Chapter 37: Rebellious Phase

The wall outside the Qingyu Dormitory was built from large black round stones piled together, looking ancient and full of artistic charm.

At the main gate hung an irregular, fried-egg-shaped wooden sign, carved with the six crooked characters “Qingyu Comprehensive Dormitory,” which looked extremely cute.

Below it was another small wooden plaque, roughly painted with a cartoon character and the words “Welcome Home.”

How should one put it—there was a strong sense of warmth and familiarity.

After entering, there was only a single building in the courtyard.

The architectural style leaned somewhat toward a modern apartment.

From below, one could see the doors of each floor of the three-story Qingyu Dormitory.

The entrance was a slanted wooden staircase beside the building.

Keke and Yiluo’s room was at the very end of the third floor.

Along the way, Yiluo kept observing the doorplates hanging outside.

There were a total of ten rooms on the third floor, and it looked like only four of them were actually occupied.

Yiluo could understand this.

Although the Qingyu Dormitory was very cozy, its location was not ideal.

It was not far from any of the three major branch academies, but also not close to any of them.

Ordinary people naturally would not choose this place.

After opening the door, Yiluo and Keke’s school uniforms and books had already been delivered.

They were piled into a small mountain in the middle of the room.

The room’s decor was very natural.

On both sides of the small living area were two fairly large bedrooms, and further inside, the kitchen and bathroom were fully equipped.

After entering the room, Keke immediately began tidying up the books and school uniforms on the floor.

Yiluo helped by carrying things together with her.

It was originally a very harmonious scene.

But after finishing, Yiluo noticed something was wrong.

She turned her head to Keke, who was making the bed, and said, “Keke, why did you move your clothes and belongings into my room as well?”

After helping Yiluo spread the bedsheet, Keke took out a white nightdress for her and said matter-of-factly, “Of course I’m going to live in the same room as Miss Yiluo.”

???

Yiluo’s head filled with question marks.

“Isn’t the dormitory two rooms, and this is a single bed, Keke…”

Keke froze when she heard this.

After reacting, she hurried outside.

Two minutes later, Yiluo heard “creak… creak…” sounds coming from outside.

She saw Keke pulling the single bed from the neighboring room with both hands, her body leaning slightly backward.

Apart from the white knee-high socks and her delicate, fair thighs above them, one could also see a fluffy white little tail constantly swaying under her slightly lifted skirt, as if she were very happy.

Pfft…

Yiluo suddenly felt her blood rush toward her head, and her face instantly turned red.

Of course, it wasn’t from embarrassment (/ω\)!!

It was from anger!!!

Yiluo quickly ran over to help press down Keke’s skirt to prevent exposure, then stopped Keke from continuing to move the bed into her room.

After her first embrace, Keke’s strength was roughly at the peak of the sixth tier.

According to the demon race’s classification—tiers 1–5, Calamity, Catastrophe, Demon King, Heavenly Disaster—she belonged to the peak of the Calamity tier and could break through to the Catastrophe tier at any time.

Moving a bed was naturally effortless for her.

“Keke, you’re not allowed to move it anymore, go to that room!”

“This is a double dormitory, and also, you need to be careful—your skirt was totally exposed just now!”

Keke remained bent over, turned her head to look at Yiluo, and said indifferently, “It’s just Keke and Master here, so exposure or not doesn’t really matter.”

“After all, Master has already seen all of Keke long ago.”

“Uh, this…”

Looking at Keke’s innocent little eyes, Yiluo didn’t know how to respond for a moment.

Indeed, back then in the Sealing Demon Mountain Range, in order to apply medicine to Keke, she had basically seen everything she should and shouldn’t have seen.

But!

At that time, one was acting out of urgency, and the other still looked like a childish kid who hadn’t grown up yet, basically not developed at all.

But now?

The little girl had transformed into a young cat-eared maiden.

Curves in all the right places, her figure even better than Yiluo’s to an unknown degree.

How could these situations be treated the same?

This was the pain of watching one’s daughter grow up.

As an old father, Yiluo needed to consciously avoid some overly suggestive springtime sights.

“That’s different—Keke has grown so much now!”

After hearing Yiluo’s words, Keke’s little mouth drooped like a duck’s.

Her round eyes gradually filled with mist, and her two small white cat ears instantly drooped down.

She looked at Yiluo pitifully.

“Master, don’t you want Keke anymore, don’t you want Keke anymore?”

“Um…”

“Clearly Keke likes Miss Yiluo the most, the most…”

“As long as I see Miss Yiluo after waking up every day, all my troubles disappear and I feel so happy.”

“Does Miss Yiluo want Keke to stay alone in that gloomy, pitch-black room, missing Miss Yiluo all night without sleep, then get up with dark circles and an exhausted body to make Miss Yiluo her favorite blood pastries…”

“Um… but as long as Miss is willing to eat them… Keke would still be satisfied…”

Uh, what?

Looking at Keke’s pitiful appearance and imagining the scene she described, Yiluo’s heart softened involuntarily.

Just as she was about to relent and comfort Keke, she quickly covered her mouth with her small hand.

Who was Yiluo?

How could she fail to see through Keke’s little schemes?

It was just that Yiluo absolutely could not withstand seeing Keke’s small cat ears droop down.

Along the way, she had already softened her heart several times and agreed to sleep in the same room with Keke.

Yiluo forcibly endured the affection she felt for Keke, repeating in her heart.

Keke has already grown up.

Although it’s a good thing that Keke is attached to her.

But what kind of old father sleeps together with such a grown daughter?

She’d be taken away by the police uncle, damn it!

For Keke’s sake, she couldn’t soften her heart anymore!

Yiluo placed her other small hand on Keke’s forehead, covering those drooping little cat ears, and said through clenched teeth,

“Keke, this dormitory is a double room. I absolutely cannot allow you to sleep with me again. You’ve grown up and need to learn to sleep by yourself!”

“I won’t fall for the same trick nine times!”

“Um… who exactly taught my pure Keke to become like this!”

Seeing that Miss Yiluo remained unmoved, Keke muttered softly, “Of course it was Miss Yiluo.”

And just like that, under Keke’s ninth pitiful offensive, Yiluo finally succeeded in refusing Keke’s request to share a room.

Although Yiluo was very capable in all aspects, once she faced Keke, her IQ always dropped and she became soft-hearted.

In fact, Yiluo understood many things.

It was just that she really found it hard to be cruel to Keke.

Today could be considered an exceptionally strong performance.

Watching Keke’s back as she pushed the single bed back into her own room with “creak… creak…” sounds, Yiluo inexplicably felt a bit of loss in her heart.

Could it be that because her request wasn’t satisfied, Keke would start becoming rebellious?

Don’t children usually become rebellious when they grow up?

Although Yiluo had a child, she hadn’t actually gone through that rebellious age.

She herself hadn’t experienced a rebellious phase either, so she really didn’t understand much about it.

But Keke was still very well-behaved.

Otherwise, if she acted a bit more coquettish, Yiluo really wouldn’t be able to resist.

What a good child.

As Yiluo sighed inwardly, she had no idea that after pushing the bed back into her room, Keke’s face showed no sign of disappointment at all.

“Mm, tonight I’ll secretly sneak onto Miss Yiluo’s bed to sleep.”

“The two of us squeezing onto one bed… a single bed at that… meow-yi-woo!”

Keke’s face was burning red as she lowered her head shyly, not daring to look at Yiluo again.

She hurried off to tidy up the kitchen, planning to make a delicious dinner for Yiluo that evening.

After seeing Keke leave her room with her head lowered, not even daring to look at her, and rush into the kitchen, Yiluo’s heart suddenly skipped a beat.

She took two steps back and sat down on her bed.

A trace of melancholy appeared on her delicate face as she murmured with her small hand near her mouth,

“Ah… it’s over… it really seems like she’s entered the rebellious phase!”
