This, however, allowed Aunt Xia to breathe a deep sigh of relief, for at least now the matter wouldn’t be exposed.
With that thought, Aunt Xia sat up, meticulously tidying her somewhat disheveled clothes.
Meanwhile, Xia Wei had already entered the living room, and upon seeing her mother, a hint of confusion crossed her face.
“Mom, what are you doing?”
Hearing this, Aunt Xia forced herself to appear calm, replying as if nothing were amiss.
“I—I was just resting for a bit. What’s wrong?”
Xia Wei murmured an “Oh,” seemingly harboring no suspicions, but before Aunt Xia could fully relax, the young woman spoke again.
“Mom, why is your face so red?”
A flicker of panic darted across Aunt Xia’s beautiful eyes at the question, and she quickly interjected.
“I—I’m a bit warm. Yes, a little warm…”
As she spoke, Aunt Xia even fanned herself with her hand, hoping to convince the young woman of her words.
However, Xia Wei found this even stranger, for it was already late autumn; how could her mother be feeling warm? What exactly was her mom up to?
Though a little puzzled, Xia Wei didn’t dwell on it, simply picking up the water glass from the coffee table, intending to take a sip.
Seeing this, Aunt Xia rose to her feet, planning to clear the dishes from the table.
From his invisible state, Bai Hao observed Aunt Xia’s clumsy acting, shaking his head with an irrepressible chuckle.
‘Aunt Xia’s acting truly isn’t up to par. It seems I’ll have to hone her skills myself.’
With that thought, Bai Hao flashed a mischievous grin, gradually drawing closer to the voluptuous aunt, who remained blissfully unaware of the impending mischief.
Aunt Xia had been diligently clearing the dishes, but in the very next moment…
“Ah!”
Aunt Xia’s delicate frame abruptly trembled, and a startled gasp, laced with shyness, escaped her crimson lips.
The dishes in her hands clattered to the floor, shattering instantly.
Xia Wei, startled by the commotion, rushed to her mother’s side.
“Mom, are you alright?”
Hearing her daughter, Aunt Xia quickly concealed her unusual state, shaking her head.
“No, I’m fine.”
As she spoke, Aunt Xia found a broom, preparing to sweep up the broken pieces, yet a hint of resentment simmered in her heart.
‘That rascal husband, ambushing me like that!’
Watching from the side, Xia Wei felt an increasing unease about her mother’s behavior and couldn’t help but voice her concern.
“Mom, are you really alright?”
Aunt Xia was about to assure her daughter that she was fine, but in the very next second, that familiar sensation washed over her once more…
She knew her mischievous husband was up to no good, yet she was utterly powerless, compelled to feign normalcy so as not to alert her daughter.
Thus, Aunt Xia’s crimson lips parted slightly, and she spoke with some difficulty.
“No, I’m fine. Just drink your water and go back to your room.”
Xia Wei pouted, agreeing for now, but her current bewilderment showed no signs of dissipating.
As the sound of the young woman’s bedroom door closing echoed, Aunt Xia could finally hold back no longer, letting out a soft, seductive whimper as she limply collapsed onto the floor.
At that moment, Bai Hao dispelled his invisibility, gazing at his hand with a flicker of satisfaction in his eyes.
“Aunt Xia, you’re truly amazing.”
Aunt Xia gazed up at the towering young man, the voluptuous mature woman letting out a coquettish hum, her voice laden with resentment.
“Husband, you’re too much…”
Seeing the mature beauty on the verge of tears, Bai Hao swiftly pulled her into his embrace, soothing her by gently stroking her exquisite butterfly back.
“Aunt Xia, you’ve misunderstood me. I wasn’t deliberately teasing you; I was merely honing your acting skills.”
Aunt Xia paused, taken aback by his words, her large, dewy eyes possessing an indescribable allure.
Seeing this, Bai Hao seized the opportunity, leaning in to kiss her crimson lips. Yet, after a month of being his ‘golden bird in a cage’ (TL Note: A Chinese idiom, ‘jīnwū cángjiāo,’ referring to keeping a beautiful woman in a secluded luxurious place, often implying a mistress or lover.), Aunt Xia’s kissing skills had long been honed, and she quickly began to respond with eagerness…
Only much later did Bai Hao finally lift his head, leaving Aunt Xia breathless, her eyes languid and seductive.
Catching the mischievous glint in the young man’s eyes, she playfully slapped him, a hint of chiding in her touch.
“You just wanted to tease me!”
Bai Hao chuckled at her accusation, offering no further rebuttal, and expertly changed the subject.
“Aunt Xia, weren’t you still clearing the dishes?”
Aunt Xia rolled her eyes at his remark.
“It’s all your fault! The dishes are all broken now.”
With that, Aunt Xia resumed gathering the shards from the floor. Perhaps due to her voluptuous figure, the slightest bend of her waist caused the fabric of her clothes to stretch tautly…
By the time everything was tidied, Aunt Xia was glistening with sweat, her entire body feeling weak.
Ordinarily, a bit of housework wouldn’t have left her in such a state, but with Bai Hao, that mischievous imp, around, Aunt Xia found herself expending several times the usual effort for every task…

The night was hazy, and the river of stars shimmered brilliantly.
Aunt Xia gently opened her daughter’s bedroom door, and upon finding Xia Wei sound asleep, she finally let out a breath of relief.
In the very next second, though nothing was visibly behind her, she was lifted by an unseen force and carried directly out of the room.
Bai Hao’s actions left Aunt Xia trembling with apprehension, terrified that Xia Wei might suddenly awaken.
Once he had carried Aunt Xia back to her bedroom, Bai Hao took a moment to carefully survey her boudoir.
The bedroom, though not large, was impeccably tidy, imbued with a rich, fragrant scent, just like Aunt Xia herself.
Truth be told, this was his first time entering Aunt Xia’s private chambers, prompting him to ask, almost subconsciously.
“Aunt Xia, what number am I among those who have entered your room?”
Aunt Xia froze at his question, suddenly realizing something, and with a mix of honesty and hesitation, she held up two fingers.
‘After all, she herself used to be a man, so wouldn’t her rascal young husband be the second? That makes sense, right?’
Her honesty, however, caused Bai Hao’s expression to darken, and he immediately pinned the mature enchantress against the wall.
“Aunt Xia, did you have another boyfriend before me?”
‘That can’t be right. Aunt Xia’s first time was clearly with me. Could it be that she only dated someone, but they never went that far?’
The thought still irked Bai Hao, and he began to nibble at Aunt Xia’s delicate neck once more.
Aunt Xia, overwhelmed by the strange sensations from the young man’s kisses, could only bite her crimson lip and murmur.
“I—I’ve never had any other boyfriends besides you…”
Hearing this, Bai Hao’s actions halted, his eyes instantly flashing with delight, his change of expression was remarkably swift, akin to the famous face-changing artistry of Sichuan opera.
“Really? Then, Aunt Xia, who was the first person to enter your room?”
Upon hearing the young man’s words, Aunt Xia instinctively recoiled, shrinking her neck and whispering softly.
“The first… was myself…”
Bai Hao paused, surprised by her reply, then instantly recalled that Aunt Xia had once disguised herself as a man. In that light, it all made perfect sense.
At this realization, Bai Hao’s mood brightened considerably, as if the clouds had parted after a storm, and he scooped up the voluptuous Aunt Xia before him, spinning her around twice.
“Mmm… stop, put me down…”
Aunt Xia pleaded sweetly, yet her voice was so utterly seductive it stirred the most primal desires within the young man.
Evidently, there was a slight discrepancy between what Aunt Xia meant and what Bai Hao understood, but Aunt Xia had no intention of explaining.
She was afraid—afraid that her words might lead to undesirable consequences.
If, after telling him, Bai Hao lost interest in her, it would be fine if he simply let her go.
But what if he grew to hate her? Would he tear her limb from limb? After all, he was a ‘Gui’.
