Their first feeding after reuniting lasted until midnight.
Eventually, Luoyao showed slight signs of blood loss.
Yet she persisted, saying nothing.
Noah stopped on her own.
She understood Luoyao’s heart but couldn’t overstep.
Kind, lovely girls were rare.
Noah knew to cherish her.
She leaned against the headboard, patting the empty spot beside her.
She gestured for Luoyao to sit closer.
Luoyao hesitated.
Before, as master and servant, they hadn’t been this intimate.
“It’s okay, come here,” Noah said. “I want to hold you a bit.”
“Alright…”
Luoyao cautiously scooted over, leaning against Noah.
She glanced at the Miffy rabbit used to cover her face earlier. “You left this plush at my door, right? And the stomach medicine, the dress.”
Noah didn’t deny it, nodding. “Yeah, I did.”
“You followed me?”
“Just passing by.”
“You totally followed me!”
“Fine, fine, so what if I did?” Noah said. “Who knows if that nutcase Suyue would try to kiss you or something.”
Oh, so this silver-haired stalker saw her “date” with Suyue too.
Luoyao blinked, raising a playful brow with a sly smile. “Are you… jealous?”
“Nope, jealous of what? Not at all.”
“I don’t need mind-reading to know you’re lying,” Luoyao teased, mimicking Noah’s tone from hours ago when she broke in.
Noah chuckled, pinching Luoyao’s nose. “Alright, I’m jealous. I haven’t even gone on a date with you, and Suyue got a whole day with you.”
“It wasn’t a date,” Luoyao clarified quickly. “I was just trying to get back at her for you!”
She pulled free from Noah’s embrace, sitting up.
Counting on her fingers, she said, “Look, I made her look like a fool, forced her to eat tons of spicy sauce. No real harm, but I did my best.”
Noah smiled fondly, patting Luoyao’s head. “Thanks for avenging me, dear human miss.”
Luoyao grinned, nestling back into Noah’s arms.
Her left hand rested on her chest, her right on Noah’s toned stomach, birdlike and cozy. “Why’d you come back to me all of a sudden?”
After the joy, it was time for serious talk.
“Didn’t I say? Without you, nothing tastes good.”
“Tch, I don’t buy it. With so many people in this city, someone’s blood has to taste better than mine.”
Noah gave a soft smile, pinching Luoyao’s cheek. “But I really only want your blood.”
She didn’t plan to tell Luoyao about the experiment from twenty years ago.
It might worry her.
Luoyao had lived peacefully for twenty years.
Telling her now that her blood was special, tied to an inhumane experiment, would be hard for anyone to accept.
So Noah wanted to ease her hunger with Luoyao first.
Then quietly investigate her background.
If Luoyao was truly linked to that experiment, if her blood had an addictive substance for vampires, then Noah… might be bound to her forever.
Hmm—
Not a bad thing.
But as a human, Luoyao’s lifespan and blood supply were limited.
If something happened to her, Noah wouldn’t last long either.
To avoid that, she’d better figure out Luoyao’s origins soon.
And find a solution.
“Ouch, who was the high-and-mighty vampire telling me not to fall for her, or I’d be miserable?”
Luoyao mimicked Noah’s past words with exaggerated coyness. “Now you’re saying you only like my blood?”
Noah raised an eyebrow, teasing. “Little thing, getting cocky now that we’re close, huh?”
Luoyao shrank, pouting. “Sorry… I got carried away…”
“You’re just too cute!”
Noah cupped Luoyao’s face, kneading it gently without force.
“I’m just teasing, don’t take it seriously.”
“You always scare me like that… I’m afraid you’ll suddenly… treat me like before.”
Noah shook her head, voice warm. “I won’t. Luoyao, you saved my life, and I left my kiss mark on you. Our bond isn’t like other master-servant ones. You can be playful, throw tantrums, joke around—I don’t mind.
If I sound harsh, just tell me. I want you to know, sometimes I can’t control my tone, but I never mean to snap at you, got it?”
Luoyao nodded obediently. “Got it.”
“Good girl. Here’s a kiss as a reward~”
“No way, stop it!”
“Just a little kiss~”
After a half-hearted peck on the cheek, Noah was content.
After all, they had plenty of time.
Her story with her human miss… was just beginning..
