Olivianna turned away and closed her eyes, deep in thought. But to an outsider, it looked like the girl was sulking from
being scolded. Though her mind had already wandered into every corner of the game world, the beautiful woman beside
her was still worried about her daughter.
Seeing her daughter seemingly ignoring her, Fufu began to feel a bit regretful. Maybe what she’d just said was too
careless. After a moment, she sighed, got up to turn off the magic lamp, returned to the bed, and quietly slipped under the
covers—then reached out and hugged her daughter tightly.
“Huh?”
Olivianna froze for two or three seconds before she realized—oh… right, this was a double bed.
Yeah, that’s right. Back when her uncle brought them to this house, she and her mom had shared this room and slept in
the same bed, since she was still a kid then.
And now… Olivianna, eighteen years old, was still sharing a bed with her mom, because that wicked fat aunt would rather
leave an extra room empty than give them another bedroom.
So… she was still sleeping with her mom!
This, uh, might be a bit of a problem. To suddenly be hugged so tightly by such a cute, sultry, beautiful mom—wait, hang
on, she’s squeezing me so hard I can’t breathe!
calm down, calm down.
After a while, Olivianna finally managed to wiggle free from the smothering weight on her head. She took a deep breath,
but then heard soft breathing behind her.
She’s asleep already?! Just like that?
Mom, your sleep quality is ridiculously good.
Olivianna sighed. What a shame—she, on the other hand, couldn’t sleep at all. Instead, she had to start thinking late at
night about how to make money…
Hmm…
No matter how she thought about it, Olivianna just couldn’t fall asleep. After some thinking, she realized… money might
not be that easy to make after all?!
There was a good reason for her feeling stuck. After all, in a game world like this, the easiest way to suddenly get rich is to
open treasure chests.
RPG developers love hiding treasure chests all over the map, filled with rewards just waiting for players to find. This
legendary minotaur-developed game was no exception. In her past life, Olivianna had already collected most of those
treasure chests and made a fortune from them in-game.
She even clearly remembered how generous those rewards were—if she could just find a few of them again, she could
easily gather enough for that breach-of-contract penalty.
But… here’s the problem. Of course she remembered where the chests were. She’d studied plenty of guides back then.
All those chests were hidden in maps that only appeared late in the game! There were barely any treasure chests in the
early stages. Sure, the school had a few hidden items, but they were mostly useless—unless you wanted some evidence-
gathering potion for cheating couples… or Maimelou’s panties, or Martina’s stockings…
As for those late-game dungeon maps, they were way too far from the imperial capital where she was now. There simply
wasn’t enough time for a round trip. Not to mention, her level was way too low. Going there now would be suicide—she’d
get eaten by monsters before she even found a single chest.
So… the treasure chest route was a no-go.
[Comment Barrage:]
“Genuine question: Can the streamer even beat a treasure chest monster right now? Don’t get eaten trying to
open one.”
“By the way, why are all three heroines’ clothes hidden in the school as collectible items? Explain yourself, you
pervy dev team!”
“Streamer, you’re dumb. Isn’t there a system? Just open the system shop!”
“You could just borrow money from Natasha. She’s the daughter of a duke—should be a piece of cake!”
“Wrong! Start your own farm! Self-sufficiency!”
Olivianna blinked at the barrage of comments. They were pretty off-topic, but honestly… they gave her some ideas.
Oh right—she had a system!
“System, open the shop interface!”
She said silently in her mind, feeling a bit nervous—what if this feature wasn’t available?
But she was overthinking it. What kind of system doesn’t have a shop? As soon as she made the call, a holographic screen
popped up showing all the features of her system: inventory, shop, task viewer, and chatroom.
Come to think of it, when she’d completed the newbie mission earlier, besides getting a few starter items, the system also
gave her 5,000 Heart Points. But they weren’t in her inventory, so… they weren’t items?
Olivianna reached out and clicked YES on the prompt to enter the Daily Shop. Once inside, she looked at the top right
corner and sure enough—there was a heart icon, followed by the number 5000.
As she guessed, Heart Points were the currency used in the system shop.
The shop had only four item slots. Each slot showed one item. You could click on them for a detailed description, and
below that was the price in Heart Points. Olivianna took a glance—wow, they were expensive… and not useful right now.
Take this item called “Flat is Justice Pill.” It cost 10,000 Heart Points, and the effect was… no matter the original size,
once consumed, all boobs would flatten out like an airport runway.
…What the hell is that even for? Who in their right mind would use this on their girlfriend? Uh… okay, maybe if she woke
up one night being smothered to death by Fufu’s massive chest… but otherwise, she wouldn’t even consider it.
At the top of the shop interface, there was even a countdown timer. Olivianna squinted at it—turns out it refreshed every
day at midnight.
So… the shop inventory changes daily?
What a bizarre system. Seems like if she wanted to get useful items from this shop, she not only had to save up Heart
Points but also had to rely on luck for good stuff to appear.
So the system shop couldn’t be counted on for now. If she wanted a useful item, she’d have to wait for luck to strike and
have enough points on hand to buy it immediately…
Wait a minute. Was she just falling into some kind of consumer trap?
Damn it…
So how was she going to come up with the money within a week?
Of the remaining two options, borrowing from Natasha might actually work… Olivianna trusted her completely. They
weren’t fake friends—they were really close.
But… Natasha’s family heavily limited her spending. Her allowance wasn’t much. And asking her dad—the Duke—was
another story. He was notoriously stingy. He might not be in the mood to help a common-born friend of his daughter’s at
all.
He might not even want them hanging out in the first place.
It wasn’t that Olivianna was worried about the risk—it’s just that she didn’t want Natasha to go broke helping her. She
didn’t want them both ending up eating dirt for days.
And besides… borrowed money has to be repaid. If she couldn’t come up with a stable way to earn money soon, how
would she pay Natasha back? The thought of owing her friend indefinitely made Olivianna really uneasy.
So, in the end, the answer was still… make money… earn it herself…
Wait—got it!
Olivianna’s eyes suddenly lit up.
