His demonic nature held the foremost position in his personality, such that even if he were to drink the peculiar poison of the Joyous Union Sect as if it were mere water, his face would not flush, nor would his heart race.

Firstly, his Blood Demon Spiritual Physique rendered him immune to poison; secondly, his heart remained as pure as ice in a jade pot (TL Note: A classical Chinese idiom meaning a pure and untainted heart).

“Stop spouting nonsense,” he said. “I’ll get you out.”

Upon hearing this reply, Zhao Shuyun let out a sigh of relief, yet at the same time, a hint of regret seemed to flicker in her eyes.

‘Since she could squeeze through, it meant her upper body had passed; therefore, pulling her backward should be effective.’

Records regarding the Immortal Slaying Array were scarce, only noting that once activated, few survived. Rumors also circulated that those trapped within would descend into madness, slaughtering each other.

Unable to discern what method was at play, Su Qin dared not use his divine abilities, deciding instead to pull her out by hand.

“Bear with it for a moment, I’ll be quick.”

Without waiting for her to prepare herself mentally, Su Qin placed his hand on her snow-white, slender waist.

While the Blood Demon’s body was icy cold, the Immortal’s body, which he had just been fantasizing about, was burning hot.

As their bodies touched, it felt as if an electric current surged through him, leaving him utterly numb with tingling sensations.

“What’s wrong?”

Su Qin looked at the continuously trembling Immortal with some surprise. ‘How did she become like this the moment I exerted force?’ he wondered. ‘Is it truly that painful?’

Could she have been grazed by the rough rocks within the hole?

After a moment of thought, Su Qin activated his Companion Spirit Wood, pouring some of the stored spiritual liquid into his hand.

Next, he dripped the icy liquid onto the Immortal’s bare waist, hips, and thighs, as potent life energy, without question, poured into her body.

This sensation of being filled by a strange substance caused Zhao Shuyun to let out a muffled groan, nearly fainting.

To minimize friction as much as possible, the demon extended his ‘sinful’ hand and spread the spiritual liquid evenly.

‘This demon, he’s clearly taking advantage of me…’

Immortal Lingtai felt both shame and anger; her beautiful face was flushed so deep it seemed blood might drip from it. Yet, being stuck, she could only allow the demon to have his way.

After applying the liquid, Su Qin tried again, but she remained stuck.

Looking closely, it seemed as if the ‘little white rabbit’ fabric on her body had gotten hooked on something during the dragging process, preventing him from using brute force to pull her out.

Zhao Shuyun’s body trembled slightly. This embarrassing situation, entrusting her lower body to a stranger—and a notorious ‘lustful demon’ at that—made her deeply uneasy.

Ultimately, this was no different from entrusting the Great Sage to guard the Peach Garden; both scenarios involved delicious peaches.

‘He couldn’t have intended to never save me, could he? Is he merely trying to take advantage of the situation and ‘devour’ me?’

‘That would make him truly wicked.’

The cave vibrated from the lingering aftermath of the battle outside, and Su Qin knew time was running out.

“Pardon my offense.”

Without a word, the demon reached for the ‘little white rabbit’ fabric. Zhao Shuyun’s body stiffened, her beautiful eyes filled with astonishment.

‘What is he doing? This isn’t the motion to pull me out at all!’

Her two fleshy legs struggled frantically, but Su Qin controlled both her ankles with one hand, while his other hand did not cease its movements.

‘As expected, the demon’s intentions are impure. He’s not even pretending anymore!’

Zhao Shuyun closed her eyes in resignation, yet the affection in her heart intensified even further.

‘As expected, I can’t escape the demon’s grasp… No, wait. Perhaps this fellow’s target was me all along, and abducting Yue’er was merely a ploy to force me into submission.’

Immortal Lingtai’s mind reeled with a storm of thoughts.

‘Hmph! What a conniving demon, to go to such painstaking lengths just to possess me.’

As the last piece of fabric covering her lower body came loose, Immortal Lingtai’s delicate body trembled, the chilling sensation making her head spin.

Su Qin stared, somewhat blankly, at the beautiful, fluttering butterfly, then swallowed hard, deciding to attend to the main task first.

‘Wuwu, this fellow has seen everything…’

According to the customs of her homeland, only a husband was permitted to see this. Was she truly to acknowledge this demon as her husband?

Acknowledge a demon so utterly obsessed with her body, one who went to such great lengths just to possess her, as her husband?

‘It seems… he’s not entirely bad.’

Zhao Shuyun felt as if she had a fever, surprised to find that she wasn’t entirely averse to acknowledging the demon as her husband.

She even felt a slight anticipation.

‘He’s not my husband, he’s not my husband… He is my husband, my husband…’

Immortal Lingtai seemed enchanted; as she repeated the words, their meaning twisted. When the demon touched her body again, her face was so hot it felt as though one could fry an egg on it.

Neither of them knew they had already fallen under the influence of the Grand Array.

The demon tried various positions, but always failed to pull her out. His caution prevented him from rashly using his divine abilities, though inwardly, he harbored a slight complaint.

‘Seriously, big sister, how exactly did you squeeze in there?’

Zhao Shuyun was more profoundly affected by the array. At this moment, little rationality remained in her eyes, which were now hazy and filled with just two words.

‘Desire.’

‘My husband’s hands feel so good.’

Immortal Lingtai exhaled warm breaths, her gaze hazy.

She began to fantasize uncontrollably, imagining the demon’s passion flaring, pressing her down and taking her wildly.

What surprised her even more was that, if it were this demon, she didn’t seem to mind, even feeling a slight anticipation of being treated that way by him.

Each touch from the demon stirred a ripple in her heart. Before long, the last vestiges of rationality vanished from her eyes.

After repeated attempts and verification, Su Qin found that this ‘big sister’ was truly stuck too tightly, prompting him to decide to risk using a magical technique.

However, before he could act, her fleshy legs suddenly wrapped around his waist and back, pulling him closer.

Faced with her sudden action, Su Qin naturally wanted to escape immediately, but he suddenly found that the restraint around his waist wouldn’t budge an inch.

‘What’s going on?’

Su Qin’s face was filled with astonishment. It wasn’t that he couldn’t break free, but rather that his body seemed out of his control, unwilling to break away.

“Is this charm magic?”

‘How could this be? Blood Demons were clearly immune to poison, yet her behavior was strikingly similar.’

There was no time. Su Qin quickly lost his rationality and slowly lowered his head.

He found himself repeatedly needing to ‘wash his face’, while Zhao Shuyun’s ‘vibration mode’ remained almost perpetually active.

After a long while, the demon’s rationality finally reclaimed its high ground.

“How could I have done such a thing…”

Su Qin covered his face in repentance, as if the one who had just been wildly taking was not him.

However, after the recent incident, he roughly understood the mechanism of the Immortal Slaying Array. It wasn’t charm magic, but rather something akin to an emotional amplifier.

Because AoE charm magic might not kill people, but instead lead to more intimate encounters, which conflicted with the recorded massacres.

Its true function was to amplify emotions, magnifying the thoughts within one’s heart.

If you harbored hatred for someone, you would directly draw your sword and attack them. If you feared someone, you might be too scared to even stand.

Thus, it caused those with murderous intent to act directly and those with fear to surrender, indirectly killing cultivators by inciting conflict.

This explanation finally made sense.

Zhao Shuyun’s inherent lack of security caused her to desperately squeeze into the hole when sensing danger, even if it meant getting stuck.

Her amplified desire, likely triggered by physical contact, was probably why both of them behaved as if under the influence of charm magic.

At least, it now seemed that his divine abilities were unaffected. Realizing this, Su Qin used his Companion Spirit Wood to enlarge the hole, finally rescuing her.

Yet, the Immortal still blushed, her beautiful eyes, filled with unfulfilled longing, stared at him expectantly.

‘Why are you looking at me? I don’t owe you money.’

Su Qin sniffed, his thoughts not as dramatic as Immortal Lingtai’s.

However, once desire is ignited, it is difficult to extinguish, especially for a recluse who had guarded her empty chambers for decades.

Zhao Shuyun, her face flushed, leaned closer to him. Under the array’s influence, she now regarded the demon as her husband.

Even the inherently shy Immortal Lingtai’s face was utterly flushed, and she playfully punched his chest with her delicate fist, chastising him in a soft voice:

“You scoundrel, you pervert, always bullying me! What kind of man just strips someone without taking them?”
