The vampire classes were relatively free.
Once the main content was covered, it was time for the blood slaves to ask questions.
Of course, newcomers like Luoyao and Xiaan, who’d only been here a few days, didn’t dare—or know—what to ask.
After all, their minds were mostly preoccupied with “how to escape.”
Could they just ask Huangwei: Teacher, teacher, can you teach us how to escape back to human society?
That’d be like asking a high school teacher: Teacher, teacher, what artifacts pair best with Raiden Shogun? (TN: Genshin Impact reference)
Most of the questions came from blood slaves who’d been here a long time.
They’d largely given up on escaping, resigned to being obedient playthings.
Even their questions weren’t driven by curiosity but by a desire to learn more about vampire eating habits.
This was to avoid mistakes when serving them, which could lead to punishment.
A class lasted about an hour.
Huangwei never ran over time, which made her far better than human teachers in that regard.
“Alright, that’s it for today’s class. See you in three days.”
The blood slaves stood up, leaving the classroom with silent steps.
Luoyao followed Xiaan, the two girls cautiously holding hands, trailing at the back of the group.
As they passed the podium, Luoyao’s peripheral vision caught Huangwei.
She was sitting there, legs crossed, seemingly staring at her.
Being stared at by a vampire was never a good thing.
They didn’t care about money or looks—just the warm liquid in your veins.
Luoyao nervously swallowed, lowered her head, and tugged Xiaan to walk faster.
“Wait.”
Luoyao’s heart sank. Oh no, does Huangwei want a post-class dessert?
“Xiaan, you can go. Luoyao, stay. I have something to ask you.”
Xiaan, still holding Luoyao’s hand, didn’t let go immediately. She turned, looking at Luoyao with worry.
But Luoyao gave a helpless, bitter smile.
“Go ahead. Don’t worry, I’ll be fine.”
Luoyao wasn’t sure where her confidence in “being fine” came from.
Maybe it was the thought of Noah, that temperamental vampire.
If she knew something happened to Luoyao, she wouldn’t let the culprit off easily.
Or maybe… nothing could be worse than her current situation, so Luoyao was ready to face most dangers.
“I’ll wait for you at the door,” Xiaan said.
“Okay.”
Xiaan reluctantly let go of Luoyao’s hand, but under Huangwei’s gaze, she timidly left the classroom.
Luoyao let out a long breath, as if bracing herself for something important.
She turned to face Huangwei, her tone flat. “Teacher, what do you want to ask me?”
“It’s not really a question, just a chat. Is that okay?”
“Of course.”
As if I have the right to say no, Luoyao thought.
Huangwei raised an eyebrow, her red lips curving into a faint smile.
“Don’t think one thing and say another in front of a vampire. Reading your true thoughts is effortless for me.”
Luoyao shrugged, showing she didn’t care much about that.
Over the past three days with Noah, her thoughts had been read countless times.
Every time Noah tamed her and she resisted, Noah would say,
“Oh my, your body’s fighting back, but deep down, you’re craving my kiss, aren’t you?”
It left Luoyao both embarrassed and furious, feeling like she’d been stripped bare in front of Noah—though, to be fair, she rarely wore much around her anyway.
So when Huangwei claimed she could read her thoughts, Luoyao wasn’t fazed.
“Well, you’re quite the spirited blood s*ave.”
Huangwei smiled lightly.
“You’re the one Noah brought back, right?”
“Yeah.”
The word “brought” was worth savoring.
Huangwei truly embodied a teacher’s role, whether in class or casual conversation.
She rarely used blunt terms to describe the relationship between vampires and humans.
For example, “You were captured by Noah” became “brought back.”
Or “feeding on your blood” was polished into “savoring you” (which sounded rather suggestive).
But no matter how she phrased it, it only masked the fact that Luoyao and the other blood slaves were being exploited and toyed with.
“So, after these few days, what do you think of Noah?”
“She’s… fine.”
Luoyao answered smoothly, but her responses were perfunctory.
She had little to say to this vampire she’d only met twice, especially since Huangwei’s eyes were fixed on her neck, not her face.
It made Luoyao feel unsafe, like Huangwei might pounce and bite through her skin to drink her blood at any moment.
“Hm, I think Noah’s pretty great too. Beautiful, great figure, just a bit… eccentric.”
Huangwei said, “Has she made you wear any strange clothes?”
“Uh, I…”
That question genuinely embarrassed Luoyao.
She clutched the hem of her clothes, her face flushing as she recalled the odd outfits Noah had forced her to wear over the past three days.
Maid outfits, garter stockings, backless sweaters, thongs…
The more she thought about it, the more mortifying it was!
“Oh~ Even thongs? That’s spicy,” Huangwei remarked.
“Teacher, don’t use your mind-reading at a time like this! It’s so embarrassing!” Luoyao bristled like a startled animal.
“Okay, okay, I’ll stop, I’ll stop.”
Huangwei chuckled indulgently, then reached out, grabbing Luoyao’s wrist.
“Come sit on my lap.”
“Huh? This…”
Without waiting for a response, Huangwei pulled gently, and Luoyao had no chance to resist or refuse.
She stumbled into Huangwei’s arms, and after adjusting, found herself sitting on Huangwei’s long, shapely leg.
Huangwei held her wrist with one hand, the other wrapping around Luoyao’s slender waist, her face so close that Luoyao could feel the warmth of her breath and her unique scent.
Since she was sitting on Huangwei’s lap, Luoyao’s head was slightly higher than hers.
Which meant Huangwei’s mouth was perfectly aligned with Luoyao’s neck.
Being held by a beautiful woman was, admittedly, quite pleasant.
But having her stare at your carotid artery? Not so much.
“She hasn’t left a kiss mark on your neck yet,” Huangwei noted.
“My neck…”
Now that she thought about it, Noah had never fed from her neck—always her wrists, thighs, or chest.
“Hm, didn’t you know? Leaving a kiss mark on a blood s*ave’s neck is a way to claim ownership.”
Huangwei explained patiently,
“The neck is the first place vampires notice. If another vampire sees a kiss mark there, they won’t touch that s*ave.”
“Oh, I see…”
Luoyao hadn’t realized the significance.
Huangwei leaned toward Luoyao’s neck, sniffing lightly, her red lips brushing softly against her skin. She whispered,
“Well then… your first time, Teacher will take it.”
