The afternoon military training ended as usual, and Su Cheng found Lin Shiyue’s silence throughout the afternoon strange.

Normally, Lin Shiyue would have definitely asked Su Cheng why she wasn’t in the dorm at noon.

But Lin Shiyue didn’t ask, nor did she seek her out during break time.

‘When things are this strange, something must be up.’
‘Though it’s also possible that Lin Shiyue has lost interest in me.’

A fleeting interest was also a possibility.

But the Lin Shiyue from her past life was not the type of person to have a fleeting interest.

It’s easier to change rivers and mountains than a person’s nature; Su Cheng didn’t believe the Lin Shiyue of this world would be so drastically different from her past life.

‘Something’s not right…’

Large raindrops pulled the pensive Su Cheng back to reality.

“Is it raining?”

Su Cheng raised her palm uncertainly, and the raindrops splattered against it, easing her slightly furrowed brows.

“It’s raining!”

Su Cheng shouted excitedly to Chen Xi and Sun Xiaochen beside her.

“Why are you so excited about a little rain?”
Chen Xi glanced at Su Cheng as if looking at an oddball.

“If it rains, we don’t have to do military training! Why are you two so calm?”

Su Cheng’s puzzled gaze shifted between the two of them.

Sun Xiaochen shook her head and said, “You’re dreaming. They’ll find other ways to torture you on a rainy day.”

“At least we won’t have to be out in the sun,” Su Cheng muttered.

As they spoke, the rain grew heavier, and the three of them quickened their pace toward the cafeteria.

After they finished eating, it was pouring outside the cafeteria.

The three of them stopped at the main entrance.

“Oh no, I didn’t bring an umbrella.”

Chen Xi looked up at the dark, oppressive sky, her expression a little troubled; the weather truly changed in an instant.

Su Cheng appeared beside Chen Xi, “What’s there to be afraid of? If we get wet, we’ll just go back and take a shower.”

“You go first then.”

“Oi, oi!”

Sun Xiaochen gave Su Cheng a light shove, and Su Cheng stumbled directly into the rain. The downpour, like strings of cotton, quickly soaked her snow-white hair.

Su Cheng turned to glare at Sun Xiaochen and shouted, “Sun Xiaochen, you’ve gone too far!”

The sound of the rain nearly drowned out Su Cheng’s voice; Sun Xiaochen could only hear the last half of her sentence.

“Excuse me.”

Suddenly, a clear, cold voice came from behind Chen Xi and Sun Xiaochen, and then a beautiful figure passed between them.

Although the heavy rain obscured some of the view, Su Cheng could still clearly see the black-haired girl walking toward her.

It was Lin Shiyue.

Without a word, Lin Shiyue opened her umbrella and ran to the side of the soaking-wet Su Cheng.

Many passersby who witnessed this scene cast surprised glances, and as Su Cheng’s roommates, Sun Xiaochen and Chen Xi were even more astonished.

“Chengcheng, are you alright?”

Su Cheng: ???

‘What kind of nickname is that?’

“I’m… I’m fine.”

Brushing away the clumps of hair stuck to her brow, Su Cheng stared wide-eyed at Lin Shiyue.

Lin Shiyue was now glaring with a hint of blame at Sun Xiaochen, who guiltily turned away to avoid her gaze.

More and more people were gathering to watch the two girls in the rain; they couldn’t stay here for long.

Lin Shiyue turned to look at Su Cheng, held her slightly cold hand, and then looked at her drenched clothes, concern naturally surfacing in her clear eyes.

“Hurry back to the dorm and take a hot shower, you’ll catch a cold. I’ll walk you.”

“Ah? Oh… then I’ll have to trouble you, Class Monitor.”

Lin Shiyue smiled faintly, “No trouble at all, I’m heading back anyway.”

With that, Lin Shiyue held Su Cheng’s hand firmly and led her towards the dormitory.

Left behind to take shelter from the rain in the cafeteria, Sun Xiaochen and Chen Xi felt a little wistful.

“Hey, hey, who do you think will win? Senior Yin or the Class Monitor?”
Chen Xi whispered into Sun Xiaochen’s ear.

Sun Xiaochen replied in a low voice, “Right now, the situation is still unclear. We’ll have to wait and see.”

Back in the dorm, Su Cheng took her things out of her pockets and found a clean set of clothes.

“Alright, hurry up and take a shower. I’ve set the water temperature for you.”

Lin Shiyue walked out of the bathroom just as Su Cheng had changed into her slippers and gathered her clothes.

“Thanks, Class Monitor. I’ll go take a shower now.”

Lin Shiyue smiled slightly, with a hint of urgency in her tone, “Go on.”

After watching Su Cheng enter the bathroom and close the door, Lin Shiyue quietly approached Su Cheng’s desk, examining everything on it.

She scanned Su Cheng’s desk but found no valuable clues. The question of whether Su Cheng was a transmigrator remained unanswered.

However, the pink phone on the desk was particularly glaring to Lin Shiyue. She knew it was a gift from Yin Xuelian to Su Cheng.

No matter how displeased she was, she couldn’t just smash Su Cheng’s phone.

Picking up the phone to examine it closely, she noted the case, as smooth as Dove chocolate, and the flawless, intricate Doro icon. It reflected a different luster from every angle. It even used a top-of-the-line Little Dragon Doro collaboration chip, making it extremely fast.

An expensive phone was indeed expensive for a reason.

Lin Shiyue accidentally touched a button, lighting up the screen. The name displayed in the missed call notification instantly filled her calm eyes with confusion and displeasure.

“My Dearest Sister Lian… Damn it…”

Lin Shiyue wanted to smash the phone, but the thought of Su Cheng’s reaction made her stop, her hand frozen mid-air.

“What kind of damned contact name is this?”

Lin Shiyue huffed angrily, her chest heaving violently.

She gripped the phone tightly, the impulse to smash it still lingering in her mind.

This strange contact name baffled Lin Shiyue and also left her feeling a little dejected.

‘Could it be… Su Cheng has already been won over by Yin Xuelian?’

‘The contact name is so sweet, it can’t be true, right…’

“Squeak…”

“Phew, that feels good, sis~”

The sudden sound of the door opening, accompanied by Su Cheng’s sigh of contentment, made Lin Shiyue place the phone back in its original spot with lightning speed.

Su Cheng was drying her hair as she walked towards her desk, and upon turning the corner, she saw Lin Shiyue standing there.

“Hey, Class Monitor, you haven’t left yet,” Su Cheng said, slightly surprised.

Lin Shiyue nodded, her expression calm as she said, “I was about to leave, but your phone rang, so I came back. But it hung up just as I did, so I didn’t get to answer. You should check it.”

“Oh? Let me see who it is.”

Su Cheng didn’t think much of it. With a towel over her wet hair, she immediately went to her desk and picked up her phone.

The moment she lit up the screen, Su Cheng frowned, feeling a bit unaccustomed to the strange yet familiar contact name.

“It’s her… Huh?!”

The gaze from behind her, as sharp as a newly drawn blade, fell upon the screen. Su Cheng realized a formidable figure was standing behind her and quickly flipped the phone face down on the desk. She turned her head to look at Lin Shiyue’s already darkened, pretty face.

‘I’m so screwed! My god!’

“My Dearest… Sister Lian…” Lin Shiyue’s low voice was deafening, and the oppressive atmosphere instantly maxed out. “You’re already calling her ‘dearest.’ Just how much do you like… Senior Yin?”

Su Cheng felt as if Lin Shiyue’s words were several mountains pressing down on her chest, her heavy breathing incessant.

“Shiyue, you… you have to let me explain. There’s a misunderstanding. It’s not what you think,” Su Cheng quickly explained, her voice trembling uncontrollably from extreme nervousness.

“Explain? A misunderstanding? Are there that many misunderstandings?”

Lin Shiyue’s voice, as cold as black ice, seemed to lower the temperature of the surrounding air by several degrees, and Su Cheng’s body trembled even more violently.

“There really is! I can show you if you don’t believe me.”

Su Cheng hastily grabbed her phone and opened the contacts, wanting to demonstrate for Lin Shiyue.

Lin Shiyue stared skeptically at the phone in front of her, then gave Su Cheng a cold look.

Su Cheng swallowed hard and quickly began to operate the phone.

“Senior Yin was the one who changed this contact name. This phone has a special memo function, so I can’t change it unless Senior Yin does it herself. And she’s the one who gave me this phone, so you understand, right?”

No matter how much Su Cheng tried to edit Yin Xuelian’s contact name in her address book, it was futile, because the edit option was grayed out and unselectable.

And it was only for Yin Xuelian’s number. She could edit everyone else’s contact names, but Yin Xuelian’s was special.

Su Cheng had just changed into clean clothes, but now her back was slightly damp with sweat.

“Now you believe me, right?”

Lin Shiyue watched Su Cheng’s entire operation and could somewhat understand, but she didn’t fully believe her.

“I’ll believe you for now, but what exactly is your relationship with Senior Yin?”

Su Cheng stammered, “What relationship? Classmates… or rather… the relationship between a junior and a senior.”

“Is it really just an ordinary classmate relationship?”

“Really, it’s the absolute truth.”

Lin Shiyue’s expression subtly relaxed, but her gaze on Su Cheng remained stern.

“Alright, I’ll let you off the hook.”

Su Cheng let out a long sigh of relief, but before a few seconds had passed, Lin Shiyue’s lips parted again.

“However, from now on, you must get Yin Xuelian to change this contact name. I don’t care what method you use to persuade her. I don’t want to see her calls coming in with this name.”

“Huh?!”

Su Cheng’s eyes widened in astonishment. This was harder than killing her.

Lowering her voice and looking rather pitiful, Su Cheng put her hands together and tried to act cute for Lin Shiyue.

“My dear sister, can we change the request? This is too difficult. You might as well just kill me.”

She couldn’t afford to provoke Lin Shiyue, but she could afford to provoke Yin Xuelian even less.

But Lin Shiyue didn’t make things difficult for Su Cheng…

“Fine, I’ll give you a second option. It’s very simple too.”

A glimmer of hope flickered in Su Cheng’s eyes as she looked up and stared directly at Lin Shiyue.

“My dear Class Monitor, what is this option?”

The corner of Lin Shiyue’s mouth curved into a triumphant smile.

“You all saved my number when I was elected Class Monitor. Now, change my contact name to ‘My Favorite Shiyue’.”

“Huh?!!!”

Su Cheng’s cry of shock was even louder than before; it seemed the entire floor could hear it.

“Are you going to change it or not? Huh?”

Lin Shiyue’s expression instantly turned serious, her brows knitted with a look of coercion.

Su Cheng could already imagine the consequences. If Yin Xuelian saw this, wouldn’t she be torn to shreds?

But if she didn’t change it…

She wouldn’t be able to get past the current crisis either.

It was better to deal with the immediate problem first.

“I… I’ll change it…”

“Hurry up.”

Lin Shiyue’s brows relaxed as she watched Su Cheng change her contact name, an unconcealed, triumphant smile on her face.

At this moment, Su Cheng had a million silent screams in her heart, not daring to imagine the scene when Yin Xuelian found out in the future.

‘Why is everyone trying to corner me?’

“If you secretly change it back and I find out, you’ll face the consequences.”

Threats! Nothing but threats!

Su Cheng really wanted to hold her head and cry her eyes out.
