Chapter 3: First Meeting with the Guy Who Stole My Girlfriend

He and I were still holding hands.

I didn’t avoid his gaze.

I was looking at him with the most confident eyes possible.

“Please sit down.”

He let go of the hand he was holding with mine.

He still had one hand in his pocket.

With his other hand, he pointed to my chair.

And then he spoke to me in an arrogant yet intimidating manner.

I glared at him for a moment.

Then I sat down in my seat.

He walked over to where Joo Hyun was sitting.

And sat down next to Joo Hyun.

“Oppa, you’re here?”

Joo Hyun smiled sweetly at him and said affectionately.

“Yeah.”

“I’m sorry for calling you when you’re busy.”

Joo Hyun made a playfully sad expression at him.

And then spoke to him flirtatiously.

“Of course I had to come.”

He made an expression that seemed satisfied with Joo Hyun’s flirtatiousness.

And then, he boldly put his arm around Joo Hyun’s shoulder as he spoke.

His arm wrapped around Joo Hyun’s shoulder.

Joo Hyun ended up nestled into the man’s embrace.

Joo Hyun smiled shyly.

“So you’re an uncertified C-class Hunter.”

With one arm holding Joo Hyun close, he looked at me.

And then said, slightly sneering.

“That’s not important right now.”

I retorted.

“Being C-class and even an uncertified Hunter, it must be quite difficult to get a job at a guild.”

He ignored my words and continued speaking.

“There’s no particular problem.”

“I heard you can handle magic with bare hands even without a magic weapon? That’s one strange thing.

Since the destructive power is only about C-class, it doesn’t seem particularly useful though.

Well, since you fight with bare hands, it’s good that you don’t have to pay for magic weapon maintenance.

Maybe it’s a good characteristic for someone without money?

He spoke to me in a polite yet subtly threatening tone.

“None of the options are what I want. Don’t you have something to apologize for?”

“Apology? What kind?”

He made a brazen expression.

“I heard that you asked Joo Hyun to date you even though you knew she was still dating me.”

Furious, I unconsciously started speaking informally to him.

“Hmm… So?”

He also replied informally to match me.

He asked me, giving me a ‘So what?’ expression.

“I don’t have a problem with you two dating, but doing it that way was wrong.

You should have at least asked her out after she broke up with me properly.

That way, I wouldn’t have been like an idiot, not even knowing my girlfriend was already dating some other guy, laughing and joking, diligently protecting her, and providing for her living expenses.”

I continued speaking, angry at him.

“I don’t care about S-class or anything like that, I want an apology as one person to another. You are clearly in the wrong. Admit it.”

I said, looking squarely at him.

“I don’t understand.

Isn’t it the way of the world that a stronger, more capable man gets the woman?

I wanted to have Joo Hyun, so I told her to be mine, and Joo Hyun was simply more attracted to me than you and came to me.

I clearly told Joo Hyun to break up with her ex-boyfriend.

I clicked my tongue in disbelief and continued speaking.

A crazy combo.

And you, you had a girlfriend dating another man, did you think you could just let that happen?”

Anyway, Joo Hyun’s heart was 100% entirely mine, so some idiot, I don’t know who, still believed she was his woman and was working hard to give her things.

As if he was very angry, his words and actions also became rougher.

And then she replied, glaring at me.

I like it.

As a Hunter against a Hunter, you’re not even worth a punch, but I’ll acknowledge your courage as a man for not being scared of me at all despite being C-class.

Because I’ve never seen a guy like you before.

But I also have dignity, and I have no intention of apologizing to someone like you.

And I don’t think I need to. So instead, let’s resolve this like Hunters.
