Chapter 24: What? Sect Master Song came too?

“Wow!” Su Li’er’s eyes lit up as she greedily scanned the pictures of delicious food on the menu, her speech becoming incoherent. “Can I really order whatever I want?”

“Of course, as long as you don’t waste it,” Tang Yingyue said indifferently.

“Alright! Big sister, you’re such a good person!” Su Li’er snapped the menu shut with excitement and said to the waiter with a beaming face, “Serve the dishes! Braised chicken! Shredded chicken! White cut chicken! Yellow braised chicken! Oh right, and fried tofu! Scallion mixed with tofu! Boiled tofu…”

“Can you finish all that?” Tang Yingyue was dumbfounded. “And why is it all chicken and tofu?”

“I can finish it!” Su Li’er gave what she thought was a handsome and sunny smile.

“Fine.” Tang Yingyue facepalmed once again.

After a short while, the delicious dishes were served, a dazzling array of them.

Su Li’er’s mouth was watering, and her stomach started to rumble in protest.

“Go ahead and eat, I’m not hungry.” Tang Yingyue poured a cup of tea and took a sip.

“Then I won’t be polite~” Su Li’er began to eat with great gusto. Her eating manners were very fierce, holding a large chicken leg in each hand and gnawing on them alternately.

“You child look so well-behaved, but you eat so wildly?” Tang Yingyue couldn’t help but complain.

“I told you… I’m not a child…” Su Li’er responded indistinctly.

“What about Song Ruoxue? Isn’t she with you?” Tang Yingyue asked.

Su Li’er shook her head.

“Alright, I was hoping to see what she looked like,” Tang Yingyue said with regret.

Su Li’er gulped down several mouthfuls of tea and asked in confusion, “Is the Sect Master that famous?”

Tang Yingyue was slightly taken aback and gave her a look as if she were looking at a fool. “Of course, many women have a secret crush on your Sect Master.”

“What!? Pfft—cough cough cough!” Su Li’er was so shocked she choked. Good heavens, doesn’t that mean I have a lot of love rivals?

“But now that I think about it… you’re not simple either. Song Ruoxue has hidden you so well. Tsk tsk tsk, your future is limitless!” Tang Yingyue muttered to herself.

Su Li’er stared warily at Tang Yingyue across the table.

That little look in her eyes expressed extreme dissatisfaction and suspicion.

“Don’t look at me like that, I’m not interested in Song Ruoxue.” Tang Yingyue shrugged. “In fact, I’m not interested in people at all.”

“Huh?” Su Li’er was dazed.

“You don’t know?” A smile appeared on the corner of Tang Yingyue’s mouth.

“Know… what?” Su Li’er frowned. She couldn’t figure it out, she couldn’t figure out what this person was talking about at all.

“I’m a demon-kin,” Tang Yingyue took another sip of tea and said indifferently.

“Pfft—” The chicken leg Su Li’er had just put in her mouth came flying out. She gave an awkward laugh. “Sorry, the chicken legs were fighting in my mouth just now. Big sister, please continue.”

“Do you want me to continue?” Tang Yingyue propped her cheek on her hand, her pupils gradually turning golden and becoming vertical.

Wisps of golden spiritual energy permeated the surroundings.

“Go on, what can’t you say.” Su Li’er glanced over and then continued to wolf down her food. It seems that demon-kin can also move around freely in this world. Another piece of good news.

“You…” Tang Yingyue narrowed her eyes and asked in a low voice, “are also a demon-kin, right?”

Su Li’er’s action of eating the chicken leg suddenly paused for a moment. She threw down the chicken leg, wiped her mouth with a napkin, and stated very seriously, “I am a human, thank you.”

“But you…” Tang Yingyue wanted to say something else.

“I am really a human. I am not interested in demons, thank you!” Su Li’er promised solemnly.

Tang Yingyue’s expression changed slightly, and she rolled her eyes in slight displeasure. Could she really have been mistaken? Where did that faint, almost imperceptible demonic aura that occasionally emanated from this little one come from?

Forget it.

Things have come to this, it’s time to leave.

“Is big sister leaving?” Su Li’er asked in confusion.

“I still have very important things to do. We’ll meet again if fate allows.” After throwing down this sentence, Tang Yingyue left directly, paying for the meal before she left.

—”Thank you for your patronage, please come again!”

The sound of a shout came from the entrance of the shop.

Su Li’er leaned back on the sofa in relief, her face full of worry.

Is my disguise really that obvious?

Or is it because she’s a demon-kin, and there’s some kind of connection between the same kind?

Ah, I can’t figure it out!

If I can’t figure it out, then I won’t think about it!

Su Li’er shook her head and once again focused on her meal.

After about ten minutes, the entire table was cleared. Everyone is responsible for the “Clean Plate” campaign.

Su Li’er happily patted her round little belly.

This is the happiness of being full~~

Alright, I’ll rest for a bit, and then I’ll head to Sunset Glow Village.

Just as Su Li’er closed her eyes, a voice trying to strike up a conversation sounded in her ear.

—”Are you that little junior sister from the Sword Sect?!”

Ugh, a voice that’s a little strange yet familiar. Who is this?

Su Li’er opened her eyes and dazedly made out the other person’s appearance. It was an ordinary passerby’s face, with freckles, and wearing a white coat.

“Uh, you are?”

“You were unconscious that day. My name is Bai Ningning, the attending physician of Flower City. I was the one who examined you that day.” Bai Ningning handed over a card again, her movements so practiced they seemed to have been repeated a thousand times.

“I see.” Su Li’er showed a polite smile. “My name is Su Li’er… eh? Um? Why are you so close?”

Bai Ningning was practically pressing her face against hers, her face full of astonishment, as if she were admiring some rare treasure. “Su Li’er, your flame of life… is actually flourishing!”

“What are you talking about!” Su Li’er pouted in annoyance. “I’m the protagonist, how could I die so quickly?”

“That’s not right. The flame of life cannot be reversed. What on earth are you…” Bai Ningning pushed up her black-rimmed glasses, her expression growing more and more grave. “No… no… this is very wrong. Why is your flame of life flickering so unstably? What on earth is going on…”

“Oh, come on! Alright, alright!” Su Li’er repeatedly pushed Bai Ningning away and said resentfully, “I’m much better now, don’t say these things to scare me!”

So scary, this person is so scary!

She saw right through my lifespan in an instant…

“Alright, I was being rude.” Bai Ningning smiled apologetically.

“It’s alright.” Su Li’er waved her hand, then suddenly thought of something. After confirming that there was no one around, she said cautiously, “Do you know Tang… uh, what was her name? There was a beautiful woman with blue hair and super long legs just now…”

“Oh, you mean Tang Yingyue?” Bai Ningning said.

“Ah, right, right, right, that’s her. She’s a demon-kin, right?”

“Mmm-hmm.”

“Then what kind of demon-kin is she?”

“Dragon-kin.”

“Huh!?”

“She’s the princess of the dragon-kin, very famous. I heard she has a very good personality and is easy to talk to. She’s also beautiful… and has long legs. If I could date her, hehe~ But Song Ruoxue is not bad either… a cool and aloof goddess. I wonder who can melt her heart?” Bai Ningning had already fallen into a fantasy.

The corner of Su Li’er’s mouth twitched.

This doctor?

Flower City is doomed…

Forget it, things have come to this, it’s time to leave.

It’s time to set off on the main quest!

“Big Sister Ningning, do you know where Sunset Glow Village is?”

“Oh, turn right when you go out and walk straight. You’ll be there in ten minutes.”

“Alright, then I’m off, bye-bye.” Su Li’er quickly slipped away and left the restaurant in a flash.

“Hey, wait—” Bai Ningning reached out a hand to stop her and muttered in dissatisfaction, “Honestly, what’s the hurry? It would have been nice to chat a little longer.”

—Ding ding ding, welcome.

At the same time, a cold voice came.

—”Doctor Bai, that woman with blue hair just now, what’s her background?”

“Oh, that person, she’s the princess of the dragon-Clan… hmm!? Sect Master Song?” Bai Ningning was dazed.

“Hello.” Song Ruoxue nodded calmly.
