“You’re done for! I told you!”

No sooner had Sal spoken than blue lightning suddenly surged in the mysterious man’s hands.

He placed his lightning-covered hands on the massive ice spike that had pierced his chest.

In the next second, lightning crackled, and the ice spike shattered instantly under the blue arcs crawling across it.

“Seriously?!”

Sal stared as the mysterious man—already rolling his shoulders and walking toward her—approached.

The gaping hole in his chest, caused by the ice spike, was rapidly healing with every step he took.

“Where’s that person hiding? Didn’t think you had another trick.”

The masked man continued walking forward, but just as he reached out toward Sal, another attack came from the same direction.

But this time it wasn’t a large ice spike—

It was a continuous barrage of small ice needles.

“(Imperial curse) Damn it! Can’t you stop already?!”

The mysterious man seemed irritated by the hidden attacker who kept launching surprise spells from the dark.

Lightning once again enveloped his hands.

Facing the direction the spikes came from, he swung violently.

A thunderbolt, as if falling from the sky itself, exploded in the alley.

When ice met lightning, it triggered a small explosion, scattering the ice needles into countless shards that sprayed everywhere under the force.

Fortunately, Sal had already crouched down with her head covered, exactly as planned.

A translucent magical barrier shimmered around her—clear proof that a powerful mage was definitely nearby.

And as for who that person was…

The masked man already knew very well.

From the moment both sides used magic, they had already recognized each other.

“You might as well come out now, right? My dear senior brother?”

As expected—

The moment those words were spoken, the previously empty space under the streetlamp revealed Rain, who should have already left earlier.

He stood there with a stern expression.

“I’m extremely disappointed in you.”

“Do you know who the first person I suspected was when Sal told me about this whole situation?”

Rain stared at the “mysterious man,” his tone and expression overflowing with bitter disappointment.

“It was you, Bost.”

“As one of your mentor’s disciples, do you think everything you’re doing now is worthy of the teacher who raised you?!”

“Fifteen years… and you still haven’t changed.”

Hearing Rain call his name, the man no longer bothered to hide.

He removed his mask, revealing a face that looked youthful and delicate—but twisted with cruelty and madness beneath the surface.

“Senior brother, you’re still the same as ever…

Always talking about dignity this, disappointment that.”

Bost remained utterly calm despite Rain’s scolding—neither nervous nor angry.

And Sal, watching the two from inside her bubble shield, didn’t understand why they hadn’t already started fighting—

But she understood one thing:

From the way they spoke to each other, it was obvious that although they still addressed each other as “senior brother” and “junior brother,” the fight between them today would absolutely be a kill-or-be-killed battle.

“Senior and junior turning on each other… the fallen disciple versus the righteous one… tsk, tsk, tsk.”

Sal had to admit—the bubble shield was pretty comfy.

And these two were definitely about to start a massive, destructive fight.

As for predicting the winner?

Sal didn’t particularly like Rain, but she fully trusted his magic ability.

So she was certain—

Rain would win!

But the series of events that followed made her nearly drop her jaw.

The two of them stood in a tense standoff for a long time.

Sal thought that in the next second they’d unleash everything—

When Bost suddenly raised his hands behind his head…

Then proceeded to squat down on the ground.

And then came the shocking words no one saw coming:

“Can’t win. I surrender.”

Even Rain froze—despite having secretly charged up a Fireball Plus behind his back.

Sal, sitting in her bubble waiting to enjoy the show, nearly choked.

“Dude, what are you doing?”

“I was literally about to bring out popcorn, and you suddenly go, ‘I quit, I surrender’?!”

Sal slammed her fists against the not-soundproof barrier.

Rain didn’t fully understand her sudden emotional outburst, but the look on her face said it all:

She absolutely did not accept Bost’s surrender.

“I’ve been used as your punching bag for more than ten days…

You chased me and toyed with me like a dog for more than ten days…”

“And now that I finally get a chance to vent even a little bit—

You want to surrender?! Not fight?!”

Sal’s face turned bright red with rage.

It was like playing Apex.

You get lasered all match long by some guy using a pre-nerf Spitfire.

Finally, finally you catch him, knock him down, line up the perfect finisher to humiliate him—

And the dude quits the game just before you finish him off.

Sal felt like if she lifted her blanket tonight, Bost’s face would be staring at her from underneath.

So she had to vent this rage.

“All right… you say you surrender, huh?”

In extreme anger, Sal’s expression became eerily calm.

She shifted her gaze from Bost to Rain, speaking in an unnaturally composed tone.

“Rain. Disable this thing.”

“But I’m worried he—”

Rain didn’t finish.

Sal’s glare shut him up instantly.

He obediently dispelled the barrier protecting her.

He already had a good idea of what Sal intended to do.

Freed from the shield, Sal raised the wrist wearing the bracelet high above her head.

“Lost from the heavens and fallen here…

Twisted spirit born upon this earth!”

Golden-red light burst from the bracelet.

Bathed in light, Sal walked toward Bost, channeling every drop of her magic into her tightly clenched fists.

Behind her, Rain also acted—

Chains of high-purity ice crystal condensed from the air, tightly binding Bost in place.

“Get ready to grit your teeth, you filthy… half-breed!”

In Sal’s eyes burned a month’s worth of torment and rage.

On her fists burned pure golden dragon magic.

In the next second, Sal brought down her iron fist straight toward Bost’s stiff, forced smile!

Left fist high damage, right fist higher damage!
