In the spacious and bright living room.
Simple, minimalist paintings hung on the warm-toned walls, and various fresh green plants like succulents, heavenly bamboo, and areca palms decorated the corners.
A light gray, high-quality carpet was spread across the marble-patterned floor, and the solid wood furniture looked expensive at a glance.
Even though it was his seventh day since his arrival in this world, Arisugawa Yuu still felt a sense of awe.
A house this beautiful was something he had only ever seen online before.
He never imagined it would now be his own home.
Wait, calling it his own home wasn’t entirely accurate.
To be precise, the house was rented.
Beautiful things are expensive, and the steep rent was naturally paid by Kanzuki Kanon.
With no source of income, Arisugawa Yuu was undoubtedly living off his younger sister.
Taking this into consideration, Arisugawa Yuu didn’t put up too much resistance when his sister demanded he do those things.
Of course, it would be nice if his sister’s attitude could be a little better.
Though that was highly unlikely!
But, no matter what, she was his sister after all. Even if her personality was a bit harsh, it wasn’t unacceptable—that’s what Arisugawa Yuu had originally thought.
However—
“I said I don’t like spicy food.”
Accompanied by the girl’s cold yet slightly coquettish complaint, a shrimp, lightly bitten and now covered in her glistening saliva, was dropped into Arisugawa Yuu’s bowl.
Arisugawa Yuu looked at the shrimp the girl had bitten with disgust and said, his head aching, “Kanon, can you please not put things you’ve already eaten into my bowl?”
The girl didn’t answer Arisugawa Yuu right away.
Instead, as if they were too heavy, she rested her full, snowy mounds on the tabletop.
After a satisfied sigh, Kanzuki Kanon propped her chin on her delicate hand, her aqua-blue eyes staring unblinkingly at Arisugawa Yuu as she said matter-of-factly, “Didn’t Brother say we shouldn’t waste? Then Brother can help Kanon eat it.”
“It’s just one shrimp.”
A contemptuous smile appeared on Kanzuki Kanon’s delicate face.
“Oh? Could it be that Brother’s mind is so full of thoughts about his female classmates’ thighs and chests during class?”
Arisugawa Yuu was momentarily confused.
“What do you mean?”
Kanzuki Kanon’s smile grew even more scornful.
“Without single steps, you can’t travel a thousand miles. Without small streams, you can’t form a river or sea. Don’t disregard it just because it’s a single shrimp. Doesn’t Brother understand a simple principle like accumulation? Or is it that Brother’s brain, so filled with his female classmates’ chests and thighs, can no longer accommodate any more knowledge?”
Although he was vaguely aware that Japanese literature curriculum included a large amount of classical Chinese texts, Arisugawa Yuu never expected his sister to use this particular phrase to lecture him.
He was at a loss for whether to laugh or cry.
Could this be considered ‘meeting an old friend in a foreign land’ in another sense?
No, Arisugawa Yuu quickly denied his own thought.
He felt no joy in this.
“I understand the principle, but this clearly isn’t an issue of waste, is it? Why do I have to eat something you’ve already eaten?”
“Didn’t Brother himself say we shouldn’t waste?”
“I say, do you really have to hold such a grudge?”
The girl tucked a stray strand of silvery-white hair behind her ear, her crimson lips parting as her cold voice carried a hint of an unquestionable tone.
“Of course it’s necessary. Making Brother clearly understand how to treat his sister is an indispensable part of his training.”
“Cough, cough, cough… T-Training?”
Arisugawa Yuu almost thought he had misheard.
But it was not his imagination—
The girl rested her fragrant cheek on her hand lazily, her beautiful eyes misty as if brewing a vortex powerful enough to swallow a person whole.
At such a close distance, Arisugawa Yuu could see his own reflection with exceptional clarity in her aqua-blue eyes.
One could even say that besides his reflection, there was nothing else.
A thought inevitably rose in Arisugawa Yuu’s mind—if there really was a vortex, he would undoubtedly be doomed.
And indeed, that was the case.
The girl’s beautiful jade fingers tapped slowly and rhythmically on the tabletop, her voice sweet and lazy.
“You don’t really think I would simply treat you as a brother, do you?”
Arisugawa Yuu forced a polite but awkward smile.
“I don’t think this joke is funny at all.”
The girl leaned over, frivolously pinching Arisugawa Yuu’s chin.
“I’m not joking, my dear ‘brother’. What do you think I’m keeping you around for?”
Being held by the chin like this by a beautiful girl might be exciting for an ordinary person, but at this moment, Arisugawa Yuu was in no mood for romantic thoughts.
His smile was sarcastic.
“So, are you treating me as a future boyfriend… or a pet?”
The girl laughed with appreciation.
“As expected of the man I’ve set my sights on.”
The girl’s sweet breath rushed into his nostrils, making Arisugawa Yuu feel a little dizzy.
In his daze, Arisugawa Yuu heard Kanzuki Kanon continue, “Until then, I will call you Brother—if you like that.”
Arisugawa Yuu came back to his senses and subconsciously said, “Role-playing?”
“Don’t make it sound so crude, my dear brother. Until then, you are, of course, my real brother.”
“That’s quite a twisted hobby you have.”
Arisugawa Yuu commented bluntly.
The girl didn’t deny it, her smile as beautiful as a blooming flower.
“It’s interesting, isn’t it?”
Arisugawa Yuu nodded in agreement.
“It is indeed interesting—if I had such a twisted hobby.”
The girl gently lifted Arisugawa Yuu’s face, first planting an extremely ambiguous light kiss on his forehead, then gently biting his ear.
Along with the sweet breath moist with the girl’s saliva, a seductive voice vibrated his eardrums.
“My dear brother, it’s okay if you don’t have it now. You will soon—I will continue to call you Brother in bed. I’m sure you’ll grow to like it very quickly.”
The early spring temperature should have been pleasant, but at this moment, Arisugawa Yuu felt genuinely hot and bothered.
A surge of heat traveled down from his ear.
First, it quickened his heartbeat, then it converged at a single point.
This is bad!
Arisugawa Yuu swore that his reaction was purely due to the human instinct to challenge taboos, and absolutely not out of his own will.
Although, agonizing over this was completely pointless.
Feeling Arisugawa Yuu’s rapidly rising body temperature and accelerated heartbeat, Kanzuki Kanon nodded in satisfaction.
“Very good. It seems you’ve understood your future mission.”
Arisugawa Yuu forcefully suppressed the strange feeling within him and said stubbornly, “I swear, that day will never come.”
Kanzuki Kanon smiled radiantly, her expression filled with undisguised contempt.
“Is that so? I’m looking forward to seeing how you’ll resist me.”
“You damned woman, just you wait.”
Kanzuki Kanon lowered her head, her moist crimson lips enclosing Arisugawa Yuu’s Adam’s apple, holding it for a long time before letting go.
“…”
“My dear ‘brother’, the more you resist, the more excited I’ll get, hehehe~”
That was her last sentence before she left.
Staring at the table full of food, Arisugawa Yuu fell into deep thought.
So, does this mean he was now cohabiting with a pervert who coveted his body?
Even though this pervert was devastatingly beautiful.
But, a pervert is a pervert, and that fact doesn’t change with good looks—at least, that’s how it was for Arisugawa Yuu at this moment.
‘A boy must protect himself’—Arisugawa Yuu planned to firmly remember this sentence in his heart.
