Moreover, it was a rare day of rest.

However, the scent that predominated on Su Cheng’s body was distinctly alcoholic.

Yin Xuelian found the scent rather displeasing, and at that very moment, the adorable person nestled in her arms chuckled softly in their sleep, incidentally rubbing against her.

“Hehe, Shiyue… so soft…”

Yin Xuelian’s face darkened, a sudden urge to strike someone rising within her.

‘Would you care to repeat that? I didn’t quite catch it.’

“Oh, and Xiya is quite nice too… haha…”

Yin Xuelian felt a surge of intense jealousy, as though a 10086-watt green lightbulb (TL Note: A Chinese idiom meaning being cuckolded or feeling jealous/angered by a partner’s infidelity) had just flared above her head.

Her eyelids, framed by long lashes, twitched incessantly, and her clear eyes glinted with a fierce light.

‘So you’re sleeping in my arms, yet you’re dreaming of other women, are you?’

‘I really need to teach you a lesson.’

She clamped her legs tightly around Su Cheng’s, and the arms wrapped around her tightened considerably.

“Aiyo… where did this python come from… I can’t breathe…”

Su Cheng, feeling uncomfortable from the tight embrace, seamlessly transitioned from sleep to wakefulness, yet upon opening her eyes, she remained somewhat bewildered, unable to distinguish between dream and reality.

“A python?” Yin Xuelian scoffed softly, her gaze fixed on Su Cheng’s bewildered eyes with an expression of displeasure.

“Little Orange, take a good look,” she continued, “am I a python?”

“Eh, eh, Lotus Sister, it’s you! I was wrong… mmm mmm mmm…”

Su Cheng found herself smothered in Yin Xuelian’s embrace, an undeniable foul play of ‘carrying the ball and colliding with someone’ (TL Note: A playful reference to being smothered by someone’s chest).

“Hmph, hmph, you’d do well to reflect on your actions,” Yin Xuelian hummed, holding Su Cheng’s head firmly so she couldn’t move an inch.

Su Cheng could only give up her struggles: “I’m sorry, I’m sorry, if you don’t let go, I’ll suffocate.”

Upon hearing this, Yin Xuelian immediately loosened her grip on Su Cheng, saying with a hint of apology: “Are you alright? Little Orange, you’re not suffocated, are you?”

Su Cheng grinned: “Hehe, of course not! I’m perfectly fine.”

Yin Xuelian offered a sweet smile: “That’s good then.”

Su Cheng glanced around, and the unfamiliar decor startled her, for the room’s overall pale pink color scheme immediately made her suspect she was in Yin Xuelian’s bedroom.

Su Cheng swallowed, her gaze, filled with nervous apprehension, fixed on Yin Xuelian: “Lotus Sister, where am I?”

“Why, my boudoir, of course,” Yin Xuelian replied, her voice as gentle as a wisp of clear breeze, flowing into Su Cheng’s mind.

That simple sentence struck Su Cheng with immense force, leaving her mind reeling for a long moment.

‘Dude, I wake up after a drunken night, and I’m in the school beauty’s room…’

‘Help, what do I do?’

Su Cheng had no idea what to do, for in her previous life, she had never even seen what Yin Xuelian’s room looked like, and now, here she was, waking up in the school beauty’s embrace.

Rebirth wasn’t necessarily all bad, but was waking up in the school beauty’s room truly a good thing?

“What’s wrong? Don’t you like my room?” Yin Xuelian asked, pulling Su Cheng’s delicate body closer, leaving her no chance of escape.

“No… not that…” Su Cheng stammered with an awkward smile, her clear blue eyes darting around uncertainly.

“I’m just curious how I ended up here.”

Yin Xuelian explained unhurriedly: “Last night, didn’t you all go out for barbecue?

I had just finished my classes and returned to school to find you, and as soon as I arrived at the barbecue restaurant, I found you completely drunk.”

Up to that point, Su Cheng still had some vague memories, but everything that happened afterward was a blur.

Yin Xuelian’s eyes darted slyly, and a mischievous smirk played on her lips.

Of course, Su Cheng couldn’t see it; she could only see Yin Xuelian’s graceful neck and the alluring contours hinted at beneath her nightdress.

“And then, you hugged me, insisting we go home together to drink,” Yin Xuelian continued.

“So I brought you back, but before we even had a sip, you fell asleep in my room.”

“Huh? I would say something like that?” Su Cheng’s mind was flooded with questions, her disbelief evident.

Yin Xuelian chuckled: “You were completely drunk, how could you remember, you silly goose?”

Su Cheng pressed on: “So, was I well-behaved in my sleep last night? I didn’t throw a drunken fit, did I?”

“Of course not,” Yin Xuelian replied, gently stroking Su Cheng’s head, her tone in the latter half of the sentence as soft as a spring breeze.

“Little Orange slept very obediently, you know.”

“Why does my mouth feel swollen?” Su Cheng asked, posing the most crucial question, suddenly leaning forward to intently scrutinize Yin Xuelian’s face.

“Sister, you didn’t sneak a kiss while I was asleep, did you?”

Su Cheng’s gaze at that moment was like a spotlight in an interrogation room, fixed firmly on Yin Xuelian, ready to capture and record the slightest change.

“No, how could I?” Yin Xuelian responded, feigning innocence.

“Your sister is a good person.”

‘Yin Xuelian, a good person?’

If it were the Yin Xuelian from her previous life, Su Cheng would have believed her to be a hundred percent good person, but what about now?

Su Cheng didn’t believe it.

‘If you’re a good person, then I’m a saint.’

“But I remember, that day Sister even… force-kissed me…” Su Cheng said, feigning shyness as she finished the sentence, her eyelids fluttering away from Yin Xuelian’s gaze, though her cheeks were undeniably flushing crimson.

Yin Xuelian chuckled softly, as if the past incident had never occurred.

“The past is the past, and now is now.”

“You must trust your sister; don’t think of me so badly,” she added.

“By the way, do you really not remember what happened last night?”

Su Cheng shook her head blankly, her brows slightly furrowed: “I can’t recall.

I only remember seeing you at the barbecue place, but after that, it’s all a blur.

I kind of blacked out.”

“That’s good then…” Yin Xuelian sighed, her voice barely a whisper, as she uttered those few words.

“Hm? What’s good?” Su Cheng pressed, her gaze fixed on Yin Xuelian, as if trying to peer into her thoughts.

“Isn’t it good to wake up in your sister’s arms?”

“Just so-so.

Out of a hundred points, I’d give it an eighty-two.”

Yin Xuelian looked puzzled.

“Why not a perfect score?”

Su Cheng declared, her voice filled with righteous confidence: “Because I have to give you 666 (TL Note: A Chinese internet slang term, ‘liù liù liù,’ meaning ‘awesome’ or ‘smooth,’ often used playfully to praise someone’s skill or coolness) points, hahaha.”

Yin Xuelian joined her in laughter, the taut strings of her heart finally relaxing.

As long as Su Cheng didn’t remember what happened last night, there would be no risk.

Fortunately, besides the stolen kiss, she hadn’t done anything else amiss last night, otherwise, she might have been exposed.

But then again, perhaps not.

An enigmatic curve played on Yin Xuelian’s lips.

‘There are still many opportunities.’

‘One must savor the meal slowly; even an appetizer is a good start.’

‘Some people might not even get an appetizer.’

Somewhere, the person being implicitly referenced couldn’t help but sneeze.

“Go quickly and take a bath; you reek of alcohol,” Yin Xuelian said, her hand returning to encircle Su Cheng’s arm, yet granting her freedom.

Su Cheng pouted: “I don’t smell anything.

Besides, why did Lotus Sister still hold me while I slept? Don’t I stink?”

“Even if you stank, you’d still smell sweet.”

“Ew, what a cheesy pick-up line.”

Goosebumps rose on Su Cheng’s skin as she threw back the covers and got out of bed; a distinct alcoholic scent immediately wafted from the bedding, mingled with a faint fragrance that was, surprisingly, not entirely unpleasant.

“Haaah… huh?”

Su Cheng, who had just finished yawning, noticed her original clothes haphazardly discarded on the floor.

‘Could it be…’

A wave of apprehension washed over Su Cheng as her gaze slowly drifted downward, hoping her fears wouldn’t be confirmed.

When a swathe of white skirt entered her vision, half the weight lifted from Su Cheng’s heart; at least she wasn’t naked.

However, the thin white camisole nightdress she was wearing clung to her form, concealing her body only partially, while its short hem barely covered her bottom when she stood up.

‘Why does it smell… like a certain type of girl (TL Note: ‘qqny’ is a playful, slightly suggestive abbreviation for ‘cute girl’ or ‘sexy girl’ in Chinese internet slang)?’

‘Hajilian, was this your doing?’

Still reeling from surprise and embarrassment, Su Cheng examined the mortifying nightdress she was wearing.

Her cheeks and earlobes were already flushed crimson.

Unbeknownst to her, Yin Xuelian had quietly moved to stand behind her, a deep appreciation for Su Cheng’s delicate form shining in her eyes.

“Little Orange, do you like it? I prepared it especially for you,” Yin Xuelian murmured, slyly opening her arms to embrace Su Cheng.

“Lotus Sister, how could you? This is clearly… clearly…”

“Clearly what? Hmm?” Yin Xuelian asked, blinking her clear eyes, her head peeking over Su Cheng’s shoulder.

“It’s just for a certain type of girl (TL Note: ‘qqny’ is a playful, slightly suggestive abbreviation for ‘cute girl’ or ‘sexy girl’ in Chinese internet slang)…”

“Don’t mind those details,” Yin Xuelian chuckled happily.

“Little Orange looks really good wearing it, hehe.”

Yin Xuelian laughed joyfully, but Su Cheng found herself utterly unable to smile.

Deep down, she couldn’t accept being dressed like this, especially not in front of Yin Xuelian.

“No hehe… Waaah, Lotus Sister, what are you doing?!”

Yin Xuelian unexpectedly lifted Su Cheng into a bridal carry, a sweet yet dangerous smile gracing her lips.

“Come on, let’s go to the bathroom and take a bath.”

Terror flashed in Su Cheng’s eyes.

“No! I don’t want to! Put me down! Put me down!”

Su Cheng, cradled in her arms, struggled with all her might, much like a white cat unwilling to be bathed by its owner.

But Yin Xuelian had no intention of letting this little cat escape.

“Be good, darling, listen to me~”

“I’m not your darling! Lotus Sister, have some self-respect!”

“Hehe… it’s just a bath, I won’t eat you.”

“That’s even more dangerous! Save me, Prison Sis (TL Note: A playful and informal term of address, ‘laomei,’ often used among close friends, sometimes implying someone is strict or like a warden.)!”

No matter how much Su Cheng struggled or cried for help, it was all in vain.

Ultimately, Su Cheng was carried into the bathroom by Yin Xuelian.
