Chapter 42: A Vow of Vengeance

Listening to Bai Mengze’s words, Ji Wenyan immediately understood why she was so distraught.

It turned out she was thinking of her deceased parents.

“Yes, the doctor is very skilled,” Ji Wenyan murmured softly.

He raised a hand, gently patting Bai Mengze’s back, hoping to ease her pain.

He wished for her to stop crying.

He had imagined… that Bai Mengze, tear-streaked and weeping, would appear quite unsightly! But to his surprise, she was beautiful.
