Chapter 5: Talk About It Later

As Huangwei’s words landed, the warm breath from her mouth enveloped Luoyao’s neck.

A current of heat traveled down her collarbone, through her curves, as if racing across her entire body in an instant.

Those embraced by a vampire’s kiss often lost their will to resist.

Their intoxicating scent, dreamy voice, and amorous gaze were all designed to paralyze their prey.

Luoyao, held tightly in Huangwei’s arms, her waist firmly grasped, couldn’t move.

Huangwei’s teeth were mere millimeters from that fair, delicate skin.

A slight press, and she could leave her mark on this delectable blood s*ave—a ritual most sublime for vampires.

“Wait, Teacher!”

Luoyao suddenly struggled.

She pushed against Huangwei’s shoulders, springing out of her embrace with a start, clutching her chest and neck as she backed away a few steps.

Huangwei froze, looking at Luoyao with a hint of surprise.

This was… the first time someone had escaped her embrace.

She let out a suggestive hum. “What’s wrong, little darling? Shy?”

“I… I…”

Huangwei slowly rose, her long, elegant legs carrying her toward Luoyao.

She reached out, pulling Luoyao back into her arms.

Luoyao was slightly shorter, and with this embrace, her face was buried in Huangwei’s ample, soft chest.

Huangwei gently stroked Luoyao’s hair, cooing indulgently, “You haven’t been marked by a vampire yet, have you? Serving Noah is serving, and serving me is serving, so why…”

As she spoke, Huangwei’s hand roamed Luoyao’s back, finally resting softly on the curve of her waist.

“Why not choose a teacher who knows the human body better? Hm? I promise I’ll make you feel better than Noah ever could.”

Luoyao bit her lip.

At that moment, the rush of desire hormones in her brain tempted her to abandon certain lines she’d held.

But… but…

“But I don’t want to betray Noah.”

Thud

A muffled sound rang out as Huangwei suddenly pressed Luoyao against the desk.

Luoyao shut her eyes tightly, startled, unsure why her words had upset Huangwei.

In their current position, it would be effortless for Huangwei to feed on her blood.

“Didn’t expect you to be so loyal to your master. Interesting.”

Huangwei said playfully, “You’ll come begging me eventually, Luoyao. When you do, I’ll make up for today, all at once.”

With that, Huangwei released her, adjusted her collar, and left the classroom in her high heels.

Only when the weight pressing on her was gone did Luoyao let out a breath.

She sat dazed on the desk, staring toward the classroom door where Huangwei had disappeared.

Why would that vampire say Luoyao would come begging her…

“Luoyao! Luoyao, are you okay?”

Seeing Huangwei leave, Xiaan rushed in from outside the classroom.

When she saw Luoyao’s slightly disheveled state, she panicked. “What did Huangwei do to you? Did she feed—”

“No.”

Luoyao smiled. “She just… teased me a bit. Nothing too much.”

Hearing this, Xiaan sighed in relief. “Good, good. Let’s get back then.”

“Okay.”

Xiaan stepped forward, supporting Luoyao’s arm as they left the classroom.

By the time they returned to Noah’s room, it was nearly dawn.

Vampires’ schedules were the complete opposite of humans’.

All their activities—feeding, hunting, learning, or teaching—took place at night.

During the day, their activity levels dropped, and they usually slept in their bedrooms, waiting for night to fall again.

As Noah’s blood s*ave, Luoyao had to adapt to this reversed lifestyle.

Dawn was approaching; Noah was probably asleep by now.

Luoyao closed the door quietly and tiptoed into the bedroom.

Behind pale pink bed curtains, Noah’s reclining figure rose and fell like a mountain range, so alluring that Luoyao stared, momentarily entranced.

She slapped her cheeks to snap herself out of it.

Carefully grabbing a blanket, she planned to sleep on the living room sofa.

But as she bent down, Noah suddenly seized her wrist.

“Ah!”

The grab startled Luoyao.

The vampire had been sleeping just moments ago, and this sudden move was like being grabbed by a ghost—anyone would’ve jumped.

“S-Sorry, did I wake you? I’ll go sleep in the living room.”

Still shaken, Luoyao hurriedly apologized.

Rule number one of serving a vampire: Never anger your master.

Minor infractions led to torment; major ones to severe torment.

“I wasn’t woken.”

Noah pulled hard, yanking Luoyao onto the bed, then rolled over, lifting a long leg to wrap her in an embrace.

Now Luoyao was like an oversized pillow in Noah’s arms.

“Your scent is too strong. I smelled you the moment you walked in.”

Her voice was sultry and languid, and at such close range, it made Luoyao’s knees weak.

Feeling the warmth of Noah’s embrace, Luoyao’s tense body gradually relaxed.

But then Noah suddenly said,

“Why do you smell like someone else?”

“Huh? I-I… well…”

Why does this feel like I got caught cheating by my wife?!

Luoyao panicked, unsure how to explain to Noah.

“Did Huangwei mess with you?” Noah asked again.

Luoyao buried her face in the crook of Noah’s neck, answering with a hint of grievance, “Yeah.”

Her voice was soft and plaintive, as if she might cry any second.

“Did she drink your blood—”

“No.” Luoyao said, “She wanted to leave a mark on my neck, talking about ‘first times’ and weird stuff… I-I was a little scared.”

“That b*tch, trying to steal what’s mine,” Noah said angrily.

The remark amused Luoyao.

She lifted her head from Noah’s embrace, gazing at her elegant jawline. “You actually curse?”

“I can eat people, so why wouldn’t I curse?”

“Tch, stinking vampire.”

Luoyao paused, then asked, “Oh, right, the kiss mark on the neck… is it really that important?”

“Yeah, it’s pretty important.”

“Then why haven’t you—”

Luoyao cut herself off mid-sentence.

Continuing would be like a lamb walking into a tiger’s jaws!

What blood s*ave begs their master to leave a mark? That’s just asking for trouble!

Curiosity really does kill the cat—she’d better talk less, she thought.

“What? You want me to mark your neck?” Noah asked with a smile.

“No way!”

Luoyao denied it now, but just twenty minutes ago, she’d told Huangwei, word for word, “I don’t want to betray Noah.”

Of course, even with Noah’s sharp hearing, there was no way she could’ve heard that.

Noah pinched Luoyao’s ear gently. “Then we’ll talk about it later. For now, sleep with me.”

“What do you mean ‘sleep with you’… I’m just your pillow!”
