X
Midnight.
Chloe sat on the palace balcony, gloomily staring at the glaring sun.
Sunlight bathed her face, but she didn’t flinch, letting it shine on her.
The day had come.
I, a Sword Saint, reduced to a vampire queen’s personal maid.
Humiliating!
Utterly humiliating!
“Hey! You, maid! Don’t sit on the balcony edge—you’ll fall! If you’ve got nothing to do, don’t wander at night!”
“…”
So annoying!
I want to yell at that guard for ruining my emo moment!
“Oh, got it. I’m going back…”
In a huff, she huffed once.
Then she hunched over, climbed down from the balcony, and slunk back to her room.
From then on, her days as Larvia’s personal maid began.
Day 1: Sigh… living under someone else’s roof is tough…
Day 2: Funny? I just see a despairing Sword Saint.
Day 3: Better just serve Larvia well.
Day 4: Wonder if Larvia would like this snack…
Day 5: “Larvia, um… I’ve been thinking. Taking your 6 gold coins feels wrong… so, if you can’t sleep at night… um, you can… come find me…”
A month passed quickly, and it was Chloe’s final day as a personal maid.
In that time, her view of the role had shifted.
She’d always thought personal maids worked hard.
After all, their pay was much higher.
Regular maids earned 10 gold coins a month, while the palace’s two personal maids got 15.
More pay for more work, Chloe had assumed.
But after experiencing it, she realized the truth.
Who said personal maids work hard? This job, so comfy.
Finish a bit of work, then eat and sleep all day!
And she had an even comfier place to sleep.
“Wake up, wake up, time to get up.”
In her sleep, Chloe felt her cheeks pinched.
“Ugh… got it…”
Chloe groggily opened her eyes and sat up.
Larvia was already awake, in her nightgown, stretching on the bed.
“Dress me~ It’s the last time, my little personal maid~”
“Right away.”
Chloe yawned long, wiped tears from her eyes, and fetched Larvia’s usual black dress from the wardrobe.
Standing before Larvia, she was supposed to help her change.
But today, she paused, then tossed the dress onto the bed.
Stare—
She said nothing, just lowered her head and stared at Larvia.
Larvia got the hint, opening her arms.
Hug~
Afterward, Chloe perked up like she’d been charged.
She dressed Larvia as usual.
With a snap, the elastic knee-high socks went on, slightly indenting her thighs.
Then she led Larvia to the vanity, brushing her hair.
Half her daily tasks were done.
The rest was accompanying Larvia to the study, helping when needed—changing pens, pouring tea, small stuff.
Thanks to their special relationship, Chloe was far less reserved than Sheffield.
Like munching chips and reading manga while Larvia worked.
Crunch, crunch.
Crunch, crunch.
Crunch, crunch.
“…Hey, clean up the crumbs you drop.”
Chloe sucked her fingers, mumbling, “Y-Yesh… ouch!”
Damn! Bit my tongue!
“Got it.”
Crunch, crunch.
After days, Chloe was a pro.
She kept her snacking to half the study. When documents arrived, she’d open the door just enough to take them without revealing her munching.
After finishing morning paperwork, Larvia set down her pen for lunch.
Chloe cleaned up her mess.
“Done?”
“Mm.”
Larvia nodded.
“Cool, I’m off to lunch.”
Chloe wiped her hands with a handkerchief, ready to leave.
Larvia glanced at the trash—four large chip bags—and her mouth twitched.
“…Hold on.”
“Huh? What?”
“Little Chloe, no lunch for you today.”
“Wha—why?!”
Chloe glared, cheeks puffed.
Larvia said nothing, just picked up a hand mirror and held it to Chloe’s face.
“Little Chloe, don’t you think your face is rounder~?”
Chloe’s heart skipped.
She looked away, panicking. “N-No way! Where?”
“…”
Larvia didn’t speak. She cast a sixth-tier haste spell, zipping behind Chloe and grabbing her.
When Chloe realized, she was pinned in front of a full-length mirror.
“What’re you—ow!”
“Look at that belly.”
Larvia kneaded Chloe’s stomach, then squeezed, pushing out the pudge.
“Well? Admit it now?”
She pinched and molded the fat into shapes.
“Ugh…”
“And these thighs~”
Larvia lifted Chloe’s skirt, pinching her legs.
Chloe fell silent.
Her thighs were thicker.
“Little Chloe, before you get worse, I suggest you watch your weight~”
“I-I refuse!”
“Fine.”
Larvia sighed.
Chloe suddenly felt weightless, the world spinning.
When she realized, Larvia had tucked her under her arm.
“Off to the scale~”
Larvia headed for the door.
“Wait, for real?!”
No! I can’t be seen like this!
“I admit it! I’ll lose weight! Don’t take me out!”
“Then you’ll follow my advice?”
“Mm-hmm!”
Chloe nodded frantically.
Advice? This is coercion!
“I’ll eat two fewer scones a day!”
“Nope.”
Larvia set her down.
“Little Chloe, I want you back to your old self in a month.”
