Chapter 27: Origin of the World · Illusions of the Gods (Chapter eight)

Where the distant sea meets the sky, the Sea God rises,

his blue robe dancing in the wind.

His eyes are deep like an endless abyss,

mysterious, hiding countless legends.

Waves are his powerful breath, roaring and mighty,

striking the shore, playing a heroic battle song.

The Pacific’s great waves, like thousands of galloping horses,

move at his command, endlessly charging.

Whirlpools are his mysterious eyes, spinning and swirling,

devouring all, showing terrifying power.

The mysteries of Bermuda captivate the world,

his domain brimming with unknown riddles.

Whales are his loyal guardians, majestic in form,

shuttling through the deep sea, protecting its order.

The humpback’s song is ethereal and soft,

sending his message through the darkness.

The Sea God governs the origin of life,

plankton beginning life’s long journey.

Coral reefs are like splendid palaces, vibrant with color,

nurturing countless lives, blooming with oceanic prosperity.

He grants humans abundant treasures,

fisheries blessing their tables;

oil and gas driving the wheels of modern civilization.

Yet human greed makes him frown.

The Sea God hopes we can revere the ocean,

protect this deep blue realm, and let its beauty last forever.
