Chapter 32: Back to the amusement park

Silence fell over the village.

Orpheus gripped his lyre and frowned.

The chief uncle’s face also hardened.

“Huu.”

Ria was the first to break the silence.

Ria, with her arms crossed, examined the remnants of the scattered powder and smiled.

“They’re playing tricks again.”

“…Uung, I agree.”

I also agreed with Ria’s thoughts.

I slowly nodded.

What was important was—

“…Were these people erased on their own? Or.”

Ria continued, taking my words.

“Or, was it a ‘forced elimination by someone’s intervention, Senior’?”

“Yeah.”

The villagers’ atmosphere became even heavier.

The chief uncle put his arms and sighed.

Orpheus muttered softly.

“They took the wife’s flower, and the flowers didn’t respond in the area, so it wasn’t surveillance.”

“How about the bear doll?”

“The bear doll was the same. It came to the village right away.”

“Then, there are three possibilities. One, a person with the skill to erase the traces perfectly.”

Ria held up three fingers and said.

“Before arriving here, they may have set up an erasure device if they revealed the information to prevent information from being obtained from this side.”

“The last one?”

“Both of them.”

The villagers’ expressions hardened even more at Ria’s words.

The chief uncle sighed deeply and muttered.

“…If it’s both, this may be more troublesome than we thought.”

“That’s right. The ones aiming for Elysium’s soul are a thoroughly prepared force, enough to erase their traces by force.”

The atmosphere became extremely stagnant.

Orpheus, flicking his lyre, continued.

“Well, we’ve gotten through the crisis thanks to Sajjang. We can’t do anything by worrying now, so everyone, go back and rest.”

“Okay. Everyone worked hard searching.”

Even Eurydice joined and encouraged the people.

At the same time, a gentle lyre music was heard.

Perhaps it was thanks to Orpheus’s music.

As the gentle and soft tone flowed, the atmosphere relaxed.

The chief uncle slowly nodded.

“Okay, for now, everyone go back and rest. We have a lot to sort out today.”

“Yes, we will.”

“…Haaam. Let’s sleep and think later.”

The villagers began to disperse one by one, not hiding their tiredness.

But some didn’t leave and stood in front of me.

“Sajjang? It’s too late, so won’t you stay at our house today?”

“Where should we put the bear dolls?”

“…The stable would be no good, right?”

‘…Is that so?’

Where should we keep the bear dolls?

I looked at the bear dolls, pondering.

The bear dolls were wandering around the village,

And they watched the people enter their houses one by one.

Even though they had joined the village not even a day ago,

They were so comfortable and natural, as if they had always been in this village.

The villagers too.

And the bear dolls.

But.

It’s no good to put the bear dolls in the stable,

And it was not easy to bring them into the villagers’ houses.

The bear dolls would either get stuck in the entrance or break the door if they entered the house.

It’s a little tiring, but I can’t help it.

I took out the magic pen from my pocket.

“Hey─. Do you have any unused vacant lots?”

“Yes, but… why are you asking, Sajjang?”

“I will draw a bear doll house there!”

The villagers looked at me closely and exchanged glances with each other.

The chief uncle stroked his chin, looking interested.

“Draw a bear doll house…. You’re drawing it?”

“Yeah!”

I smiled brightly and shook the magic pen.

Ria, smiling next to me, helped.

“What Senior draws is materialized.”

“…Materialized?”

“Yeah! The Goddess gave it to me! To create cute things to my heart’s content! The bear dolls were made like that too!”

The villagers looked at each other with bewildered expressions.

And soon, they started whispering.

The people who finished the brief meeting came and stroked my head.

“Sajjang.”

“Yes?”

“Then, instead of a house, why don’t you make a temporary tent in the square?”

“Eh…, a tent?”

The chief uncle added an explanation.

“Because it takes a long time to draw a house where those big kids will live.”

“Yes. It’s late, and Sajjang will be tired, so why don’t you draw only the tent today?”

“We will prepare a house for those guys.”

“They’re working hard to protect the village. We have to repay them at least that much.”

I blinked and looked at the villagers.

They were already seriously considering a house for the bear dolls.

What furniture to prepare, what materials to use,

How to design the house, they had a busy discussion.

“The roof has to be sturdy. It has to withstand the rain and wind!”

“The house has to be big, right? And tall too?”

“The floor has to be fluffy. We have to check if there’s a good material.”

One of the uncles, trying to reassure me, was trying to appeal to his experience as a carpenter.

“I built most of the houses in this village, you know.”

“Eeeh, really?”

“Then—! I have a lot of experience! I will be in charge of the construction.”

The villagers also agreed with laughter.

“That’s right. You can’t go wrong with this guy’s skills.”

“Even if our village has been attacked frequently and hasn’t been maintained, the building itself is very strong.”

“How is it, Sajjang? Won’t you leave the house to us?”

I nodded with a bright smile.

And then, I politely bowed to the villagers.

“Yeah! Thank you very much!”

“Huhu, of course, we have to.”

The chief uncle patted my head with a satisfied smile.

And so I made a large tent in the square.

And following the villagers’ persuasion, instead of going back to the amusement park,

I stayed overnight at Orpheus’s house.

In the morning I woke up after sleeping in the village.

Breakfast was incredibly lavish, like a banquet.

Eurydice also prepared a delicious meal, but……

“Sajjang, are you there?”

“I brought something.”

“I’ll share this with you, since I’m here too.”

“I brought some fruit to pick, won’t you eat it?”

It was because the villagers kept coming to share the food with us.

I looked down at the overflowing table and muttered blankly.

“…Heaven is different, after all.”

“Yes?”

“People share things with each other, everyone is kind─!”

Eurydice stroked my head, smiling.

“Everyone is being nice because you’re kind. And you also helped the village.”

“Still, I didn’t expect them to be this nice.”

“That’s natural. It’s a way of treating a benefactor who worked hard for the village.”

Orpheus handed me a freshly baked bread and said.

“Sajjang, if you need help, tell me anytime. We will also help Sajjang.”

“Really? But it’s okay though, right?”

The two nodded, smiling.

And then Eurydice clapped her hands and said.

“Ah, right. You said you wanted to plant flowers in the amusement park. If it is confirmed that the bear dolls are protecting the village well, I will go to the amusement park and help with the landscaping.”

“Reaaally?!”

I jumped up from my seat, unable to stop eating the bread.

“Are you really coming, Auntie Eru?!”

“Of course. Since Sajjang helped my village, I have to do that much.”

Eurydice gently pinched my cheek, smiling.

I couldn’t hide my excited heart.

I looked at Ria, full of anticipation.

“Riaaa—! Riaaa!”

“Good for you, Senior♡”

“Yeah!”

“Haha, although I said I would help, I’m not sure if I can be as helpful as Eurydice.”

Orpheus scratched his neck as if it was embarrassing.

But—.

I secretly hoped for something while listening to Orpheus’s performance.

If he is a master of music, then…

He will surely be able to fill the essential element that is essential for the amusement park!

I clasped my hands and looked at Orpheus with sparkling eyes.

“Uncle! Won’t you be in charge of music?”

“Music?”

Orpheus blinked, looking bewildered.

I nodded vigorously and shouted.

“Music is needed! It livens up the atmosphere, and it makes you feel good! It’s super, super important!”

“Um…”

Orpheus looked down and fell into thought.

Eurydice tapped him with her elbow, giggling.

“You should do it, honey, since Sajjang wants it.”

“Haha, right. Since I promised.”

Orpheus smiled, lightly flicking his lyre.

A short, lively tone echoed in the air.

“Then, shall we visit the amusement park with Eurydice?”

“Uncle too?!”

“Yeah. I should see it myself to compose music that suits the amusement park so that it can be felt more lively.”

“Wow! Uncle is the best—!”

I raised both arms with delight.

I didn’t even think about music,

And I gave up on the landscaping after listening to Eurydice’s words.

I didn’t know that all of this would be solved at once.

‘And I’m even getting the help of amazing experts!’

I couldn’t contain my excitement.

It was really like a dream.

Music, landscaping.

And most of all, the people acknowledge the children I made.

I, who had wished for things in this world, was having those wishes come true one by one.

“Ria, I’m so happy!”

“I’m happy because Senior is happy♡”

I jumped from my seat in excitement.

Eurydice and Orpheus, seeing that, smiled too.

And my happiness didn’t end there.

As we were about to go back to the amusement park,

The villagers came as if by appointment.

“Sajjang, are you going?”

“Yeah!”

“Why don’t you stay a little longer?”

“I brought a sandwich, eat it on the way.”

The villagers brought many gifts for us.

Starting from food,

Clothes, and also handmade herbs, ointments, and useful daily necessities.

They were all gifts filled with sincerity.

“Wow…. Are you all giving us this?”

“Of course. Sajjang is the benefactor of our village.”

“Come visit again, okay?”

“Yeah—! Aunties and uncles, you have to come to the amusement park too—!”

I waved my hand and was about to leave, but the chief uncle ran over, holding a jar of soup.

“Oh my, I’m tired. Fortunately, I’m not late. Here, is the soup you were eating deliciously.”

“Wow! Thank you!”

“And, would you accept this too?”

The chief uncle handed me a beautiful blue stone that was sparkling.

I carefully received the stone with both hands.

It seemed like a warm magic was felt.

“What is this?”

“It’s the return stone of our village. With this, you can come anytime.”

“…Can I have this?”

The chief uncle looked at me with warm eyes and nodded.

“I prepared it so that you can come back anytime if you want. So, come visit anytime. Okay?”

“…Uung…. Yeah! I’ll visit often—!”

The villagers nodded and smiled.

“You have to come and visit again.”

“We welcome Sajjang and Ria anytime.”

“Once the amusement park is completed, we will visit it too.”

I clutched the return stone tightly in my arms, feeling overwhelmed.

“Thank you very much! I’ll definitely come again! Promise—! Ria, say hello—”

“Yes, Senior♡ … I’ll come again.”

I waved my arms and greeted them,

The bear doll, and the villagers all waved their hands until we were out of sight.

So we returned to the amusement park, receiving a warm send-off.
