As Lin Ling was the seventh child created by the Light Cluster, it naturally believed he must possess the most flawless appearance. Not only should he stand above all on Blue Star, but he also had to be the most alluring throughout the entire Origin Star Universe.

As the saying goes, a mother always finds fault with her child’s looks. Being an extreme aesthetics enthusiast, the Light Cluster simply couldn’t tolerate Lin Ling’s original, rather ordinary appearance, despite him being quite decent-looking to begin with.

“Hmm, to ensure I sculpt the perfect form, I should probably understand the aesthetic preferences of all Earthlings first,” the Light Cluster mused. “Then, I’ll combine that with the tastes of other humanoid races across the Origin Star Universe. Well, there might be some minor differences between races, but since I created them all, the variations won’t be too drastic. I’ll just refer to my own concepts. Gathering data from the entire universe feels a bit exhausting…”

Moreover, the current circumstances seemed to preclude such an extensive undertaking.

And so, driven by the Light Cluster’s will, a peculiar yet gentle power enveloped the entirety of Blue Star within seconds. It silently permeated the minds of its inhabitants, extracting their thoughts, all without their slightest awareness.

After a brief period of investigation, the Light Cluster retracted its power.

“Hmm…”

“The people on this planet seem to harbor an inexplicable fondness for the color white, especially those from Little Lin Ling’s homeland. Right, then silver-white it is for the main color scheme. And conveniently, those other children have been pestering me for a little sister.”

Still, it would be best to consult the child’s opinion.

As a parent, one ought to consider their child’s thoughts, shouldn’t they?

The Light Cluster couldn’t help but mutter internally.

Although it had already made its decision, a formality still needed to be observed.

“Child, would you prefer to be a girl or a boy?”

“What do you mean? A boy, of course. I *am* a boy,” Lin Ling replied, utterly bewildered by the sudden, inexplicable question.

“Oh, oh, oh, oh, then you shall be a girl! o͡͡͡╮░ O ◡ O ░╭o͡͡͡” A distinctly obnoxious voice echoed into Lin Ling’s ears.

‘What kind of logic is that?’

“Frankly, for your own future, it’s better to be a girl. Trust your mom, I wouldn’t harm you.”

‘?!’

‘Huh?’

“Wait…”

Before Lin Ling could even voice his protest, a wave of pure white energy instantaneously enveloped his body once more.

The next moment,

****

An indeterminate amount of time passed. When Lin Ling finally opened her eyes again, her gaze fell upon a pair of dainty, delicate hands, smooth as congealed fat, and an unnatural protrusion on her chest.

Each detail unequivocally declared a single, horrifying truth: ‘My son is gone.’

“W-w-what… what in the world happened?!”

Lin Ling was instantly overwhelmed by a tempest of grief and indignation, on the verge of unleashing her fury.

However, the Light Cluster merely used its telekinetic power to pick up her phone. “Click-clack!” It began taking a rapid series of photos.

‘Huh, I can see telekinesis?’

When gazing at the invisible hand that held the phone, Lin Ling was so taken aback that she momentarily forgot her intention to vent her frustration.

This body…

It seemed…

Lin Ling sensed a certain uniqueness in her new form at that moment.

She gazed at her own physique, a thoughtful expression on her face.

Just then,

“Look! Are you truly not satisfied with such a flawless image, such a captivating silver-haired beauty?” The Light Cluster suddenly boasted, its tone subtly laced with a hint of menace!

‘?’

It was as if it were saying, ‘Dare to be displeased!’

Ordinarily, the old Lin Ling would have undoubtedly thrown a tantrum to declare her displeasure.

But for some unknown reason, upon hearing the Light Cluster’s voice, Lin Ling gradually calmed down.

‘I can’t let it be unhappy,’

Whether it was an instinct of the new body or not, this thought inexplicably seized Lin Ling’s mind, preventing even a flicker of rebellious emotion from forming.

“Yes, satisfied! Extremely satisfied!”

Despite still feeling deeply annoyed, Lin Ling chose to respond this way. Perhaps it was a woman’s sixth sense, even if she was a late bloomer in that regard.

“That’s good! Your siblings will certainly adore this new look when they see you!” the Light Cluster declared smugly.

Seeing that the Light Cluster harbored no further dissatisfaction, Lin Ling breathed a sigh of relief. Then, she carefully examined the girl in the photograph.

The girl was still clad in her previous male attire, which now seemed utterly incongruous. Yet, it couldn’t conceal her transcendent beauty, especially her bright, clear golden eyes – truly priceless treasures of the world. Even knowing this was her new body, Lin Ling remained utterly captivated.

Observing the silver-haired girl who appeared even more astonished than itself, the Light Cluster sighed and offered a reminder.

“…Hey, stop gawking. You can always hide in your room later to gaze, enjoy, and do whatever you please; no one will bother you. Now, let’s get down to business. Someone’s coming. What are you going to do?”

‘?’

‘Enjoy?’

Hearing the Light Cluster’s words, delivered with such a peculiar tone, Lin Ling froze. Her small face rapidly flushed crimson, and she cried out with a hint of shame.

After all, for a brief moment just now, some truly strange thoughts had indeed surfaced in the girl’s mind.

To have them suddenly voiced aloud made an awkwardness unavoidable.

“Hey, hey! Don’t talk nonsense! …Hm?”

Amidst her agitation, a peculiar sound instantly registered in Lin Ling’s ears.

“Crack!”

‘Huh?’

Following the source of the sound, Lin Ling looked down at her newly purchased, pristine Mate 30 Pro.

This phone had cost her a significant portion of her hidden savings, secretly bought without Xi Yue’s knowledge. Now, with just a slight exertion of her own strength, she had accidentally crushed it beyond repair.

“Damn it!”

‘My phone!’

‘Huh? Wait a second?’

‘No!’

‘This…’

‘Do I… have this much strength now?!’
