Chapter 37: The Moon Wheel’s Grand Ascent

“Everyone, please proceed in an orderly fashion onto the Moon Wheel. Do not run around, or any troublemakers and violators will have all rewards for this hunting activity revoked!”

Ahoge Dragon gazed at the colossal object before her, resembling a massive wheel, yet also a giant moon with a noticeable bite taken out of it.

A profound bewilderment etched itself onto her face.

A throng of people had already ascended, and as she scanned the area, she saw a dense sea of heads.

Surely, there must be tens of thousands here!

Where on earth did this immense contraption originate?

“Mao Mao, do you know what this is?”

Mao Yuxia had ultimately followed, convinced by Ahoge Dragon’s seemingly flawless plan.

Transforming into grass and then becoming invisible—who could possibly notice them?

A truly peerless combination for getting away with it!

“I heard it’s an ancient war chariot, used primarily for transportation.”

“An ancient war chariot?” Ahoge Dragon murmured, stroking her chin in contemplation, convinced that anything from antiquity was inherently valuable.

“Oh, right!”

Ahoge Dragon slapped her forehead, realizing she possessed the Analyzing Dragon Eyes; how could she have possibly forgotten such a crucial ability?

She promptly decided to analyze it.

“Wow… what a treasure.”

For something so immense to be entirely crafted from gold-grade materials—just imagine how many gold-grade magical artifacts, like the legendary Little Li Flying Dagger, could be fashioned from it!

Ahoge Dragon desperately coveted it, yet knew it was an impossible dream.

“Little Ahoge, we’re about to take flight.”

Ahoge Dragon craned her neck to peer outside, watching the small mountains below recede into ever-diminishing specks.

They soared higher and higher, a truly exhilarating ascent.

Furthermore, a protective barrier now enveloped the Moon Wheel, ensuring no discomfort despite their dizzying altitude.

“It feels so incredibly high-tech—can this truly be an ancient artifact?”

Ahoge Dragon then observed the swiftly transforming landscape beneath them; the speed had to be at least equivalent to a six-star tier.

To carry such a multitude of people at this pace, it was nothing short of a divine artifact!

“Many years ago, the invasion of the elven race led to the annihilation of countless other races and the severing of innumerable legacies. It is highly unlikely that artifacts such as this can ever be reproduced.”

Mao Yuxia sighed, for she often immersed herself in books during her leisure time.

Consequently, she possessed some knowledge of ancient history.

“That truly is a great pity,”Ahoge Dragon, for her part, already knew this immense object was merely a chariot wheel.

One could only imagine the colossal scale of the true chariot if this was just a single wheel!

It could surely house an army of a million!

Truly, it was a terrifying thought!

“Ugh… my head feels a bit dizzy…”

The ride felt rather unstable, leaving Ahoge Dragon feeling quite motion-sick from the chariot wheel.

“Just bear with it for a little while longer; we’ll arrive in four hours.”

Yao Yueli knelt and gently pulled Ahoge Dragon into her comforting embrace.

She hoped this would provide Ahoge Dragon with some much-needed comfort.

“Four hours… I… I think I’ll just sleep through it!”

Even in her previous life on Blue Star, Ahoge Dragon had always detested car rides.

The sensation of motion sickness was utterly unbearable for her.

She then nestled her head against Yao Yueli’s chest, and in her dazed state, quickly drifted off to sleep.

By the time Ahoge Dragon awoke, night had already fallen. She rose from within a tent and stretched languidly.

“Meow! Little Ahoge, you’re finally awake!”

Mao Yuxia was beside her, a map clutched in her hand.

Ahoge Dragon rubbed her eyes, asking, “Have we arrived?”

“Yes, indeed! It’s already evening, so let’s get some good rest. The hunting activities won’t commence until tomorrow.”

“You want me to sleep right after I’ve just woken up?!”

Her stomach rumbling with hunger, Ahoge Dragon scratched her backside before making her way out of the tent.

Stepping outside, she discovered a vast encampment of countless tents.

Armored figures patrolled ceaselessly in every direction.

Ahoge Dragon focused her gaze, astonished to realize that every single one possessed four-star strength.

It was evident that the Radiant Moon Kingdom held this hunting expedition in extremely high regard.

“Little Ahoge, don’t wander off, or you’ll easily get caught.”

Mao Yuxia emerged from the tent, following close behind.

She was genuinely concerned that Ahoge Dragon might stir up trouble once more.

“It sounds like there’s a fight going on over there! Come on, let’s go watch!”

Ahoge Dragon’s ears twitched, catching faint sounds from a considerable distance.

Her curiosity was instantly piqued.

Mao Yuxia made no attempt to stop Ahoge Dragon, instead following her towards a distant area where a colossal bonfire blazed.

Numerous tables were arranged around the bonfire, laden with delectable food, and many people were gathered there, enjoying a feast.

In the center, an open space had been cleared, where two individuals were currently engaged in a skirmish.

“This is a sparring session before the main competition, primarily intended for participants to gauge each other’s strengths and weaknesses.”

“However, no one is foolish enough to reveal all their trump cards here; consequently, the actual outcome of these bouts rarely holds much significance.”

Mao Yuxia, it seemed, was quite knowledgeable.

Ahoge Dragon paid no mind to the sparring; her true concern was why these people were enjoying such delicious food without inviting her to join them!

Scanning the crowd, she spotted several tables occupied by familiar faces. Without hesitation, she bounded over to join them.

“Yo~~ Toad, you big fat pig, you’re here too!”

Yue Guangyao and his companions had been enjoying themselves immensely, but Ahoge Dragon’s sudden greeting nearly made him choke on a bone!

“Cough, cough, cough! Cough, cough, cough, cough! You stinky lizard! You actually dared to show your face here! The forest teems with terrifying magical beasts; just try not to wet yourself when the time comes!”

“No need for you to worry your ugly head, I’m not even afraid of a repulsive monster like you, a mere toad. Why would I ever be afraid of them?”

Ahoge Dragon narrowed her eyes, a cunning smile playing on her lips.

“However, just make sure you don’t suddenly jump out and try to scare me; I genuinely fear you might give me a heart attack!”

“You—!!”

Yue Guangyao’s face flushed purple with rage. Where did she get off calling him ugly?!

Nevertheless, he took a deep breath. ‘No, don’t get angry, don’t get angry,’ he told himself. ‘After all, Yao Yueli and her companions have merely arrived to meet their doom this time.’

He would not stoop to bickering with the soon-to-be dead.

“Wow, Sister Rou’er, you’re here too! What are you eating? Give me one!”

Ahoge Dragon, seemingly acquainted with everyone present, then darted over to another table.

“Here, have some,” Xing Rou’er offered, handing Ahoge Dragon a dark, spherical object that unsettlingly resembled an eyeball.

Ahoge Dragon recoiled in surprise, hastily shaking her head as she replied,

“No, no, thank you. That’s rather terrifying.”

“But it’s quite delicious, you know~, Ahoge-chan~”

Such a sugary, maidenly voice could only belong to an exceptionally adorable girl, or so one would think.

Yet, to Ahoge Dragon’s dismay, it was none other than Gudou Ritien, the twin-tailed boy who had previously unsettled her.

Despite him being a cross-dresser, Ahoge Dragon found him tolerable, as long as he didn’t attempt to embrace her.

“Ritien! Can you dance ‘Gokuraku Jodo’? Do that one for me, or ‘Shin Takarajima’ would be perfectly fine too!”

Ahoge Dragon suddenly mused that with such an attractive physique, he would undoubtedly make for a captivating dancer.

“Oh, I can certainly dance, darling, but what exactly are ‘Gokuraku Jodo’ and ‘Shin Takarajima’?”

Gudou Ritien stroked his chin, blinking his large, innocent eyes with a captivating charm that could steal anyone’s heart.

‘Damn it,’ Ahoge Dragon thought, ‘He truly is an enchanting little vixen, what a pity he’s a boy.’

“Well, what *can* you do? Come on, do something for us~~, please~~.”

Since Ahoge Dragon had nothing better to do, she figured it was the perfect opportunity to stir up some entertainment.

“Since Ahoge-chan likes it so much, how about I perform a pole-dancing, strip-tease, belly-dancing ghost step for you?”

“That sounds so exciting!” Ahoge Dragon’s eyes lit up. ‘Were the people here really this wild?’ she wondered.

“However, Ahoge-chan, I also wish to perform for my little brother. If you could help me call him over to watch with us, then I shall dance for all of you~~”

As he spoke, Gudou Ritien cast a coquettish wink in Ahoge Dragon’s direction.

A vibrant display of youthful exuberance.

“Alright! Leave this matter to me!”

Ahoge Dragon’s excitement surged, and as for Brother Toutian, she could only offer her sincerest apologies in advance.
