice trembled, barely a whisper, soft as a mosquito’s hum.
But they turned, Shizuku’s chestnut hair splitting into a thousand hues in the twilight.
Her amber eyes locked onto Eime Yoshida instantly.
Her lips moved, like a delicate clam, soft and refined, words spilling like pearls.
“Don’t worry, Eime Yoshida, we’ll lock up. You can go.”
Her warm, lively voice lingered in the air.
Eime Yoshida couldn’t tear her eyes from that beautiful face.
She stared, dazed, her gloomy mood lifting slightly.
“Okay… thank you…”
She shyly lowered her head, thanking them.
But when she looked up, Shizuku’s gaze had already shifted.
Her face turned toward the boy, eyes soft as spring water.
“I’ll go with you! How’s that? Got a problem?”
“No problem. One more person doesn’t change anything.”
Su Buyu shrugged, unbothered.
Renyu Saiki had no fight left; he wasn’t worried she’d harm Shizuku Sakurai.
But two things puzzled him.
One: What did Renyu Saiki want to say?
Two: Why was Shizuku Sakurai suddenly in a good mood?
Just moments ago, she was acting awkward, giving him chocolate.
Now she was cheerfully tagging along?
“What’s up with you?”
He asked directly, staring into her lively amber eyes, dancing like elves in the sunset.
She answered promptly.
“You ate my chocolate, bro! I’m happy!”
She punched his shoulder.
Not painful, but firm, like something bros would do.
Well, looks like she’s fully embraced the “bro” thing.
Su Buyu grinned.
He’d thought his weird actions might make her suspicious or scared.
But now… he’d overthought it.
This “bro” bond…
He hoped it’d stay that way forever.
He didn’t want her whispering behind his back about how “good” he smelled.
Haha.
After packing up, they locked the classroom and headed to the school gate.
They didn’t talk much, mostly casual chatter.
The topic often drifted to the girl who’d spoken to Shizuku—Eime Yoshida.
“That girl… Eime Yoshida, right?”
Su Buyu mentioned her as Shizuku leaned on his shoulder, walking awkwardly.
Their height difference was notable.
To other students, it looked like Shizuku was half-draped over him, like a cat on a scratching post, comical.
But no one dared comment—they just smiled.
It was Shizuku Sakurai, after all.
Su Buyu didn’t mind.
If his bro liked it, he wouldn’t complain.
He kept walking, listening to her reply.
“Remember the day we met? I took on those punks to stand up for her. They tried forcing her into a threesome. She refused, so they bullied her.”
“What kind of bullying?”
“They beat her up.”
“But I didn’t see any marks on her today.”
“That’s ‘cause you don’t get it, Non-Speaking Bro~ Bullying doesn’t show obvious scars, like people into public exposure—it’s about the thrill of betting the victim won’t show their wounds.”
“Uh… weird analogy.”
“Take it as a compliment. By the way, Non-Speaking Bro, any food you avoid?”
“Why ‘Non-Speaking Bro’ now?”
“Just felt like it. Got a problem?”
“Nope, I’m cool with it. Why ask about food?”
“No reason, just curious.”
“I don’t have any restrictions.”
“Nice.”
“Huh? Nice how?”
“Nice in every way~”
She hung onto his neck, her cheerful laughter ringing in his ears.
Before they knew it, they reached the school gate.
A police car sat there, lights flashing, a grim face peering from the window, eyes brimming with hatred, as if to engulf Su Buyu.
But he wasn’t fazed.
The silver handcuffs on her wrists were far more striking than her glare.
“Renyu Saiki, how’s it feel to be controlled? As fun as controlling others?”
He stepped forward, smirking at her venomous expression.
He’d fought hard to beat her.
Yet she only got minor injuries, a half-month house arrest, and could return to school?
Seemed unfair.
Sigh, whatever.
“Looks like you won, Renyu Saiki. Back in half a month, huh? Feeling happy? Humming a tune?”
But she just furrowed her brows, her smile twisted, like a beaten dog.
She grinned, growling through gritted teeth.
“Did I win? You think so, Su Buyu?”
“No, you won! You destroyed everything—my identity, my secrets, my life!”
“I can’t control anyone anymore, stuck at home, forced to abstain. Do you know my pain?!”
“You, a student, traded my two years of peaceful, wonderful life. Is that fair? Tell me, is it?!”
Her voice grew hysterical, spilling her anguish.
Tears streaked from her eyes.
But Su Buyu, staring at the tear, felt nothing.
He had no pity for such an enemy.
“That’s your problem.”
“If you called me here to spew garbage, I’m going home.”
He’d expected something valuable.
But this? He’d rather go eat.
Ignoring her nonsense, he turned to leave, but a whisper slipped into his ear.
“I lost my ability.”
“Your fingers are broken, of course you can’t use it.”
But she shook her head.
“No, I mean… my ability fled, like a parasite. It jumped to a stronger host, becoming more dangerous.”
She paused, continuing.
“Su Buyu, ever wonder where my power came from?”
“What…”
Could it be… linked to the Lustful Defiled God’s followers?!
He froze, rushing to the car window, gripping it, staring into her sunken eyes, demanding.
“What else do you know? Tell me!”
He needed more.
But all he got was her cryptic, mocking gaze, a note slipped into his hand, and Officer Ni’s warning.
“Hey, bro, sorry, no more chatting. We gotta go. Next time, I’ll bring fried chicken to make up for it.”
Blocked by Officer Ni’s dark skin, Su Buyu sighed, nodded, and watched him get in the car.
The engine roared, lights switched to left blinker, and the car faded into the sunset.
The note in his hand burned like a hot iron ball.
He stared at the sinking sun, paused, then unfolded the paper.
Bold words stared back.
Anyone who takes what’s mine, I’ll never forgive, even those who gave me my power.
Go to my office. You’ll find what you need.
How to get in? Figure it out!
