Chapter 4: Let’s win over the heart of the Ice Cold Sect Master today too!

“Sister Song, the treatment was a success, don’t be sad.”

“Um.”

“Look, your body is much better now, right!”

“Um.”

“I definitely won’t tell anyone about the secret of your body, Sister Song!”

“Um.”

Song XiaoXiao’s eyes were as lifeless.

‘Stripped naked.’

‘Completely stripped naked.’

‘And I was even touched and pinched all over by that nine-tailed fox…’

‘I don’t want to live anymore.’

“Oh dear, Sister Song~” Su Li’er felt extremely guilty. “It was just a couple of pinches! I’ll let you do it back to me, how about that! Come on!”

Song XiaoXiao lowered her head slightly, looking at the exquisitely beautiful Su Li’er before her, then shook her head, “Too young.”

“Damn it!?” A vein throbbed on Su Li’er’s forehead.

“Don’t misunderstand, I’m saying you’re too young, not the youngest.” Song XiaoXiao’s face remained ashen.

“You’re bullying this fox too much!” Su Li’er ground her teeth, puffing out her chest. “Where am I small?”

Song XiaoXiao sized her up for a moment, then her expression returned to a lifeless ash: “Everywhere.”

“Right, right!” Su Li’er pouted in self-deprecation. “Anyway, I’m not as~ big~ as Sister Song! They’re so big! Almost as big as my head!”

“They are not!?” Song XiaoXiao blushed instantly, her tone hurried.

Su Li’er squinted, examined her carefully, and even moved closer to compare with her own head: “Hey! They’re even bigger than my head!”

“You’re taking this too far!” Song XiaoXiao was mortified and indignant.

“Hey, I’m complimenting you, okay?” Su Li’er grumbled unhappily. “I’m just small, I can’t grow as big as Sister Song likes. It’s all my fault, I’ll work hard to grow bigger, and try to make Sister Song like me.”

“Mad fox!” Song XiaoXiao was so angry her veil fluttered. She was startled for a moment and quickly suppressed her anger.

‘I almost revealed my true face.’

‘This nine-tailed fox is so cunning.’

“Goodbye.” Song XiaoXiao turned and left, striding away like a shooting star.

“Leaving so soon?” Su Li’er quickly shouted at the top of her lungs. “Sister Song, remember to come back for a check-up in a while! Your source of life hasn’t been fully repaired yet!”

Song XiaoXiao immediately stumbled, turning back to shoot her a fierce glare. “Why? Didn’t you say you’d heal me completely?”

Su Li’er gave an awkward smile. “I saw that it’s getting late today, and my immortal power is limited. Next time, how about it? I’ll help Sister Song with a complete treatment next time.”

“Heh, fine! Very good!” Song XiaoXiao gritted her teeth and departed.

Song XiaoXiao’s beautiful silhouette vanished into the vast darkness of the night.

Only then did Su Li’er’s expression return to being emotionless. With a wave of her small hand, the door of the general store slammed shut. Alright, time to close up shop.

She leaned back into the soft bedding, closed her eyes, and carefully sensed her condition.

After a long while, her brows furrowed into a knot.

“Only two more days of lifespan??? After all that effort, I only got this little?!”

Su Li’er’s defenses broke.

Who could even use such a small amount of lifespan!

Su Li’er felt a tragic sense of a bleak destiny.

After feeling emo for three seconds, she immediately adjusted her state of mind.

She was not a fox who gives up.

‘I must live on.’

‘I must solve the lifespan problem!’

‘Since I only gained two days, it means this level is far from enough!’

‘I need more, much more Charm…’

‘Alright!’

‘Time to sleep quickly and head up the mountain early tomorrow to go on a date with the Sect Master!’

‘I must work hard to absorb more lifespan!’

Outside the window, the crescent moon rested on a pillow of clouds, and the mountain range wore a veil woven from the river of stars.

Su Li’er slowly closed her eyes, adjusting into a comfortable sleeping position.

It had been a while since she’d slept in the general store’s bed; it was so soft and comfortable.

Little did she know that on the other side, in the Sword Sect, within a bedchamber, the candlelight was brilliant and bright.

Song Ruoxue leaned against the headboard, her face flushed crimson. Her delicate hands were clenched into fists, her fingertips turning white. When the words—[Remember to come for a check-up, your source of life hasn’t recovered yet…]—rang in her mind, her blood boiled with rage. Her Ice Spirit Root was nearly refined into a Fire Spirit Root!

Her delicate hand pounded the mattress again and again, as if the mattress were the nine-tailed fox’s cunning and enchanting face.

—Thump thump thump.

The sound of her fists hitting the soft mattress echoed.

‘You promised the treatment would be complete!’

‘Mad fox!’

‘How dare you trick me!’

A cold glint shone in Song Ruoxue’s eyes. Ten thousand ways to take revenge had already formed in her mind!

Little Angel: ‘Tie up that damn nine-tailed fox, and then  then brutally……her. Don’t let her go even if she begs for mercy! You must brutally…..her! Let her know what it means to submit and admit her wrongs!’

Little Demon: ‘Lock up that damn nine-tailed fox and torment her sanity! Don’t let her go even when she breaks down! She must endure a month, no, hundreds of days of torment! Then, keep her as a pet to guard the Sword Sect’s gate!’

‘I will definitely make you pay!’

‘A gentleman’s revenge is never too late, even after ten years!’

‘Sooner or later, I, Song Ruoxue, will let you know what cruelty is!’

—Su Li’er, sleeping soundly, suddenly shivered. She rubbed her nose, her eyes hazy with sleep: “Strange, why do I feel a terrifyingly strong sense of enmity?”

****

The next day, early in the morning.

Birds chirped as the morning glow passed through the windowsill, shattering on the wooden floor and on Su Li’er’s profile. She rubbed her eyes, her familiar biological clock waking her.

She slowly sat up and let out a big yawn.

Her brain was foggy for only a few seconds before it booted up at light speed—‘Ding, it’s time to get ready to be the sweet junior sister at the Sword Sect~, remember to play your part well, have a sweet date with Sect Master Song Ruoxue to raise her affection level, and stick close to absorb her lifespan, yo!’

Su Li’er performed a perfect somersault, landing with a perfect score, then formed a hand seal and chanted an incantation:

—”Space-time, open.”

Before her, a spatial tunnel appeared.

Using cheats is just that simple.

She changed into a turquoise long dress, tied her hair into a low ponytail, and then disguised herself as the junior sister. She checked herself over; everything was fine.

Ok! Let’s go!

The endpoint of the space-time tunnel was a small grove.

A few steps up was the Sword Sect.

Su Li’er patted her chubby baby-fat cheeks, giving herself a pep talk: “Little Li, oh Little Li, you have to perform well again today. The sweet junior sister must capture the heart of the great ice block Sect Master!”

After her pep talk, she skipped happily up to the sect gate.

Upon entering the Sword Sect, she immediately trotted to the bedchamber and knocked on the door with a sense of apprehension.

No one answered.

Su Li’er’s expression tensed. She knocked on the door again.

Still no answer.

‘Something’s wrong.’

‘Something’s very wrong.’

So, she called out, “Sect Master, I’m coming in, okay?”

Pushing the door open, Su Li’er quickly looked inside the chamber. A tidy environment, beautiful decorations, and then, by the bed… huh?

‘Why is the Sect Master sitting there reading a book so early in the morning?’

“Sect Master? Good morning.” Su Li’er greeted her tentatively.

“Little Li? You’re here!?” Song Ruoxue looked up in pleasant surprise.

“Yeah.” Su Li’er scratched her head, feeling that something was strange. She walked towards the bed as she spoke: “Sect Master, your dark circles are so heavy. Did you have insomnia again last night?”

Her body was enveloped in softness.

The fragrant scent of a sea of flowers filled her nose.

A gentle warmth covered her skin.

Su Li’er’s brain shut down for a few seconds. Her pretty eyes widened, and she stammered, “Sec-! Sect Master? What’s wrong with you? Why… are you hugging Little Li?!”
